Exceptional place!! The rooms are very clean and comfortable with views you can only dream off. No photos can justify the real deal! I will definitely rate as a 4 star establishment :)
Lamas and sheep running around give you a true farm feeling and the 2 donkeys come and welcome you personally...so cute!
Ronel and her husband are the nicest people and did everything possible to make our function a huge success!
Only suggestion I have is to add a microwave and some pots and pans in the Lapa kitchen.
Please note that this is a farm outside of Clarens and is not walking distance from town.
Will definitely visit again! Thank you so much!

We had a lovely stay at Dunelm. Our cottage was easily big enough for the four of us and nicely fitted out with everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. It is an easy quick drive to Clarens but is in an awesome scenic setting of its
own. It is a working farm so there were lots of sheep around, which my daughter loved. We went on two longish walks along the available tracks and got to enjoy nature at its best. We saw plenty of game and an old memorial for soldiers who died in the area in 1900, 'For King and Empire'. We would definitely recommend this for families with children ages 6-14 who want to get outdoors in a safe environment, or anybody who just wants to chill out and maybe pop in to Clarens for a look.

Just spent an amazing weekend at Dunelm Guest Farm with some friends, during the Clarens Beer Fest last week. The 2 bedroom chalets ( 4 in total ) are very well equipped and maintained, with en-suite bathrooms in both rooms, and would more than meet the requirements of those seeking a comfortable and relaxed weekend in a beautiful and secure environment. The owners, Juan and Ronel Beukes, were absolutely charming and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Juan took us on amazing tour of the farm in his very efficient Landcruiser, where we got to see some incredible views of the area with the Maluti Mountains providing an imposing backdrop. There is a lot of game on the farm and we saw Eland, Nyala, Oryx, Red Hartebees, Springbok and an amazing, close-up sighting of the farm's resident Secretary Bird amongst others.

The farm is an easy 20 minutes from Clarens on the Fouriesberg road for those who need the food and art gallery experience, with the drive into town offering some of the very best scenery in the area. ( Watch out for the speed humps on the road coming into Clarens! ) We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend the venue for those who want a more natural, country vibe when staying in the Clarens area.

Dun Elm Guest Farm is well worth the stay. Ronel and Juan do an awesome job. The cottages are setup in the right place with the sun rise hitting the house 1st thing in the morning. The hikes are well marked and easy to find your way around. Animals are great to see. Will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Dunelm for the long weekend in September. What a little gem of a place. We stayed in the hideaway room - two sleeper at the top of the farm. The accommodation was newly renovated with beautiful finishes and spotlessly clean. Although we didn't request it, we were pleasantly surprised to find a cot provided for our baby on arrival. Charcoal, firelighters, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and rusks were also supplied and what a lovely touch as we didn't need to go into town to find charcoal for that evening. We enjoyed feeding the lambs bottles and the friendly hospitality. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again for a beautiful, peaceful getaway.

Have just spent our second Christmas at Dunelm Guest Farm (and fourth visit) and are very impressed by the new owners, who catered for a superb breakfast and Christmas lunch. Wonderful place for children, with baby lambs and bokkies - and don't forget your gliders and kites. Units are built and equipped to a very high standard, with wonderful views of the mountains. So peaceful - highly recommended for anyone who wants to get away from it all in comfort.

Views that are just majestic, fresh open spaces and friendly hosts. What more can you want. They have two function halls with catering to suit your needs. Sheep wander the property and there are cattle to add to the atmosphere. Swimming pool, a irrigation dam and good walking complete the facilities. Food is home cooked and wholesome.

Well worth the short drive from Clarens. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Dunelm.

Attended my sisters wedding held at Dunelm in November 2015.

Venue ideal for those who enjoy places off the beaten track. Hosts, Maretha and Stephan de Kock went out of their way to make the occasion a special one.

Accommodation: Self catering units and rooms available in the Guesthouse. We booked out the property and received great reviews from guests.

Great views, lots to do for the outdoorsy type and loads of quiet spots for those looking for solitude.
