Stayed here for a week with friends and it was simply beautiful!

The Villa is located not too far from town so you can walk down to the local restaurants and bars. In addition, there is a supermarket not too far so everything you need can be found a short walk away.

The Villa is beautifully designed, with plenty of space to hang out in large groups, around the pool, and equally spaces to nestle yourself in a quieter spot.

In short, don't think twice, book!

Beautiful gardens and views relaxed and comfortable and within walking distance of Skiathos village.
The cottages and suites have private small gardens or balconies and were al. self-catering. It was ideal venue for a gathering of friends and family.

Fantastic view but poor! The rooms non renovated at all , the owners nice people but...no air condition was working, too noisy from the main road ! Megali Amos is the best location , avoid Kristina's suggestion where to eat and drink ! Try to explore the island your way

The minute we stepped into the beautifully manicured garden of Villa Ella, we knew we were in for a treat of a different kind. Although the Villa lacks the frills of a swimming pool and other super luxury comforts, it more than makes up for these with über friendly service, cleanliness and charm. We experienced real 'Greece' with simple but beautiful furnishings and well equipped kitchenettes. Stunning views abound from each room or cottage which all have their own unique style.

Very short walks to the beach, very good tavernas and a shopping market completed our 6 night stay. We were sad to leave but will return to this lovely establishment that exudes warm energy run by a beautiful family who will remain in our memories of Skiathos.

The gardens on the property are absolutely stunning - you feel completely removed and relaxed whilst there although you very centrally located just above a bus stop (bust stop 5), shop and beach entrance. There is no pool but there are more than enough beaches to choose from. You are within walking distance from the port/restaurants/pubs/clubs (+/- 15 mins) - hot in the peak of summer midday but definitely doable.

The rooms vary in size but are generally spacious, tastefully decorated, have enough plug points, clean and white linen, airconned, each with their own verandah area to enjoy. They provide you with towels which were replaced during our 7 night stay. Wifi not great in the rooms but you will work out where the strong connections are.

We were a large group (10 friends) and the accommodation suited us perfectly - everyone had their own spacious rooms but we could easily congregate at the braai/barbeque and various seating areas in the evening before heading out for dinner which was great. We took the Garden Cottage, Carlos Cottage and one of the rooms upstairs which had amazing views but no en-suite bathroom. Best to chat to the owners to see which rooms will work best for you.

The owners go above and beyond in recommending restaurants, beaches and scooter/quad bike hire and it is worth taking their advice - all their recommendations were amazing. This is a place you can return to time and time again.

We spent a week at Villa Ella for our family holiday in Skiathos. We were a large family group who booked out most of the rooms in the Villa. We had heard lots of good things about Villa Ella from other South Africans who had visited and planned the trip a year in advance. From other reviews we knew that it would not be luxurious, but the lovely garden and communal outdoor areas suited our family group. We also liked the central location. The garden is beautiful and there is a lovely view of the ocean, but the noise from the road is a constant throughout the day and night. The garden cottage behind the house is the quietest, but all have noise.
My husband and I stayed in the downstairs family cottage, Garden Spiti. The rooms were spacious with high ceilings and nice shutters which made it cool. We didn't mind the simple decor, in fact it was perfect not having to mind about our toddlers messing things up, but a few things made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
Firstly, the beds in the adult room were extremely old and uncomfortable. While most of the other beds in the Villa were quite hard, our mattresses were extremely soft and springy, in a bad way, almost like water beds. We almost dreaded going to sleep at night knowing our backs would be sore in the mornings. Secondly, the bathrooms are very basic and small. Thirdly, the cats are a constant presence. We were often woken up at night by cat fights and the day bed outside our room smelled of cat urine. Our kids loved the cats though. All these things would have been fine if the beds were nice and comfortable, but unfortunately they weren't!
The kitchens were well equipped and we had some lovely lunches and dinners under the stars. There are plenty of grocery shops nearby. The beach in front of the Villa is easily accessible for a quick swim, which was great for the kids. We hired cars for the week which allowed us to explore more widely but we noticed that there was a bus stop in front of the Villa. It's easy to walk into the old town, but the road is very busy and not really made for pedestrians. We had a lovely holiday in Skiathos, but I'm not sure we would rush back to Villa Ella.

We found one of the nicest beach hotels in the same area
We never got a receipt for the reservation

Thoroughly enjoying our stay at this villa. We are visiting with friends and have a self catering cottage with two bedrooms set in a beautiful garden within easy access of the beach and main village. Also great that it's on the bus route. Super friendly hosts with loads of local knowledge, hints and tips. I could stay here for a very, very long time and will certainly be back. Great value for money.

In 1980, when my husband and I were very young we spent 10 blissful days at Villa Ella on Skaithos, Greece. We decided to return with 3 children and a boyfriend of one daugter, this year. The village has grown tremendously, but it is still lovely and it is most enjoyable to stroll along the cobbled shopping streets. Great jewelery. Good restaurants.
We stayed at Villa Ella again, which is now run by the grandson of Ella, who originaly owned the guesthouse. ( She was South African) Eugene, the grandson and his gorgeous young wife, Elana, run the guesthouse with the zest and passion of the young. All the apartments are self-catering. The guesthouse is 10 min from the village and a 10euro ride from the airport by taxi. The beach infront of the hotel (across the road) is perfect. Lunch venue right on the beach and also several very good restaurants, for lunch or dinner. There is a supermarket at the entrance to the guesthouse, as well as a busstop. Everybody rents open jeeps to whizz about in at 35 euros a day. Eugene and Elana give advice and make bookings and speak several languages. One evening they painted the town red with my kids, who still rave about their hospitality and warmth. The rooms/flats are truly island style Greece. Basic, but clean and cheerful with patios or balconies and a wonderful garden. The best value on the island. Incidentally, a part of the movie Mamma Mia was filmed on the island and we were lucky to attend the premiere one evening in an open air theater. We cannot wait to return. This time for longer than 10 days.
