We got stranded with car trouble on the high way outside Citrusdal, and after some googling found this little b&b where the tow truck dropped us off. Sophia and Neels give you the feeling as if you're just staying over with family, they're very welcoming and helpful. The accomodation was just what we needed for the night after a stressful day, and breakfast the next day was fantastic. A great stop over for people on their way to Namibia or anywhere else on a roas trip.

Sophia and Neels' service was at all times helpful and amiable, friendly and accommodating, and I would very much like to express my appreciation for that. The two-bed annexe room was functional, with a very pleasant garden outside.

We stayed here for a night on the way from Springbok to Cape Town. It's run by this very sweet couple Sophie & Neel. They were extremely helpful & friendly ... and made us feel right at home. We didn't have a reservation: we were going to reach quite late at night. Yet they stayed up for us, gave us directions to their place & warmly welcomed us when we reached. Their home is located on a quiet street. It's very charming, with a garden in the back. Pecan nuts, lemons, oranges all growing right around us in the garden!!! The orange blossoms gave this mild sweet smell at night!!! Neel plucked some oranges & gave us freshly sqeezed juice from them for breakfast :) Awesome! Cons: A small glitch was that the water in the shower would run cold after just 10 minutes or so. Though I'm sure they would have solved it at once had we remembered to tell them about it. Pros: The room was nice & cosy ... with good heating. Very clean. Secure parking. Sophie & Neel are very hospitable & warm. Highly recommended. (A small tip: don't miss having as many citrus fruits as you can when in Citrusdal. They're amazing. The fuel pump outside Citrusdal and a few shops along the highway sell fresh oranges & lemons)
