Such a relaxing and lovely place! Our little apartment was cosy and clean and the landscape was magic. Elena and Enrico cuddle us with tasty and genuine Tuscan recipes, such as “Tagliatelle al Ragú” , that we will never forget! Can’t wait to come back !

We booked at Borgo Dolci Colline in 2017 for a month in advance. Big mistake! My wife and I have serious health issues and cannot walk dangerous paths like the steep and unsecured gravel covered hill at Borgo Dolci Colline. Even the girl helping us slipped and almost fell. In addition, the “street” to this place is a serious axle-breaker; be aware! The entire place had very obviously not experienced a proper cleaning in ages. the kitchen was totally disgusting! The shower came apart as it was not installed properly and had black mould and dirt around shower and toilet - totally gross! Do to the serious health concerns we were not able to stay at this place. When we brought our concerns to the owner, this so called Airbnb "super hostess" started yelling at us. She was very insulted her by pointing out that this was not a good and clean place to stay as they were advertising, and that we wanted our money back. That's when she went from yelling to going ballistic! We informed Airbnb and were told to clean oourselves for a $45 discount. Thank you very much, but no thank you! Finally, Airbnb told us to cancel the reservation in order to get money back. What we didn’t know was that once you cancel, a review cannot be placed on Airbnb. That is why Airbnb has seemingly only positive reviews on their webpage. We lost $1,800 and got only $1,200 back. Fortunately we found a wonderful place just 20 minutes away at Borgo Torale by Lake Trasimeno. Read my review about that place as well!

Response from Parigifrancesca, Proprietario at Borgo Dolci Colline

air bnb has not accepted your request for reimbursement because it has understood that yours were only lies, airbnb is always on the client's side in your case (given the physical problems of his wife) you had to ask for information, before booking but you did not have asked us anything, you booked directly. we would have advised you to stay in a flat position but at the time of your arrival they were all busy . your wife found it difficult to make the road with gravel but it is not our fault. if the customer asks us questions before booking we will answer if suitable or not. for this reason airbnb has not accepted your request for a refund. also it is absolutely not true that on airbnb there are only positive reviews. all the rest on cleaning is your lies because you wanted the money back. we have over 500 reviews on our sites where our focus on cleanliness emerges. air bnb considered your testimony false.

Beautiful surroundings, delicious generous breakfasts, super hosts, stylish and comfy house. We loved every minute. Elena and Enrico made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and some great local tips. The house was very clean and cozy. The swimming pool is luxurious as is the surrounding countryside. Castiglion Fiorentino is a special town with a lovely atmosphere. We had some delicious meals out there recommended by our hosts. Thank you!

Beautiful location in the hills above Castiglion Fiorentino, which is a lovely walled town with lots of good restaurants and bars. The accommodation is cosy, with pretty much everything you need and close to the swimming pool, which was usually empty. The host was very helpful and always available. The optional breakfast was particularity good.

Located in a central spot to easily travel to many great sites. The pool was refreshing. Our room was charming, and well air-conditioned. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking, but utilized the fridge regularly. The view from the patio was stunning. Evenings outside are very romantic. We highly recommend the olive oil tour offered by the owner. The family story is engaging. Lots of great restaurants in nearby towns. And since we were in Italy for a month, we were able to find a laundromat nearby. Loved it all!
