So we arrived at palm Village on the 31st August. Its a lovely big hotel with plenty pools. Easy jet fly there at 6am out of Newcastle so we got there at 10am ish, which was great as we were travelling with a 1 and 2 year old. We were told our room wouldn't be ready till 4pm. This is no good if you have small children with you but we thought OK find a cool bar or sit in 1 of there 3 returants, they are lovely the bars and restaurants but this is the first hotel abroad I've ever been too that doesn't have aircon on in any of there communal areas. This was horrendous as for Portugal it was exceptionally hot. So please please but your air con on! Also late check out was impossible too as they won't let u ask for it until the morning of your check out. By which time the room will be booked. Which again was no good when travelling with small children. The food was fine very basic all inclusive hotel food. Samey but plenty choice and all cooked well.yes there were flies but they wernt that bad, I only seen 3 in the restaurant and we were there 9 nights. It's normal in the heat unfortunately that. So the reviews on here rabbiting on about flies are just being over dramatic. The rooms are massive! And fab for families. The aircon in there was great. Our lights were broken in one room but whatever. We coped. Otherwise Loveky modern bathroom, aircon in all rooms and a huge safe balcony for small children. Here is my only big bare though. The children's entertainment is far to late. The mini disco starts at 8.30pm. That's far to late for young toddlers who have been up all day in the sun. However they had bits and pieces in during the day. Which were OK, but again abit to old for toddlers. So maybe cater abit for yiur younger guests too. The entertainment team hotels are great. Very friendly. But as thhe schools are now back in the UK the majority of children there were under 4 years old and I know we weren't the only guests who were abit disappointed at the entertainment programme. There are ideal small pools for younger guests also plenty sun beds, towels etc. My girls and us did have a fab time, I think this hotel could be amazinf if they just tweak a few things. Tuis entertainment team is pants. They were never there. I seen them twice. Once walking around with slushes. And on the last day. This is not what we paid for.

Hotel nice & clean plenty of choice was surprised at how much disposable tableware was used , there wasn’t proper glasses or coffee cups which again was a let down .

Just got back from this t whole delay coming and going thanks tuí. Arrived on September 1st wanted to leave by 3rd,arrived late 11pm checked in at my wife collected the keys to only to be given a point in the direction of our room remember it’s pitch black no idea where we was going walking around for ages like lost sheep eventually we found a block1 ,our room was 1123b but when we got to the door we saw a guy entering 1123. No abc on door so searching around for our room finally snapped went back to reception scared the living out of them I lost it completely eventually someone came and showed me were our room was which was behind the same door 1223. This really got my back up because it should have stated rooms abc. Got in to the room no lights eventually found a lamp at side of bed also one in front room. Next day me and my wife woke up to find the room was not what we payed for went to reception to be complain to be treated by a tuí rep who was more interested in her hair and make up ( I love me) kicked of again but got no were but managed to make complaint official.toilets what toilets 1mans /1 woman’s cubical only for the whole block/bar no locks on the door. Me and my wife booked this holiday thinking kids were back at school wrong half of Portugal were there with there kids.everthing was catered for family’s and português nothing in English music tv etc all for them made to feel like a second class citizen no manners no plz/thank u just dirty looks.biggest complaint flies flies and flies everywhere especially in restaurants all over food plates etc.been looking at old reviews and keep seeing same response from the management there working on it rubbish some of these reviews go back 4/5 years.again complained to useless tuí reps and was given the answer it’s that time of year WHAT the f ck. Don’t trust these tuí reps there just out to get there commission from selling u trips one couple we spoke with had payed £32 to go to sea park only to find they had to pay another £16 to get the bus there.tui did not mention this at all to them. Went to sports bar on a few occasions soon stopped going as both women we saw working there used the toilet and never washed there hands, every time they went. You can see straight in to the toilets and see people using the sink/ towels.this is disgusting as beer is classed as a food I learnt this when I did my basic hygiene certificate.all in all the hotel is and never 5 star more like 2

just arrived home from this place The pros Big apartments cleaned everyday Food was ok plenty of selection to choose for breakfast cereal, bread, full english, omelettes. Lunch and evening meals pasta, fish, meats, salads, desserts Drinks superbok, somersby, local spirits, cocktails a plenty Plenty of sunbeds and pools The cons Pool areas not very clean Bins overflowing at times even into next day If you like meat pizza your out off luck 🤣 think 2 lunch days out the 7 it was veggie ones Very noisy around pools near restaurants Kids entertainers area No adult only pools seems strange too say theres 10 pools Enjoyed my stay but would not return As for the flies folk were moaning about Its 30 degrees plus so your going too get them in and around the restaurants when doors are left open but only saw odd few in them so dont let it put you off. As for couples holidays i would not recommend,

I’ve done over 60 reviews over the years from budget to 5* plus and will tell you what I think. Arrival ***** On arrival I was met by a really friendly and helpful member of staff. He gave me details about the resort and how it works A good start Room **** My room (block 7 third floor) is a suite that sleeps 4. It is huge, it’s got a huge bed, decent walk in shower room. Three air conditioning units. A large balcony with a table and four chairs. A sofa bed in the lounge with a coffee table, 2 single comfy chairs, a table with 4 chairs to eat from and a drinks making area. Tv. Everything is brown and looks a bit dowdy hence only 4 stars Pool area **** I think that there are 8 or nine circular pools. The ones near the restaurants are very noisy but the other areas are quiet. There are plenty of loungers and even at 09:30 in the morning half of them didn’t have towels on them. They were comfortable and towels are provided. The pools have very dark tiling making them look like ponds but I got used to them. Restaurants **** I’ve given it four stars because it fits with the resorts four star rating. There are three restaurants, Italian, Mediterranean and a grill. How you use them is really weird. You are requested to book a table and time (evening only) in one of the three restaurants but that is not necessarily the restaurant you get your food from. You can travel between each restaurant filling your plate with whatever food you want. For example I got some pasta from the Italian restaurant and some salmon from another and sat at my nominated table to eat it. Really weird but it works. Food **** I thought that generally the quality and choice was very good. Meat - sirloin steak, belly pork, roast hog, lamb chops, Veal cheek stew, duck with orange sauce, kebabs, chicken, sausages and more. Fish - Salmon, cod, sardines, mackerel, sea bass and a few others I’d forgotten. They all had a lovely sauce to compliment them. Salad bar - I’m not much of a salad fan but each restaurant had similar vegetables. Obviously, for the hot food, veg including roast potatoes, chips etc all looked decent. The deserts were Portuguese style with a decent selection of others including fresh fruit. I’m a coffee freak and the coffee here is terrible but some people liked it. Drinks **** The beer and cider was good and cocktails ok. Red, white and Rośe wine was ok too. Didn’t see any top branded spirits but what they had tasted ok. All glasses were plastic or paper for hot drinks and that includes your room. I brought my own beaker and coffee bags. They didn’t have much choice because of the type of place it was, safety issues. Staff***** I found the staff at all times to be excellent but some guests told a different tale. Maybe if your attitude to the staff when you have a problem is not good the staff react accordingly. Overall 4.5 out of 5. It does not really resemble a hotel, it may have been private apartments or a timeshare resort in a previous life. For a family holiday I can recommend this resort they seemed to have a decent kids club. Would I return, yes

Hi. How long it takes to walk to the beach from hotel and is it a difficult walk (ie. up and down hills?)
I think it is more like a 20 min walk to be honest and there are some hills.

Do any of the 2 bed suite's have all single beds? We are 4 ladies traveling together.
All beds were two queen beds pushed together in the suite we had. So easily separated.

Has anyone booked for 2020 can’t seem to find any packages from Uk from Bristol airport
I messaged First Choice on FB. This was their answer. This hotel is off sale currently for future bookings, (this has no affect on those already booked before the beginning of August 2019 to stay for summer 2020) whilst we negotiate our contract with the supplier. We'll be unable to confirm at this time, if or when this hotel will go back on sale ^Jo
