My four sisters and I stayed here 4 nights in May after visiting Florence. We were met at the train station by the charming owners. The Residence is a restored convent that the owner Alfeo takes much deserved pride in. His daughter, Luisella, handles most of the day to day operations. It’s located on a hill above the village in a walled city. The expansive views are breathtaking! The area offers many shops and restaurants. It’s a cute village and easy to walk around. We had two spacious apartments. They were very large, clean, comfortable and so lovely. One had a balcony/patio area off the living room. The small kitchen was adequate for us as we ate most meals out. The bathrooms were large and had good water pressure in the showers. The continental breakfasts was very nice. Alfeo kindly drove us all to nearby Cortona one day because the bus was not on the regular schedule. (He is so kind and charming.) We also reserved thru them a wine tasting experience and a cooking class which they organized for us and drove us to. They were both outstanding excursions and I highly recommend them. We all were so happy with our accommodations and the location! We can’t wait to return! Our many thanks to this lovely family that made our stay so absolutely wonderful. Nancy, Debbie, Sue, Mary and Jodi …
A long time friend of mine was getting married just outside the town in September and organised this hotel for my wife and i plus 2 other families, so we didn't know what to expect other than what we saw on the web site. We where not disappointed, the pictures don't do it justice its a lovely hotel the rooms are huge, quite basic but great nevertheless. the staff (farther and daughter) could not of been more helpful. A great place to stay for exploring Tuscany and if you plan your visit to go when there is a festival in the town the locals are very welcoming. Would i visit again....Yes Please and a big thanks everybody at The Residence Le Santucce for making our stay an enjoyable one.
I cannot say enough good things about this Residence. It use to be a monestary hundreds of years ago. It has been transformed into a beautiful bed and breakfast. Breathtaking views of Tuscany. This is family owned and operated. They are very sweet. We had laundry to do and they gave us a ride to the laundry mat. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The breakfast and Italian coffee is delicious. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms spacious. I look forward to coming back and staying at this residence.
This is a converted convent filled with lovely rooms with character. We spent one night here and thoroughly enjoyed a rather large apartment with a small kitchen, nice separate eating area, the main bedroom with a king size bed and a loft with a second bed and a private bath. Lovely views from all the windows and nice breezes at night with the windows open. I would definitely stay here again when in the area. The little walled town of Castiglion Fiorentino is lovely and close enough to walk through at your leisure.
Absolutely loved this place. Its not your normal hotel vibe. Its a beautfil place. A restored monestary I believe. The family that runs its are just incredible. So friendly. Really makes you feel at home. The city is amazing. I am so happy I found this place. Special shout out to the daughter (ahh i forget her name) but she was just awesome. Thanks so much!!!
