There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. This place is perfect for people looking to escape and relax. Restaurant is ideally small, pool is always clean (and we usually had it to ourselves), cleaning crew is excellent. rooms are spacious.. nothing but good comments. The beach was non existant when we were there in February 2019, but seeing as no one is ever at the pool, it didn't bother us one bit. we just enjoyed lounging by the pool on our our bungalow deck. We have definitely found ou little piece of heaven to return to. in fact, we have already re-scheduled for march 2020 and cant wait to return. When we wanted a little more action, we would go to Bella Isla, but to be honest, we would always return to Bellarena to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet

Our family stayed for 1 week. The Bellarena section of the hotel is composed of newly built bungalows in a rustic style with individual patios containing a hammock, chairs and an outdoor shower! The former are separated by beautiful tropical gardens and boardwalks. The rocks at the beach make much of it inaccessible when the weather is stormy. There is a free combination of bus and boat that take you to a different beach about 30 minutes away several times during the day. However, the wind was in our favor on about half of the days of our stay and we were able to remain at the hotel beach. This resort was noticeably less populated than other Cuban resorts at the time of year. The food selection was also more limited, however the quality and efficiency of the service were exceptional. Special thank you to Raul, Walfrido, Alvaro, Yuraima, and the other amazing waiters and cooks of the resort.

I have been to Cayo Largo many times. I have stayed on the Bella Isla side as well as the Bellarena. The Bellarena is made up of little cottages but they are lovely. They are spacious, clean and have nice features like double sinks and a double shower. Each has a porch with chairs, a hammock even an outdoor shower. The restaurant is small but personal service. You can also use all the amenities including the big buffet, and the a la carte restaurants on the Bella Isla side. The beach is closer to the Bellarena side. You can have massages on either side and are a great price. The staff are second to none, they are friendly and go out of their way for you. If you are looking for 5 star conditions or gourmet dining... stay home or pay more money and go elsewhere, the rest of use do not want to listen to your complaints! The majority of the guests are repeat and we go because, we love it.

Omg these bungalows are fantastic and private. They are spacious and really clean.Couple of steps away from a great Coffee Latte. The first 3 days there was no beach but it s always a question of timing and winds. The staff is amazing. We had Cary and Lisandra taking care of the room.It was spotless. At the bar and restaurant Nancy,Raul an Alfredo. So much fun.Loved to see them every morning. We went to Bella Isla to the Buffet but found staff a little less engaging but still nice. Food was ok better than our last trip to Cuba.Gotta roll with the flow it s a hit or miss. But always found something good. The days there was no beach we rented an ATV it was fantastic.Got to explore the island. We went to the 3 beaches Sirena my least favorite for me just because it s a long walk to get to the water and sand is up to your ankles. Not recommended for people who have mobility issues. Paraiso was amazing the color of the water just wow.The sand bars heaven and More walkable. My best beach was the empty one Playa Mal Tiempo we were alone. You can rent a chair and umbrella for 2.00 per person per day. This beach is more clothing optional. So if you don t want any tan lines this one is for you. We found lots of sea shells both dead and alive. The live ones we put back in the water. felt good Savin it. We were in bungalow 5045 we had 3 guard dogs all week. Oh before I forget bring Bugg spray and A gallon of Benadryl.I am eaten alive . We will be going back for sure.

This is a small resort with 45 cabins. The cabins are very comfortable, clean and new. We had no issues with air conditioning, lights or water. We got a huge bottle of water every day. The restaurant was clean. While there was limited variety, the food was good and there was plenty. You don’t go to Cuba for fine dining lol. The pool was clean and accessible. Shout out to the masseur, Ansel, who have me an excellent daily poolside foot massage. The cabin, pool and restaurant were within easy walking distance. The bellboys were available with carts to provide transport to the Bella Isla resort if needed. While the beach is quite eroded, many people took bus to playa sirena and were delighted with the beach. There were a lot of repeat vacationers and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Wonderful spot for good old fashion R&R

At the Bellerena there are really only 45 cabins in a clover leaf shape around pool and dining and bar areas. Very close by within easy walking is the Bella Isla resort with more restaurants and pools and the nightly entertainment. The Isla is set up as a regular resort with rooms. When we booked at the Bellerena we did get the same message about rooms but it’s a website misprogram . When you book at the Bellerena you will get the cabin. Confirm your ticket says Bellerena. Have fun!

How early can I get a coffee. I love to drink my coffee and look at ocean or sit on my balcony.
You can go to either restaurant at about 7 am if I remember correctly they were open at that time.
