Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Tete Ferry Sun on our way down to Zim, just before Christmas, and on the way back, a week later. Truly a wonderful experience, both times! The rooms are modern with comfortable beds and nice and clean. Very good bathroom facilities, as well. The best part was entering the villa with all the aircons working properly, this is a major plus for Tete. Good selection of TV channels and the wifi worked very well, too. The food was good and well prepared and presented with very good service. Well stocked bar, as well. All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back!

+1
I just loved this hotel, wooden cabins spread across the Zambezi River offering picturesque views. Check in was smooth and efficient and a golf cart took my room. I had one bedroom studio with a river view. The room was huge and modern. It had an open plan lounge, mini kitchen (fully stocked) and the bedroom. The bed was king sized and very comfy, the bedding was subpar in terms of quality. The bathroom was also big, clean and well stocked. The highlight was the restaurant, the food was phenomenal! All in all I highly recommend the Tete Ferry Sun

We came for dinner with work colleagues, and then saw that there was a buffet on offer (a recent introduction, and apparently only available during the week - so we were fortunate with our timing)! There were so dishes to choose from - all delicious. It was great to find so many healthy alternatives (a salad bar, and an array of vegetarian options even). And better yet - no need to wait to be served, so we could eat and go quite quickly.
Definitely a step up from what is normally available in Tete. Will be back.

It was a very positive discover being in the Ferry Sun in Tete.
It’s a perfect clean space, surrounded by a big and very well treated green yard with plenty Paradise Trees.
The rooms (in fact wooden houses distributed along) are well equipped and with the right size. A varanda with a small pool gives a interesting touch to the overall atmosphere.
TV, good speed internet, beautifully river side view with a pool gives you opportunities to relax.
The food in the restaurant is more expensive then the normal prices and the time for the service was extremely long. Maybe was a bad day... if that happens normally, it shouldn’t because it have all to be a perfect place to be.

The drive to the hotel is excruciating. After checking in, we traveled in a two different regular sedans, without luggage and carrying only 4 passengers of normal average adult weight- the car frequently scraped across the speed bumps. I see the need for the speed bumps, but cannot fathom why there needs to be so many or why they are so poorly constructed.
I checked in late on my first day after travelling for most of the day, and was immediately subjected to a 20 minute visit from the television technician, despite saying I did not want to watch TV.
My room did not have bedside tables (table lamps were placed on the floor), a safe for valuables, any information in the room (for e.g. telephone numbers), and no shower- the bath tub merely had a hand shower- with no shower curtain. The toilet was located next to a handrail for disabled individuals, but was fitted so close, you have to angle yourself away from it in order to sit down on the toilet seat properly. The bar fridge had a bad smell like rotten meat, and the plates and glassware put out were all dusty.
Despite saying on your website that your provide room service, it turns out one is not able to order anything to be delivered to your room.

Visited this hotel on business earlier this month & stayed in one of the river view one roomed villas. The room was rather good, and had plenty of space, but I battled a little with the WiFi connection. Breakfast was really nice & the staff were very friendly.
