Even though the town was filled with merry weekenders, the accommodation at Andes Guest Farm was beyond any expectation!
Our room was comfortable and all the extra luxuries made us feel welcome and relaxed!
Our surroundings were beautiful, the gardens were immaculate and I so appreciated the fresh flowers in our bedroom; the scrumptious rusks and delicious sausage rolls!!
Thank you Marius and Philna!!!! May God Bless your hard work 👏

Attention to detail, highly professional yet extremely homely and welcoming, will stay longer next time. Luxury at its best! Peaceful and truly set in a beautiful garden. The only small negative we have is there are two chalets adjoined, so if you have a noisy neighbour for the duration of your stay, it may not be too good, but otherwise outstanding place and owners are warm and most welcoming.

This accommodation, located just outside Clarens, is truly exceptional. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and considered part of the family. Our experience was so positive that we will undoubtedly choose this establishment for any future visits to Clarens.

We stayed at this property as we were stuck in a traffic jam on the N3 travelling from Durban to Johannesburg Due to poor internet access we booked this property not realising it was not centrally located in the town of Clarens . The property has a luxurious although very dated decor pallet . The gardens are magnificent and they clearly operate mainly as a wedding venue . Although they charge the prices of high end full service boutiques hotels no effort was a made to offer any form of catering or any food service at all which was surprising considering the price tag and location away from any restaurant and shops A weak excuse was made that they were expecting "Hunters " the next day !! I believe this property should advertise their location and services clearly and decide whether they want to be a " wedding venue " or a "hunting lodge " in which case they should not accept bookings from one night high paying guests if they not prepared to offer a food service nor small breakfast picnic meal for early departing guests .

What a wonderful guesthouse! The room was extremely well appointed and thought has been put into providing ultimate comfort. To cater for the winter cold, the room is complete with underfloor heating, fireplace and heater in the bathroom! The lovely patio allows a great view out over the farm and we were served a really fabulous breakfast in the main house! As for the gardens (and general décor) they are an inspiring, visual treat! The guesthouse is very private, with only two rooms and Clarens centre is very close to go and have a meal. At the recommendation of our hostess, we ate at the Highlander and had a very good meal there. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse and the friendly owners and would definitely stay there again.

A stay at Andes is an absolute treat. The rooms are beautiful, and all the little added touches make it an extra special experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food at the café is excellent. We will be back soon!

I stayed at the venue on a previous occasion, and was once again impressed by the amount of effort from the hosts to make one's stay a memorable experience. The farm owner allowed us the opportunity to drive into the game camp, to one of the best sun-downer spots in the eastern Free State. This on it's own is an experience.

This was one of the best places we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in many around the planet. Elegant, spotless, every need seen to. Stunning gardens situated on a working farm surrounded by beautiful landscape but only 5 minutes drive from Clarens. Philna, the owner, goes out of her way to spoil her guests with little extras like drinks on arrival, chocolates in the room, fresh flowers and an absolutely amazing breakfast. We can’t wait to go back!

Awesome facility and fantastic staff. Perfect for a romantic getaway or just a chilled weekend away. The room had everything we needed and the little touches like whispers and cherry in the evening topped off the day
