The lodge offers 8 high-standard tented en-suite chalets each overlooking the lake. The island’s coastline is made up of deep and shallow reefs that support a dazzling array of marine life. This diversity of habitat makes the Marelli Islands home to a wide range of plant and wildlife species. Several kinds of unique and colorful cichlid fish occur exclusively around these islands. The islands are also rich with bird life, with over 300 spices represented.

I was here on a family trip and I must say, it was an incredible week. The snorkeling is mesmerising, the water sports so much fun, the food phenomenal and the staff were particularly wonderful. I couldn’t believe how friendly and accommodating every one was. 10/10 recommend

Thank you so much for this wonderful review Erika & Trevor! You were such a delight to host. You definitely experienced the island to the fullest, ensuring all trails and activities were covered. Definitely great suggestions which have come up before. Unfortunately we're unable to build a jetty for various reasons but largely due to the lake conditions on the mainland - we've been looking into various options with out much headway yet. However, the electricity is one we're currently dealing with.. we do now have fans for rooms which run on the generator, but we are trialing various solar systems for the lights and fans to be powered throughout the night. It's a step by step process but underway :) We hope you will be back someday and thank you for your feedback, much appreciated!

This is wonderful vacation location. The accommodations are beautiful, the staff is very helpful and knowledgable and the food was amazing. The chef, Hueston, came to our table after every meal before feedback. His beef steak literally melted in our mouths.

Excellent weekend with really good food , fab setting, great staff and well managed. Good value for money - will be even better with some TLC in the chalets - ours was feeling a bit tired. As the token buddha even I loved doing yoga by the pool at sunset - a special treat and

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! You definitely added to the fun and we hope you'll be joining the next retreat :) (dates still tbc). All advice and feedback much appreciated and we have plans for a good revamp in the maintenance period when the lodge closes for a month (11 Jan - 14 Feb) but are also working on some more immediate touch ups. Looking forward to your next visit!

Sorry that we did not respond to this! We hope you had a great stay last year and that you will have future work trips to Malawi. For future guests who come across this question: we do have a Skyband Hotspot. Wifi vouchers are available for purchase at the bar and the signal is reasonably good, so you can stay connected when you visit us :)
