The kids safe swimming beach is at our lodge. Fishing is excellent, boat charter catches fish on every launch, shore fishing is good at most times of the year, especially from May to July. During this time Kingfish are awaiting your line.We are ± 800km from Pretoria/Johannesburg, 380km from the Lebombo border (Komatipoort) – 5 hours drive and 280km from Maputo – 4 hours drive. Highly recommend Zona Braza for a family holiday or even halfway travel sleep-over. Accommodation has everything you need for self-catering, spectacular ocean views, low tide is perfect for kids swimming & rock-pool exploring. Enjoyed every meal at the restaurant, they've outdone themselves with the overall decor (real holiday vibe), little lola (craft) shop for your Moz souvenirs and most of all best and friendliest staff! We were absolutely stunned with this gem of a place, only regret is that we have not been there sooner. Next holiday willl definitely be booked at Zona Braza again.

Hello . I want to say that this hotel is beautiful alil old but beautiful. I loved the rooms and the view most wonderful place I have ever been to. Love the food , you should improve on the breakfast and make it buffet. Very nice hotel. Your workers at the restaurant very nice people but I think they are abit to friendly and end but forgetting that their supposed to be working and not making fun o a client or saying things that will offend the client. You must not forget what you are their for, so basically I was offended by one of your workers at the hotel at the restaurant he kept pushing me to the edge and speaking to me unprofessionally. You must train your team so that they don’t think that they should speak anyhow they feel like to a client, we are not family . But other than that everything was okay. Except I would wake up and think this guys gonna say something stupid again . You need to improve on your stuff. De a eles formação do atendimento ao client . Para melhorar .

What a fabulous place - perfect little chalets far apart enough to provide privacy and peace, wonderful walks on the beach, lovely swimming in front of the hotel, the most amazing and attentive waiters and staff, excellent food if you don’t feel like self catering and lovely owners who are on hand to assist you if you need anything. This place is ideal for families or a romantic getaway for couples and is the best beach holiday you can imagine - relaxing, peaceful, beautiful and simple

We had to spend the night at Zona Braza before continuing on to Farol da Barra. Zona Braza was fabulous. The couple that run the place are super accommodating. Our room (3) had such a beautiful view of the sea. The staff were so friendly. The only draw back was that there was quite a bit of litter on the beach! Otherwise lovely place to stay!

Absolutely wonderful and worth the visit. Basically on the beach, you have a small walk using stairs down to the beach. They put out umbrellas and beach chairs in the morning so if you early you can get a nice spot in the morning. Basically on the beach they have a beach bar with excellent service. There are three small swimming pools each on its own deck with umbrellas and chairs. The restaurant is absolutely excellent with excellent service and excellent food. Wifi is available at the restaurant area only. The gravel road to Zona Braza is about 10km once you take the turnoff from the tar road and a 4x4 is not required to get to the lodge. We stayed in the Vitamin Sea Unit, two separate rooms with a double bed, shower, toilet and fan, in between the units is the Kitchen, table and chairs and braai area. It is advisable to ensure you have everything you require for your self catering needs. Xai Xai which is close by do have a Shoprite etc. but this town becomes extremely busy and a trip to the shops might easily result in a half day trip. This was our second visit and we enjoyed every second and cant complain and will recommend this lodge to anyone. Traveling in Mozambique can be quite long as you can only drive 60 and 80km/h in most cases, people drive recklessly and the drive can take quite long. For example upon our return from the lodge to the Lebombo border it was about 300km and we drove 7.5 hours as we went through Maputo, take note the ring road is almost complete which means you will no longer have to drive through Maputo, driving through Maputo on our return delayed us with 2.5 hours. Also make sure you plan your trip properly because some days during December the Lebombo border can be very very busy which may lead to hours delays. Traveling in Mozambique requires a lot of patience but once you get to the lodge everything will be worth it.
