Sani Mountain Lodge is high up In the Lesotho mountains and boasts the highest pub in Africa. I stayed two nights in a chalet and the customer service was excellent and very personalized. It was freezing cold on arrival but I found a fire going in my room and a complimentary jug of sherry to warm me up. The views from the pub are to die for and the bar and restaurant very adequate. The fresh trout in particular was very good. The lodge organized a guide to lead me to the highest mountain in Southern Africa.. a grueling 33 km hike to/fro. Despite the isolated location this lodge gives 5 star service.. a must visit for an experience of a lifetime
Traveled through Lesotho. Slept 1 night at Sani Mountain Lodge. Rondavel very well equiped. Always cold there --take warm clothes. Food was excellent. Amazing view of Sani Pass from the deck. Nice place to experiance for 1 night.
Brilliant over night stop for a hike up hodgsons peak. we had dinner in the pub which was great and a few drinks before sleeping in the backpackers. we had a great time and would certainly like to go back one day soon to do it again.
Not many options for you if you want to stay at Sani Pass, but the management here are very inflexible when it comes to accommodating guests and switching dates. Their rates are obscene, and will not permit a change to your booking after 30-days, so we had to pay extra. Terrible service for any kind of hotel. I would recommend not staying the night here, just come for a visit as a day trip. The road is a fun drive, the views are nice. Just don't waste your money on the accommodation. It's cold and windy at the top. Yurts don't insulate very well.
Please be aware that on site management are not interested in the opinion of guests or their expectations. I discussed matters that was not acceptable, and management just shrugged it off. They are not interested in your needs.
