My significant other and I stayed at Kusudalweni for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were extremely hospitable and treated us like we were absolute royalty. Not only that but we were made to feel as though Kusu was our home. Each time we came back from an activity they had hot towels waiting for us, laundry washed and ironed, and rooms spotless ( Shout out to my girl Porsha!!) Not only that but they provided wine and snacks for every sunset drive as well as to- go breakfast for our very early morning drives. (coffee, yogurt, sandwiches, eggs, water, muffins- you name it, they had it)
Michelle and her husband were extremely flexible with our activities. I would highly recommend speaking to them about which activities to do as they were instrumental in helping plan our time in the Kruger area.
Within Kruger National Park, you must stay on all roads. With Kusu being located just outside the national park, allowed us to go on other game drives and get much closer to the animals. I highly recommend the Manyeleti morning and afternoon game drive.
Each of our guides were awesome. Extremely knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely enjoyable people that were easy to spend a full day around.
All in all- There are a lot of places to stay all over the Kruger area ; However, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in South Africa.

The facility’s, the service level and hospitality mindset were next level. Want a last minute game drive in a private park? No problem. They will even fix a cooler box with a nice lunch and drinks. Want to go out on a game drive to Kruger by yourself no problem, lunch and breakfast to-go is arranged. Want to just chill out a day at the pool, no problem! The bar is always open and lunch can be prepared on the times that you ask. Diners were every day 3 courses, very tasty and upon request could be private or with the group.
No request is to much and everything is done with a smile. Maria and her staff really make you feel at home.
The private houses are really beautiful, clean and offer everything you could possibly want.
Despite the smaller set up (there are only 4 rooms), there is a lot of privacy and it ensures that everyone is catered to his/her own needs. We will definitely come back!

Just know that you are not in a big 5 park, but waking up with giraffes and zebra’s outside your bedroom window was just as astonishing! The drive to Kruger for a self-drive is only 40 mins and it’s the same for the guided tours to Manyeleti (private game reserve)

We spent several nights at the lodge. Our hosts, Maria and Darrell, were warm, graciously, and incredibly accommodating making us feel at home and pampered. It is a small intimate lodge consisting of only a few private chalets and some shared spaces in the main lodge. The facilities were beautifully designed in both private and public spaces taking full advantage of their natural surrounding within the private reserve. There was a separate kosher kitchen with an extremely talented chief who cooperated 100% with our requirements providing gourmet meals. We recommend them highly!

We have stayed for the 6 day package at this location and had a holiday of a lifetime.
They helped arrange a location for my boyfriend to propose offering various options and couldn’t be more helpful with every aspect of the trip.
We felt very safe and relaxed with all guided tours which picked us up and dropped us off back at the lodge where we did various safaris and sight seeing.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful including the owner who was staying there at the time.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough, also the food was delicious.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lodge. The room and lodge were stunningly decorated. The all-inclusive package was perfect, including as much food and drink as you needed. We took a bottle of sparkling wine with us every day on safari and our snacks were the envy of the customers staying at other lodges! We are big spirit drinkers, and confirmed before we arrived that we would be have access to full bar (not just beer and wine). They had a full bar, and even let us mix our own cocktails (I used to bartend so this was fun for me!). Maria even went out to buy more vodka during our stay since we were drinking through her bottle!

The safari company they use was also excellent, with knowledgable guides and fantastic service. We had an absolutely wonderful time at this lodge. We intended on staying three nights, however, we decided to be spontaneous and book an additional fourth night (this involved changing flights and cancelling a different hotel booking so I assure you it was worth it to change!).

We had our final private dinner under the stars as we were the only guests at the lodge (try and see if you can do this!) and my (now) husband actually proposed to me! We have nothing but fond memories of this lodge and the wonderful experiences for those four days. We would go back in a heartbeat. Yes, it's pricey, but it's completely worth it.

What an amazing time at this lodge. Absolute luxury! My husband and I spent 3 nights here and I wish our stay was longer. Everything is just top class; the rooms, interior design, food, drinks, staff! If I could give 6 stars, I would! We had the best game drives we have ever been on. The rangers are just so incredible; friendly and are willing to get you that perfect picture of the animals in the wild.
The food from breakfast through to lunch and ending with dinner was thought out and just simply delicious.
A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful Maria & Jessie for making us feel so welcome and at home and thank you to Maria's wonderful staff. A shout out to the lovely Santa, Portia & their chef Easy!
We will be back! Hopefully one day very soon.

Great experience! It is a beautiful lodge with great staff. From the first minute you feel comfortable and cared of. We booked the 6 night package and everything was organized to the last detail. The food was very good as well as the rooms and the service! Thanks to Sam - the front office manager - and Mumsie who took very good care of us! We would love to come back in a heartbeat!

Amazing atmosphere and staff. They will cater to whatever you need, and the food options were terrific each day. On a hot day, the pool is extremely refreshing. The bar is basically open for whatever drinks you wish. Would absolutely do a return visit.

This was an amazing small resort which caters to your every need. There were only 5 luxurious villas which were very intimate. We loved the food and the bar was nicely stocked. We enjoyed the pool and our private hot tub. The guides were knowledgeable on Safari. The activities were fun. Everyone in our group age 67 to age 9 had a great time. Dominic and Sam were lovely hosts.
