Been here for 5 days no problems at all back after a day out and all the staff are masked up after an incident in the breakfast room I spoke to the manager who had no answer at all but was backed up by another member of staff who stated that the Greek government had demanded that all staff should wear masks from the 29th Can’t find any references to this I called him a liar to his face his only defence “I cannot lie “ absolute fool If your booked into here stay away until the owners issue a statement Jet 2 are no help either

With regards to the above comment, I would like to ensure you that I do understand your concern that you bring forward to me yesterday evening at the reception. It is normal to feel frustrated when suddenly you see staff members wearing masks allthought they were not wearing before. As I explained to you the reason that members of the staff are wearing musk indoors is not about any possible case of COVID in the hotel. I would like to ensure you and everyone else who reads this review that we take your concern very seriously. Our guest's health and safety are our first priority and for this reason, as I explained to you, we took early precautions by wearing masks indoors for the following days. As we are heading to the high season and due to possible number of cases on the island, we took extra precautions by wearing musk indoors (staff only) for the following days. Please accept my apologies if this sudden decision makes you feel frustrated. It is our aim to act fast in order to avoid any unpleasant situations with regard to our guest's health and safety. Thank you for taking the time to read our response.

Family run, family friendly hotel with amazing staff. We have been visiting Zante for many years and continue to return to this hotel as the all round customer experience is second to none. Our most recent stay was a hang over from before Covid, I had booked the hotel directly, which I would recommend as they include many extra's over and above the package operators - free air conditioning, free safe, free transfers to/from the airport, preferential rates on excursions etc.. So whilst my original holiday had been booked and paid for in 2019, the hotel provided a voucher for the money I had paid in 2019 and allowed me to use this against my recent stay.

I have visited this hotel a few times, which is why I recommended to my friends foe our annual girls holiday. There are good and some not so good points GOOD Spotlessly clean in all areas, rooms cleaned daily with the nicest ladies who cannot do enough for you All rooms are overlooking a pool Pools are also spotlessly clean, you can request a pool towel from reception and can change every two days Food is good and well thought out but more about that in Not So Good, you will always find something you can eat, the salads are delicious Short airport transfer NOT SO GOOD Food…it’s never hot unless you are the first in, the main reason for this is people leave the lids up, but on last couple of days even the chefs followed me opening up what I was shutting 😱 I understand that if it’s pizza or similar condensation can make it soggy , but it wasn’t The pool is extremely quiet, it used to have some background music but there was nothing , a few people we spoke to commented on it , doesn’t need to be blaring out just subtle easy listening music would be great It does miss the animation team, but I would say Ian is very friendly and helpful and a credit to Diana Hotel group Drinks are very weak, I know hey have a Drink Aware policy but they aren’t good I am not a big drinker but the odd alcoholic drink I had you couldn’t tell there was anything in it Air Conditioning , you get a couple of free hours at 5pm but you have to pay 6€ per day if you want it all the time , it’s very hot now out there only to get hotter , think this should be free as you need it WOULD I GO BACK …YES SUMMARY Tsvili is a bustling resort with something for everyone, it’s very clean and the beach is lovely, but recommend sea shoes as it’s a bit pebbly getting in. It’s about a 30 min stroll into resort, taxi is between 6-8€ BIG RECOMMENDATION ….please visit Dennis’s for a drink of his black wine, his hospitality is wonderful as is his black wine , it’s about a 5min walk (left out of the hotel) if you are a red wine drinker you will love it ..he makes it himself and also olive oil which is beautiful , you can buy both to bring home , it’s in sealed plastic bottle and mine travelled home no problem

We arrived at the hotel and was greeted by friendly staff and a lovely cold soft drink. The room we was given was amazing. 2 bedrooms- each with a balcony. Very spacious and clean. We had to pay 27 euros for the safe, another 27 in tax and another 27 for aircon. We went the week before half term and hotel was nice and quiet when we arrived but soon started to fill up towards the end of the week. We never struggled to get a sunbed but found it more tricky towards the end. The room was cleaned every single day by the lovely housekeeper who done a great job. Pool towels are available at reception and are lovely and soft. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the resort centre- just follow one road round and it brings you to all the restaurants and bars. Not far at all. We got taxis into Argassi and Kalamaki on two evenings and both cost 25 euro each way. There was hardly any entertainment in the hotel at all. A quiz and bingo during the day- twice ! The quiz and bingo are held inside the room in the annex. After we done the quiz- we never even tried the bingo. We also seen a snooker tournament one day and that was it. The snooker table also costs 2 euros a go!! We never stayed in the hotel in the evenings so cant comment on the evening entertainment but i doubt there was much of this either. No poolside entertainment at all. Speaker on the bar was playing music during the day but that was it. Previous hotels have had pool games etc but nothing here. The breakfast was awful. Sausages were mini hotdogs, Scrambled egg was like foam, bacon was like rubber and food was cold before you even sat down. We tried it one day and never went back for breakfast after that. We just waited for lunch. Lunch was hit and miss. Very small selection and not many options for kids at all. Breaded chicken nuggets and chips or fish fingers and chips. Sometimes they had pizza on which was rock solid and very very salty. Evening meal was hit and miss to. There was only one evening meal we had which was Gyros that we enjoyed. Every night after that we ate out so be prepared to allow for extra spending money. Food was always cold by the time we sat down. The snack bar selection was the worst i have ever experienced in anywhere i've ever stayed. One day i seen pasta out with no sauce and a square omelette dish that i can only presume was left over from breakfast as it was so crusty and hard. No burgers, hotdogs etc for the kids. Chicken wings were on ONE day which was the only nice thing id seen on the snack bar. Awful selection. There was also a member of staff who just stood at the top of the stairs by the bar in his white shirt and black trousers just watching what people were taking from the snack bar. Didn't see him smile the whole time we were there. He didn't give the best vibe out. The only staff member i could say this about. I cant comment on the afternoon tea as i didn't bother but i did just see some trays with covers on them out on the bar for the afternoon tea selection. I understand that the hotel must try and reuse what food they can for costings etc but the snacks were really bad. I really did expect more than this. The food plays a big part of an all inclusive holiday and this was the biggest let down. Alcoholic drinks were weak. Only had a few as we went out every night. The drinks menu was poor. Just all the usual local drinks and not even a basic cocktail was allowed. The coffee machine was out of order quite a lot due to no milk!? Ice cream selection was just a scoop of strawberry, vanilla or chocolate- no ice lolly's or anything. You also had to pay for bottled water which i found very strange. There wasn't even a bottle left in the fridge on arrival. The fridge was tiny and the freezer section was not even big enough to put a couple of bottles of water in. Quick summary- clean, friendly helpful staff, room was wonderful, food was poor, drinks were poor, entertainment was terrible.

We stayed at the Filoxenia as part of a package holiday and enjoyed every single day. The food, for "mass catering " was exceptional, with a good choice of dishes every day. The menu was varied and there were things for the children to eat, such as chicken nuggets, fish fingers and similar. Octopus was on the menu and my wife persuaded me to try it. (I haven't eaten octopus for many years as my first go was like eating a badly cooked elastic band.) It was delicious, tender, moist. Our favourite dish was the cheese pie. There is a strict policy controlling drinking, which is a welcome introduction especially at a family hotel. As we were there almost at the very start of the season the entertainment was a bit thin on the ground , but posters were appearing saying what was coming. The Greek night was a little disappointing because a couple of the team didn't turn up - so credit to those that did, who did their best! We stayed in the block seperate from the main hotel rooms on the top floor (we were in 319) have a great view of the hillside which is covered in olive trees. Somewhere nearby is a peacock that likes to make himself heard! A special mention for all the staff, who were, without exception, helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Rooms were large and clean, all the staff were amazing and so friendly, I've been learning Greek on dualingo prior to going and the staff were helping me we've been to zante 25 times staying in many different places and hotels but this one was the friendliest with the best friendliest staff we've ever had, from Matoula and Dimitris on reception and Fabio in the restaurant and Spiros,Marios and Nikos at the pool bar they all made our stay special, we would definitely be coming back to see them all along with a few whose names I didn't get .well done everyone xxx many thanks for a wonderful time

My family stayed here for a week in May 2022. I know it's the beginning of the season and it's still quiet but the hotel certainly lacked atmosphere I'll start with the good points- rooms were large and nicely done, they were immaculate and the hotel was very well kept. The staff in general were all really good- all of them had a high level of detail and worked so hard. An absolute credit to the hotel. Food and drink- What we ate we did enjoy however there was a small range in the evenings and less choice for lunch. Maybe 3 main options. The issue with food was the serving temperature- way under the industry standard of 63° and in my opinion ( I am a Head Chef in the UK) not meeting the basic requirements of proper food handling and some of the dishes would have been a risk to health. Food was served in bain Marie's that were heated with hot water and weren't electric to maintain an appropriate and legally required temperatures. Dinner service was at 7pm and it was already cold when service started . A few of the dishes were labelled but the desserts were not. As some with an allergy I found this alarming. When I asked staff for allergen information due to the language barrier they were unable to advise me on the ingredients. The breakfasts were good and a nice touch was you can make your traditional Greek coffee using hot sand. The drinks served at the pool bar were not nice at all and the use of really poor quality alcohol made for a limited choice for drinks. The beer was fine and the peach schnapps but the rest was some of the worst I've experienced. No water in the rooms and you were charged for bottled water at the bar. Rooms- rooms were huge, a nice size and immaculate. No mosquito nets however, and, air conditioning was extra. Entertainment- there was Greek dancing on a Wednesday evening but that was the only organised entertainment we witnessed for the week. A singer was on on the Sunday but we were out for the evening. Pool- quiet, lots of loungers but no towel hire. Beach- free shuttle bus to the beach! Very useful! Tsivili is the nearest town and there are lots of shops bars and restaurants. It's walkable almost but not a suitable walk for families I would go back to the hotel but probably not as an all inclusive guest. I'd probably just stick to b&b.

With regards to your comments about the food, I would like to inform you that on Filoxenia Hotel we are following a fourteen-night menu with Greek and International options, with different choices of hot and cold dishes. The way that the bain maries are heated is with hot water and bellow every single of them there is a hot surface operating with electricity and keep the water in boiling temperature. In every bain marie, there is also a lid to keep the temperature in food area in the right level. However, it is possible sometimes the temperature to drop below the 63° degrees of Celsius but our staff is always aware to keep the temperature on the right level according to the HACCP regulations. Queen sized beds were so comfortable. Bathroom had wet room with lovely shower. Always plenty of hot water. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels. Cleaners wonderful. Food was plentiful, even near the end of service. Always at least a dozen hot dishes to choose from so has to be something nice even for picky eaters. Plenty of sun beds by both pools. Good range of alcoholic drinks served until eleven pm. Entertainment three nights in the week we stayed. Shuttle bus into Tsivili reliable. Many more shops, bars and restaurants than we expected. Taxi 6 euro if you don’t take shuttle. Bus stop opposite into Zante town is unreliable. Taxi 12 euro. Worth a visit for the harbour alone. Would stay here again. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.

This is our 5th time at this hotel and in our opinion it is worth every penny. We was last here in 2018 and was gutted that some of the staff we had so much fun with had moved on however Mario and Spiros was still there and Alan (Arlent) popped back to say hello. Rooms are large and clean and a nice new upgrade to the other bar. We are already looking to book again for next May.
