Los Cocos is one of the most chilled relaxed hostels I've stayed in. Right on the beach (which is so clean), stunning sunsets, ocean breeze while laying in a hammock - what else could you want! I don't surf but others were and said it was great. There are a couple of local restaurants and a shop about 10mins walk away. Krystel and Jordan are great hosts and enjoy having a chat with guests over a beer. We would defo go back to Los Cocos (infact we liked it so much we did go back!) Thanks guys!

I loved my time at Los Cocos. Great location on the beach, amazing views, a relaxed vibe and great hosts. Crystal and Jordan are great and make you feel as home as soon as you get there. I enjoyed surfing on the beach and surfboard repair is available at the hostel. The sunset is amazing every night. You can access Leon easily by bus and there is a nice local restaurant and kayak rental near by. I will definitely be back! Thank you guys.

Really nice hostal ideally located, in particular for surfing. Loved the location by the beach, the hamacs outside almost directly on the beach are awesome and there's always a bit of shade with the palm trees. The beach itself is beautiful, clean and all sand. The sunsets were spectacular! Located near bars, restaurants and also close to Leon which is very convenient. Was very clean, cute and attractive space. The room itself was really good .The cleaned bathroom had cold shower, toilet, sink. Super comfortable beds with mosquitos net which was awesome. Staff is nice and helpful. The service from Krystel and Jordan was amazing. Really easy to book stuff with. Restaurant at the end of the road had amazing food and fresh fish. Overall this hostal had really a chilled vibe that I liked a lot. This place is awesome! I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would stay again.…

If you want to go camping but dont have a tent it is a perfect place. If you bring your own tent they have space for it too. Inexpensive and you get what you pay for. A plus is that even the dorm for $8 has breakfast included. My wife our 4 kids and I had a great mini vacation here.

This place has a great location with easy bus links to Leon. If you are all about a sweet surf spot with waves all to yourself at a low price, look no further. The accommodation however is basic. The shower is outdoors, think hosepipe fixed to the wall. The dorm room beds have certainly seen better days, along with their mosquito nets. For the same price there are better hostels in Nicaragua but the unique location makes it the only place in Salines grandes. The beach front has an array of hammocks and chairs for chilling. Just watch out for the sand flies! Also the owner is friendly and welcoming. Board hire is $5 a day. We loved our stay, just don't expect the Hilton.
