My daughter, in her 20s, and I spent 8 nights at Kani in Feb. We had a tremendous holiday. I/we have done very many Club Meds over the past 30 years, both winter/summer sun and ski. I had feared that Kani wouldn't be as Club Med as I'd hoped and might be a bit quiet and boring. It certainly wasn't. I spent all day every day doing activities whilst my daughter played the beach bum by day and partied by night. It was wonderfully hot both day and night (I never needed a cardigan or evening extra layer) and the sun was very strong indeed. We didn't use towels, no need. We didn't wear shoes (flip flops or bare feet only) from arrival to departure. If I return I will pack a rash vest and my own snorkel and mask. The Maldivians are an absolute delight. Yoan and his team really made out holiday extra special. The circus team of Jordan, Abigail, DogDay,Daniel and Rizal were incredible as was Christine the wellness queen. My goodness her classes were the best at any Club we've visited. The Discovery team of Patrice, Tomas, Hassan, the very special Ilhan, Hassanbe, Nooman, Shafaz were incredible and we did activities with them every day as were the snorkelling team of gorgeous Iyad, Tom, Sham, Vishak etc. Don't miss the Mobireef presentation and snorkelling experience as well as the theatre briefing- all done by the fabulous marine biologist Elsa. We'd have liked to have done scuba with Pierre and Sarah who were so lovely. Ika and Berta and the reception team with Bruno were such a help and Sumon and his team in the restaurant who bent over backwards to please us. Thank you all for making our holiday worth every penny and hour of office grind.

My husband and I just returned from the beautiful village of Kani a real Paradise.

I would recommend this club to everyone who is still hesitating to go on holiday because of Covid.

You need to be tested before you enter the club, GO’S and GE’S can’ leave the island and when they do, they have to go in quarantine, so many of them did not see their family for a long time. I never felt safer for a long time than here in Kani.



On trip advisor you can find many beautiful resorts, but we chose Club Med once again because we know that you’ll never be disappointed.

Even if we made a very last-minute booking, Ashley who works at the reception replied very fast on our inquiries.



I had an accident a few months ago and it is still difficult for me to walk. At arrival, Alexandre (the chief of the village) Ibra, Helia, Miriam and Elisa were immediately ready to help me.

Thanks to them I was able to forget about my injury and we enjoyed our stay from the first moment.



Snorkeling in Kani is amazing. we had the chance to see many Mantas just swimming next to us. They have a wonderful sports team with Alba, Jeremy and Germain.



The restaurant with the executive chief Ravin from Mauritius, was the best experience we had in many years.

If I was the “Gault Millau” owner I would rank this restaurant 20/20.

The way they serve the plates individually at the buffet is much nicer, hygienic and there is less spilling.

Thanks to Prakash who leads an amazing restaurant team with the smiling GO’S and GE’S like “shauf”we had always a nice table with our feet in the white sand.

Tables were always dressed inside as outside even so guests could choose to eat wherever they prefer.



We enjoyed the ‘Spectacle’ with all the talented Go’s like “Sixtine” from the circus team.

I am still impressed by the artists working for Club Med.

There was a great ambiance and even when dancing with their mask on you saw them smiling.

Afterwards It was always difficult to return to the room because we had so much fun at the Bar with Sharif, Valentine, Ben, Ali and so many others.



A special thanks goes to Ibra and Germain for making this stay even more unforgettable because amazing moments are there to make new friends.

Rishard, Ripon and Kawser were the amazing bartenders. They were very friendly and always remembered our drink orders. They were so kind and attentive and always made amazing drinks!

Eliza was the GO to greet us and check us into the resort. She was very tentative and came to talk to me and my fiancé at all the nightly parties.

Jerome is the manager of the Manta area ( over water villas) of the resort. He was so friendly and his hospitality was amazing.

Sumon was the supervisor of the main eating area. He always knew our preferred table and always remembered our drinks of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Vishark, Sid, Iru and Sham worked as the lifeguards, performers and snorkeling instructors. they were so fun to hangout with at the nightly parties and over all kind and hilarious men.

Manaaf, Balil and Hasaan worked in the excursion part of the hotel they took us out on an amazing snorkeling and fishing trip!

Katrina and Rob - amazing GO and manager who helped my now fiancè coordinate his proposal to me at this resort during our trip! it was so beautiful!!

Damien, Warren and Ravin were the amazing chefs who were so hospital and even prepared the fish for us we caught.

Geoff was the chief of the resort and such an amazing and fun person

Sean was the amazing restaurant manager who was also very tentative and made sure we were always happy and taken care of

Jonathan was also another manager who was also very hospital and friendly the entire trip.

I’m so sorry to forget his name, but the manager who was in charge of house keeping was also wonderful, tentative and so kind. Always making sure our rooms were clean and that we were happy.

Thank you to all the staff who made our vacation unforgettable. we will return because all of you!

This is our second visit to Kani and WOW, it was just as good if not better than before. We visited back in 2018 and were blown away by it then and it was also our first experience with Club Med. I dreamed one day we could return, and we were lucky enough to do so this year. Everything about it was perfect.

We booked a beachfront Superior Room for the majority of our stay however treated ourselves and upgraded to a family water villa for our last few nights. Wow, what luxury and it felt like a completely different holiday. If I’m lucky enough to visit again one day, I would definitely book to stay in one for the whole duration.
The manager of the island Geoffrey was a joy and always checked to make sure everything was well with everyone but without being overpowering. The staff (GO's) really do make it and go above and beyond in looking after you. All of the staff we dealt with were fabulous and couldn't do enough for you, they were so polite, friendly and professional. A special thanks to Ripon one of the bar staff, who was so friendly, always had a chat with us and made sure we always had a cold drink. Islam who tended to our first room, it was spotlessly clean and always clean after we retuned from breakfast and one day he had left such beautiful art work on the bed, such a lovely touch. I loved Emily’s aqua aerobic sessions daily, she was so friendly and fun.

The food was spectacular again. You always know it will be as being French owned, the French are infamous for their high standards of food and it certainly did not disappoint. Plenty of choice, freshly made dishes right in front of you and the best quality ingredients. I loved the fact that this year (weather permitting) you could sit out on the beach every night for dinner, something which was only available on a few evenings when we visited in 2018. White night has to be my all time favourite evening, just stunning and the food was amazing. If I was going to be really picky, my only negative feedback would be that if due to the bad weather it wasn’t feasible to sit outside, the restaurant got noisy and busy and it didn’t feel like a relaxing environment but fortunately this only happened twice so wasn’t a problem.

The whole vibe of this paradise island is perfect and you can have peace and quiet if you want it but get involved in the many activities if you fancy doing so without being hassled to do so. Even though it was the rainy season and we had a little bit of rain, it moved on quickly and certainly did not spoil the holiday. It’s a perfect temperature if you don’t like it too hot and so comfortable in the evenings without the need to cover up.

We were certainly sad to leave and hope that one day we will be fortunate to visit again.

We spent 6 days in Kani and had the most amazing holiday. When you step off the speedboat, you are in paradise. We were greeted with a spectacular sunset and friendly GO's who made us feel very special and welcome. The island is beautiful with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. The GO team are awesome. A special mention to Vernon, Rob, Keira, Veriro, Miao, Mua and Shoaib who joined us during meal times and were so friendly. Prakash and the chefs (Siva, Lidin, Luljin, Prasad) who prepared amazing food and catered so enthusiastically to our needs. Arina, Simona for the excellent service - warm smiles and cold drinks. From the crazy games to the water sports (Ali and Sid), the evening shows and lively parties (DJ Prince) each night. A special thank you to Kliven (teens club) - our daughter had an amazing time making new friends and wonderful memories. Thomas and FaFa (kids club) where my son had so much fun. Our compliments to Alex, Chef de Village for a very well managed resort. It was such an amazing experience that there were tears when leaving. Thank you Club Med Kani for the most memorable vacation ever!

After a challenging 2020, we were hoping for a complete change of scene and relaxation and found that we could travel to Maldives from our home base. After looking at a bewildering variety of options, we opted for Club Med Kani - and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. What made it so special, setting aside the spectacular location and top class amenities, both in the Manta 5 Trident space and in our Deluxe room for the second half of the stay, is the truly exceptional staff. From Axel, the Chef de Village, all the way down to the cleaners who sweep the beach in the morning, everyone contributed to make our stay unforgettable with their smiles and good humor. Be it solving potentially big problems (such as extending one of our bookings to cater to Covid restrictions) or anticipating small needs (our waiters Reshad at Manta Bar and Anais at beach bar would bring our favorite sundowners even before we ordered them!), the staff at Club Med is just exceptional. Special kudos to Jonathan, Sean & the amazing Exec Chef and his team, we ate amazingly throughout (including our fastidious teenager); to the fabulous Jerome, Manta manager, Keran from Yoga and Meditation, Jack, Julie, Mimi & David from reception, Étienne and the whole team at Euro Dive Center who got US Open Water 18 m certified in 10 days and Kiera, whose unlimited energy made Aquagym so much fun! Thanks a million to Alex and all of you, you gave us such a gift for a happy 2021. All the best to all.

My family and I traveled to Club Med Kani all the way from California for 13 days.
We have traveled to many countries but it is easy to say that visiting the Maldives for the first time was the best trip we have ever been on.
Our rooms were in the Manta 5 Trident (Exclusive Collection) part of the resort and right away the room and the services exceeded all expectations. The G.O.s and Supervisors who worked in the Manta team attended to all of my families needs and were beyond kind and friendly, to name a few: Helia, Miriam, Carolane, Elisa, Ivanna, Sobah and Jerome... Thank you for everything.
As for the activities, Kani offers so many options for everyone including Snorkeling, Sailiing, Kayaking and more. My family did a lot of snorkeling, sometimes twice a day. The water is so beautiful and there are many fish and animals to see but over anything the Snorkeling team was absolutley incredible. A special thank you to Germain, Rayaan, Mossey, Sham, Erika, Jeremy and Vishak. Every single day they were able put the biggest smile on my face and were beyond knowledgable, fun and helpful when snorkeling and when I saw them throughout the resort.
The food is incredible all throughout the day with a huge variety and with a bar open throughout the day and into the night. Thank you Anaïs, Shereif, Prince, Prakash, Didi, Shauf, Louriane, Chef Ravin, Sean and Jonathan for all that you do.
During the day, even when walking through the resort, you meet a lot of G.Os and G.E.s, all of which are beyond kind, fun, and absolutely incredible people who just want to help you make the most of your vacation in Kani. Lastly Thank you to Alex, Rob, Tal, Vishaal, Miggy, Lena, Valentine, and Diana.
From the moment we arrived, it was the most warm welcome to the Maldives, and my family and I are so grateful. We cannot wait to return.
If you are looking for the best vacation in paradise, we highly recommend Club Med Kani :)

From the moment you arrive at the jetty and see the GO team welcoming you to the moment you depart you feel what we can only be described as the Club Med Kani Vibe! The energy and the positivity to everyone on the GO team knowing your name, they go above and beyond to ensure you want for and worry about nothing. The entire time you’re there you are just happy! The teen club for my sons was amazing! They were well taken care of and did it all, from sailing to trapeze to meeting new friends from all over the world, which gave the adults a little break now and then to soak in the sun! When it comes to the food you can’t keep up. There are so many options throughout the day and it's all 4 or 5-star quality. From kids basics to Italian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese to local dishes, and more. The deserts.... we had one meal of just deserts...cause we can! Beverages are aplenty; teas, coffees, juices, sodas, and their infamous mocktails (try the dolphin!) For the adult beverages the local brands and the likes of Carlsberg, Gordon's gin, J&B whiskey, etc…are included in the package along with red, white, rose and sparkling wines. Top shelf is available but it's not cheap so plan accordingly. We stayed in the overwater suites, they are a little bit dated but still very nice, clean and has everything you want: air conditioning (or just the fans if want to take in the fresh sea air) big king size bed, walk-in closet, huge bathroom with his and her sinks, shower, and bathtub with a view. Speaking of views of the overwater suites, from the balcony to the private jetty that you can swim off of is unparalleled. Every night the GO team put on unbelievable shows, not your cheesy barnyard acts but impressive acrobatics and digital shows, to go along with the themed evenings with parties and dancing that go long into the night. Check your app the week before you go and it's all laid out there for you to be ready. There's live music throughout the day at various places, make sure you have a few requests ready, and if it’s not known they’ll learn it. With all that is going on with the amazing excursions, entertainment, sports, and so on there is still time to do nothing and just enjoy the beauty of the Maldives. I have never been on a Club Med holiday but thanks to the management and GO team at Club Med Kani I’ll only be going on Club Med holidays, the problem is Club Med Kani have set the bar so high I hope the others can meet expectations. Thank you for making this holiday beyond what we expected and for the memories my family and I will treasure forever.

Our family of four spent a week at Club Med Kani. All our expectations were exceeded in every way. The beauty of the Maldives is unrivalled. The level of service at this resort was spectacular.

Geoff, Rob, Ashley and Jonathan were all amazing.

The chef team led by Chef Ravin were always willing to go the extra mile and cater to any specific needs.

The excursion desk was always helpful especially Bilaal. We did the lobster picnic, turtle reef snorkelling, jet skis and parasailing which were all amazing experiences. Special mention to Manav (Bilals twin) who made my first snorkelling experience truly memorable and Nihaan who was very knowledgable.

The waiters at the pool bars were all great but special mention to Ripon who always served with a smile no matter the time of day.

The entertainment team were great led by Dayna and we enjoyed the shows and parties. Keira from the circus team was always fun to chat to.

We initially had the interconnecting rooms which are very basic which is fine since you do not spend much time in the room. We opted to upgrade to the deluxe rooms which were beautiful and spent one night in the overwater villas which are stunning. It’s important to note that children under eight are not allowed in the overwater villas.

We were all sad to leave and would gladly go back to visit again.

The set up is great
The GO team is very welcoming, very engaged, always available, kind and smiling all the time.
Which overall creates a magical moment: magical place with magical team.
The dive center is great, dive-masters are very good, gears are well-maintained and sanitized after each and every dive.

We booked our transfer to Kani via clubmed itself. You can email them to ask for transfer or if you want there are companies that provide transfers. But i would go with the one by clubmed itself because it is easier. Not sure if there is a cheaper option.

I haven’t really seen Kitesurfers in the Maldives, but August is perfect for classical surfing.

A bit of jealous for you! It will take you around 5-10 min to the break, and then you’ll have to paddle (be careful, there are a lot of see urchins). If I were you, I’d book surf package in advance, it’s cheap online, and you’ll have a boat to go to every surf spot you want to!
