Nice and clean but quite basic. The price was very high compared for what you get. 1000 ZAR for the room. Brakfast cost 75 ZAR extra per person. We never tried the breakfast , there were cooking facilities in the room.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you think the unit you had was overpriced. On your arrival you were offered three different prices, R400 pppn, R450pppn and first floor with sea-view @ R500 per person per night. You choose to go upstairs and this is why I was surprised to read your comment. The ground floor rooms are...

Stayed only one night. Didn't sleep well. The furniture, carpet etc was very old and although the windows were open, there was a stale smell. Can't believe no effort has been made since the sixties to upgrade the bathroom or the furniture. Nice size bedroom but the TV was too small and at other end of room. Shower pressure was...

My dad and I really enjoyed our stay, and we will be back soon! We found the view of our room very nice, looking at the sea from our room. The hostess went out of her way to accommodate the obstacle my dad had with the Breakfast location.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. It was such a pleasure hosting you and your father and to see the joy he had coming back to Witsand for a visit. We wish you all the best in the future.

We spent 2 nights in the garden cottage. The owner/operator was very accommodation and friendly. Personally i found the cottage to be very dated and 1960's, small tiny tv and old style furniture. my biggest concern was the bathroom, not in good condition, the toilet seat is damaged and frankly very bad underneath. for the rest things worked but most...

We stayed in the Garden Cottage, which is very private, with its own parking and a pleasant garden in which there was a profusion of birds. It also had its own braai area. The accommodation was decent and spacious and the hostess was helpful and friendly without being effusive, which we like. I can note though that the pedestal fan...

This inn was clean and cozy. The proprietors are friendly, helpful, and make a mean breakfast. Very close to the beach. The beds in my room were particularly soft and comfortable. Easy parking. We will stay again for sure.

It was a lovely stay - it would have been nice if there was either a fan on roof fans in the rooms since it was very hot - especially in the front portion where sun came in. There is also no place to dry wet beech towels.

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I have taken note of your suggestions. I am sorry you did not ask about where to hang your beach towels. We have a large area near the main braai area where guests can hang their beach towels and any washing they might do themselves. I wish...

We stayed at the beautiful Whale watchers Inn and found the owners warm and very willing to meet our every need. I would definitely go back. The room was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. It is a very short distance from the beach.

Although there is no sea view the beach is just a few steps away. The accommodation is good and comfortable, the unit that we had has a private braai area which was a plus for us. If you plan for self catering please carry your own items as the shops in the area are do not have a variety of...

Thank you for your positive review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. I would certainly endorse your suggestion that should future guests be self-catering, they should bring their own items or even stop over at the Spar in Heidelberg as the shops is Witsand have only the basics.
