Detailed Reviews
Se come muy bien en este hotel, sirven varios platos desde comidas elaboradas, hasta comidas rápidas. Es un lugar súper tranquilo. El precio es accesible y la gente que atiende habla portugués, ingles y algo de español. Se

I have never written a review like this before. I really want to give this place 5 stars for a variety of reasons, but because of the ownership's lack of interest in the property, or lack of business knowledge, it is a 2 or 3 star hotel. The staff, (manager, housekeeping, cooks/servers and security guards) are doing the absolute best that they can under very difficult circumstances. I hope you will take time to read this entire review, because I want more people to stay at Hotel Natura Tete and then maybe the place can become what it was originally built to be. Lets start with the rooms. When originally built, the duplex cabins scattered about the complex must have been really nice, because the cabins that have actually been completed (there are several on the property that have been sitting only half complete for quite some time) are still very comfortable and still in pretty good repair. The furnishings are nice. Giant beds that are very comfortable. Big bathroom with running hot water, and tiled walk-in shower. Air conditioned, which keeps the mosquitoes away. Free wifi in your room if you ask for it. Daily housekeeping does a great job refreshing your room. The restaurant. (Reception is in the restaurant) Very nice facility in the center of the property, and the food was absolutely delicious. Complimentary breakfast cooked to order. A great chef/cook prepared our evening meals exactly as we requested, including amazing steaks cooked to perfection. Every food request was met. Servers struggled a bit, only because I don't speak Portuguese and they don't speak English. My problem, not theirs. The manager, Francesca, (speaks good English) bent over backwards to accommodate our every request and even our suggestions. If the owner would spend a little money to spruce up the grounds, and the buildings and even complete the unfinished cabins, this could easily become a 4 star hotel. How about a decent signboard at the entrance so passersby might actually know there is a hotel here. It sits well off the highway, which is great, because it is very quiet and with proper landscaping, even in the winter time, it would be a beautiful place. Big beautiful outdoor swimming pool that was in fact being refurbished while we were there for a week. Would loved to have hung out by the pool in the afternoon. I guess what I would really like to see, since discovering this hotel, would be for the owner to invest a little so that one might think he/she actually plans to keep it running. I'd be happy if it remains a 3 star hotel (that makes it more economical for me), and I will probably be a regular here on my trips to Tete because of the staff, the food and the price. It is just a shame the owner doesn't seem to have any real interest in owning and operating a hotel.

I travel a lot to Tete for business. The hotels are expensive, the low costs hotels are not safe.
So, I found Natura, still expensive, but cheaper than others.
They have some independent littles houses spread over a field. Each house has a bathroom, a bed, television and a safer. There is a main house where you find the restaurant and front-desk.
The rooms are large, the bed incredibly big, but the mattress seems to be used since Jesus was born. You start sleeping flat and wake up in the night inside a hole! Terrible.
The bathroom is simple, clean, but the floor is made stone with high porosity. It is the right material regarding cleannesses, must have sandals.
The houses are make of wood. They are nice, however.... it is a place in the middle of nowhere. There are insects. They go into the the wood and you must probably will find them in your bed or over your body after a while.
The “restaurant” is in the main house. Simple, and ok, but the price... they charge extremely high very simple things done with ordinary stuffs. But this the point: YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! the is no other option. If you have a car, you can drive 10 minutes to fins something, but for those not aware of the city, forget it. You are sentenced to eat what they have for you, paying a very high price for it.
Summarizing, fair for one night only, if you come by car, arriving late and leaving very early.
If you will stay two or more nights, or looking for something with restaurant, close to the civilization, it is not your option. They your boss to spend a bit more to give you comfort to perform better.
