Detailed Reviews
VIP Executive is well appointed and is a great infrastructure. Always had a positive experience until my last stay in December 2019.
The room required simple maintenance and informing reception or the concierge did not help. I was met with total apathy and disinterest!!
I had a board meeting via conference call. The internet was not going and informed reception and concierge again two hours before the meeting. They told me they were calling maintenance (never arrived). Half an hour late into the meeting I call again and the IT prof comes in and fixes the problem. He informed me that nobody had told him that I required the internet reset!!???
The standard of service is going down hill very quickly.

The staff is friendly, nice and clean rooms, aircon works.
But there is no Koffee in the rooms, the water is either cooking, or cold.
But maybe for Africa thisnia not bad.
3 starts.
If the focus on the small stuff, maybe they will became VIP enough.

If you are ready to wait for a plate of ordinary food for more than two hours, choose this place. Unacceptable service, arriving around 7:45 pm and placed food orders for dinner before we even dropped off the luggage in the room, to come back before 8 pm and by 10 pm we still never received the food? After numerous attempts to call for a manager… I was told that the ‘manager’ doesn’t pick up the phone. This happened while 3 people from the reception were laughing. Never ever will go back to that place.

I was staying at the hotel on a work mission.
The hotel's services are wonderful, from the gym to the "unlimited" breakfast.
The rooms are very spacious and organized, with an exceptional landscape!
I would recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy a vacation, even on a work mission (but you enjoy it less due to the rush of everyday life)

How great to save at a place where there are friendly staff, nice meals and a clean safe room.
Pool looked great but weather was a bit cool - probably next year .
Great also that the staff were able to act as a translator
Thanks guys for looking after me.

Overly, if you are in Tete, VIP executive offers the most comfortable place to stay. There are some points that still require attention by the hotel, for example, more english speaking hotel staff (this is after all an international hotel). It can get pretty frustrating to continuously have to use sign language when asking for basic things such as an extra towel or pillow. The hotel is otherwise sufficiently clean and well maintained. Wifi at the hotel can be notoriously unreliable and parking is very limited, the food was not the best (frankly if I never ate goat meat again for as long as I live it would be too soon). The location is good if you are on business, conveniently ocated near the major bank outlets, the major highway and only a few minute drive to supermarkets

First time at this very new hotel - would be my selection for next visit to Tete.
Rooms are very good. Bed comfortable and clean.
Situated one road width back from the Zambesi and only about 400 metres from the bridge, the view from the balcony bar in the evening is exceptional and makes a great place to enjoy an icy cold beer.
Buffet breakfast was reasonable but not a record setter.
Similarly for the main restaurant meals.
Staff were friendly and helpful but could benefit from a bit more training.
All-in-all .... very good.
