This beautiful hilltop property overlooks spectacular 360 degree views, which bring your gaze as far as the neighbouring islands. The white-wash character of the building amongst the olive groves in the garden, is your archetypal Greek environment. Janet, the lovely owner, makes you instantly feel at home. A place we would want to come back to.

We are just on our way home from a lovely 10 day stay at Janet’s apartment. What a lovely hostess, cosy apartment and beautiful garden. We would be very happy to return another time. The location. Was excellent for the harbour front with all its restaurants and bars. A great base to explore the island. Thank you Janet

The simplicity and beauty of Janet's Art Pension and the kindness, thoughtfulness and warmth of Janet herself made this a simply wonderful place to stay. We are already planning to return next year. The villa is situated roughly equidistance between the beautiful port of Fiscardo and the very beautiful Embilisi Beach. It is only a minute's walk from the very friendly Restaurant Mirella. We were so very happy staying at Janet's villa and it made a very special base to explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Thank you Janet for your lovely home and for the generosity of your hospitality.

We almost didn't book ourselves into Janet's, purely because the cost was about half what we'd normally expect to pay for accommodation when we go away. But boy, are we glad we did. We loved Kefalonia, we loved Fiscardo, and we loved Janet's. OK, so it's simple, but that's part of its charm. And in every respect that really mattered, it was terrific. The location - 10 minutes walk from the centre of Fiscardo and from a lovelty beach - was excellent; the welcome was warm; the en-suite room was perfectly adequate; freshly prepared breakfasts in the garden were a daily delight; and the view from the roof terrace, across azure waters to the neighbouring islands of Lefka and Ithica, was absolutely stunning. Recommended without hesitation.

This pension sits on a hill, well above the town of Fiscardo itself. The lovely, traditional-style building is surrounded by a charming garden full of flowers, butterflies and fruit trees - a great spot for your morning breakfast in the sun.

Janet was very honest with me in advance about the small size of our particular room (I gather that the others are larger), but it was for only one night and worked very well for us. The dedicated bathroom was not ensuite, but was directly outside our door. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. There were other guests in residence but the building seemed very quiet.

The view from our room, north toward Lefkada, was beautiful. From the rooftop, it was truly spectacular.

Janet was a gentle, soft-spoken and very welcoming host - invisible most of the time but always appearing when needed.

We were looking for a real Greek experience of Kefalonia and liked the fact that Janet (who is Greek) only had a handful of rooms in her home, each one different, some with an integral kitchen. We were not looking for purpose built 'touristy' accommodation so absolutely loved our stay. The rooms are simple in a traditional Greek style, very clean and serviced daily. There are shutters on the rooms and doors for night time which block out the sun wonderfully, which makes for a great night sleep, when you open them in the morning you are squinting in the sunshine...like coming out of the cinema in the day. Ours had a fridge just outside our door, ideal to chill water, beer, wine etc. It was such a peaceful, relaxing place sitting under the olive trees listening to the cicadas and stargazing at night. Janet is such a warm, lovely and kind hostess nothing is too much trouble. She provides a most delicious breakfast alfresco in her garden on request, with homemade jams and breads, super Greek yoghurt, fruit and local honey... even a rare Greek cheese covering fresh tomatoes that can only be sourced from a small shop in Argostoli! It is the little touches that made it special...coffee, homemade biscuits and Turkish delight on our arrival, a candle in a lantern by our door when we returned from the town at night..handing us some apricots she had picked from her tree.. to a little note in our room saying there was fruit in jelly in the fridge if we wanted some. On her roof terrace the panorama of the islands of Ithaca, Lefkada and mainland Greece is beautiful..made even better with a glass of something before dinner. Janet's is perfectly placed for exploring. It's just down the road from the beautiful Dafnoudi beach, as keen snorkellers it was our favourite as we saw the most diverse range and number of fish. We stayed in May at the start of the season meeting two couples, and a single traveller, all of whom were repeat visitors to the pension..what better testament! Do we recommend Janet's ...absolutely....would we return..absolutely.

We loved Janet's Art Pension. The gardens were beautiful, the olive grove offering shade and relaxation. Janet was so helpful and full of ideas and tips which made our stay so enjoyable. Everything was nearby but the place also offered quietness which is so appreciated during summer holidays. There are places within walking distance, but a car is useful if you want to discover Kefalonia. Janet prepared us breakfast: eating it under the trees and in the beautiful gardens, it was so quintessentially Greek! The breakfast was full of tasty treats that Janet prepared and she always offered us something wonderful!

To top it all up, the price was amazing (between 45 and 60 euros for the summer) which at first, we didn't believe could be true, but it really was. We highly recommend it!

Peaceful, charming, impeccable house with ensuite rooms, (two with kitchen), near beautiful beach and Fiskardo's glamorous yacht harbour; breakfasts served, on request, by delightful unflappable owner, Janet, in the spacious garden, in dappled shade from olive and other trees and shrubs. Stunning priceless views of surrounding islands from the roof terrace. Also, it's great value in the pricey Fiskardo area.

As other reviews state, nothing is to much trouble for Janet. Even from before I arrived her swift , helpful emails made the booking easy. I was travelling alone and it makes such a difference when you are met by a warm smiling face and the property is exactly like its host. Ozzing warmth and comfort I cannot say enough great things about this place. The location is an easy walk to Fiscardo Port yet you are far enough away to be in your own tranquilty. The beach is AMAZING! and I have been all over the world its a 10 minute walk aswell. There's all your ameneties you'll need close by including a Taverna across the road. I see Trip Advisor can't tell you the rates but I assure you they are excellent value for money. At night she lights candles around the beauitful villa and in the day there's lovely chill out spots in sun loungers and deck chairs around. I could go on forever 10 out of 10. Great location, price and ambiance, thank you Janet! and I'll see you again soon, Malika

"There are three rooms all together (occupy complete groundfloor), We had two of them, each had a separate bathroom, and one had a kitchenett. The kitchenett wasa usefully, but basically equipeed. We asked for few extra things, and were provided from Janet's own kitchen. The 3 bed room was really spacious, when it was too hot outside all 5 of us could have a meal in there, but in the evening it is lovely to have a meal (or just a beer) outside under the olive trees."
