I made a booking via booking.com and mentioned that i will check in between 8-9 pm i arrived at 8:30 nd the owner was very rude when checking in she said it was late and she wanted to sleep, and when upon checking in i said will have breakfast at 9 am since check out is 10 am but 8:58 she was knocking on my door telling me that i should hurry up as she wants to close the kitchen. The rooms needs a lot of revamp, WIFI was not working, and the breakfast for that morning was a disappointing😔
The quality of our room is terrible. Broken floor tiles, dripping tap, broken rail in the bathroom and the light in the bathroom doesn't work, cracked glass on the bedside table. The linen is old and tired. Cherrie on a very sad cake is total zipzero wifi, which sadly was the reason we chose this establishment. Cannot wait to leave first thing tomorrow morning. Very very disappointed.
Overnight stop on the way to the Kruger Park. Room was spacious but dark and in need of refurbishment....extra lighting, etc. No coat hangers in cupboard, no top sheet on bed just a duvet. Outside area also in need of maintenance, loose, cracked tiles on walkway to room. Free bottle of wine plus nibbles in the room. Breakfast good & plentiful, served by friendly staff. Location is convenient for both the town and entry to Kruger.
I stayed at lalamo for a good two nights thut I enjoyed, the wi-fi was on point, the breakfast superb, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The water was always hot unlike hotels I wont name in the area.
If your a bit of a twitcher and your looking for somewhere to stay before you go into the Kruger Park, Lalamo guest house is ideal. With a large virety of birds in the grounds we notched up over a dozen species in a day including Bulbul, Glossy Sterling, Hoopoe and their own resident weaver birds. Lalamo guest house is only 1.4k from the airport with colonial feel accommodation ideally situated to enter the Park.
