I already come in Diani for 5 years and i had seen Simba apartments so many times from the outside only. I had booked a flight to Keny arriving December 6 and would stay for 3 months. Bad timing. December is busy and crowded and almost all acommodation was already rented out or not available for my long period. So i also wrote an email to Simba to see if they had opportunities for me. And lucky me, i received an email with an offer. The last available apartment. I was happy and booked for the whole period of time this last apartment for 60.000 Ksh per month and because of December for 19 days an additional fee for the rent of 1,500 per day. So the total is 208,500 Ksh. That's almost as expensive as in high class areas like Southern Spain, Sicily or maybe even Monaco. Anyway i made the choice myself so no one to blame for that. Arriving at December 8 at night everything seemed to be prepared for our stay there (our= me and my Kenyan wife), and the first impression at night was ok. The apartment had enough space and seemed to be clean. What directly was seen was that the pool in the almost dark garden didn't had lights on so from the terrace of our apartment we were looking into a black hole. Simba village is directly on the one busy road in Diani and the noicy tuk tuks was not very relaxing to hear. But again i had made my choice so still no one to blame. From day 2 it all started. The promissed wifi was not there. The TV was not available because you needed to pay for that extra. The aparment was so very and extremely hot while all and everything you can open was opened. We went out for a walk and when coming back my wife had to identify herself, not me, a white, but my wife, a black Kenyan woman. The security on that premisses are really racists. Complaining at the office about there attitude towards my wife made me even more angry. The woman for all contacts is called Sissy, a nice Kenyan girl but that is almost all her quality, nice looking. There was a white man hanging on a chair inside the office and with a total uninterested tone of voice and face he told me "we have rules". I asked him if that's so then why haven't you given that to me as a person who rents a place. Then we can see and read the rules and see if something we do wrong. The rules are in your apartment was the answer and there was no appologize or whatever towards my wife and we went away trying to keep up the good mood. The last time my wife needed to identify herself to one of the racist security members was in the early morning of January 1 after we came back from the beach celebrating new year's eve. So still after 3 weeks of staying there they kept harrasing us with this racist behavior. Well i can write a book, a book of complaining about this very bad premisses but i stop. Simba-village, a really once in a lifetime experience. Never again will i stay there, never again i will recommend anyone to stay there. It's a dark whole with bad staff and totally not service minded workers. BAD BAD BAD

I spent many times here. Simba is near shops, near beach but not in front of it. There are studio apartments and two or three rooms apartments. Good security. The clean services are included in the price. A big swimming pool but the garden is not so big. The life is friendly.

If you do not need the services and comfort of an hotel, this is certainly a nice alternative. Offers everything essential, nice pool area and close to the beach. We liked it a lot and will come back. Apartments are property of different owners, which means standards differ significantly. Make sure you get a detailed description prior to booking. Very secure and staff makes a good job in keeping it clean and safe. Thank you all and we are looking forward to seeing you again.

Excellent room facilities with well equipped kitchen. It has a wonderful swimming pool which is accessible even at night. The room was very clean with sufficient beddings and towels. It is next to the main road and also near to shopping and entertainment spots. It's also very peaceful and quiet. The rates are very affordable.
