We loved staying here. We were pleasantly surprised when we had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Very comfortable and clean. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Loved the pool area, but pick your time. Was much quieter during the week. The restaurant staff were amazing and supplied delicious food to us for a braai at our unit and they even delivered it. We also had excellent service from Karen. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

We visit Kiara every year and love it more each time we are there. Warm water swimming pool and on site restaurant are a huge bonus. The units are beautifully presented and of the finest quality. Clarens is just a stone's throw away as are many other interesting places and activities.

Heaven for kids, paradise for adults/parents. So many things to do. Staff super efficient , nice & helpful. Amazing spa premises , service on a 100 & at affordable prices. When booking treatments pls make sure steam room is a part of your package, You won’t regret it. I already miss having my morning tea at the balcony with bunnies playing,Mountain Views with the sun coming up. So peaceful.

We had a fantastic stay at Kiara Lodge 7-14 July 2023. The facilities are well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. The fireplace in the unit was well appreciated during the cold evenings. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails and beautiful scenery. On Thu 13-Jul, we made a booking at The Melt restaurant for dinner for our party of 6 people. The booking was written in the book for the previous day by mistake, so when we arrived, there was no table available for us since the restaurant was very busy. The team at the restaurant asked us to give them a few minutes to find a solution. Within a few minutes they prepared a table in the wine cellar, this was excellent customer service. I have one suggestion to make the stay even better. The shower in the main bedroom of unit 69A is designed without a door. The glass wall covers less than half of the width of the shower and this wets the floor of the bathroom quite a bit. The tile floor becomes very slippery when wet and requires a cleanup with towels after every shower. It will be good to re-look at the design of the shower, perhaps consider a sliding door. For the price we paid I expected a chalet like those on the website. Unfortunately we were placed in an apartment with people above us. It didn't have a log burner (for which we had bought the logs already In anticipation, it being freezing at night). The gas heater was not sufficient and the gas ran out on the last evening. The apartment also had a few breakages which we mentioned, one being an ugly burn mark on the couch. I felt like our experience would have been a whole lot better if we were placed in one of the other chalets that are advertised. I wish I'd said something on day1. The restaurant is beautiful but 2 out of 4 of the meals we ordered were terrible, such a shame because the venue is lovely. The water slides were only open on the last day and the water was freezing cold in the slides. Kids had a great time, I would recommend it for families if you get the right chalet and not apartment 18C. …

What an amazing place, we stayed here for 3 days . Staff are amazing accommodation is amazing. My wife cut her finger and we went to a Doctor in Clarens for stitches etc but the management team were so good. They helped contact the Doctor. The food is also so good

This is one of the places that I can recommend for Parents with children or the singles or couples that only want to rest. There is more than enough to keep the kids occupied, while the parents can rest and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Our unit for 2 max 4 people was just the right size for the cold winter days, the lovely little wood burner in the living area heats up the whole unit eventually, just make sure you do get dry wood. I would have preferred the lodge to provide at least one bag of wood even if they charged for it. Wood is available at the local shop. The kitchen area feels far too small and crowded when preparing something to eat. Veranda nice and big with a barbeque / braai with some sun during the day. Vehicle parking behind the building should have a proper pathway to the entrance. Getting your luggage to the unit can be a little difficult so make use of the local staff to help if you have to. The restaurant on the premises serves very good food from an ala carte menu with a great variety and at a good price. A braai is available at the restaurant but you have to book early. Staff is very friendly. The only complaint we had was the drone of the generator twice a day, when the lodge was supplying electricity. We did appreciate the fact that we had electricity but when you hear the genny you just get more and more upset with the government. Roads to and from the lodge are not to bad at this stage. The local tourist destination town of Clarens suffers allot because of the electricity. The shops seems to be very dark inside so it's not very conducive to shopping, you can't see all the products or the prices. Restuarant's serve good food and not too pricey. Wine farm 20 Kilometer outside Clarens is worth a visit, some good wines and a short menu.…

Kiara Lodge is well situated for visiting Clarens as well as the Golden Gate National Park. There are plenty of activities to do as well as just relaxing from the stresses of work and the city. The resort is clean and laid out in a manner that affords privacy. The only draw back is that the parking is not adjacent to the Units. It is quite inconvenient to have to carry all ones supplies and luggage up a flight of rickety stairs to the unit, especially if one is older. The restaurant was very obliging in delivering food to the unit.
