I had a great stay at Deco Lodge. It's a very peacefully and quiet place in Cape Town. You share bathrooms and kitchen with others guest, but it never was a problem. The staff is always ready to help you during your stay, to make it easy for you. If you are looking for a place to visit or spend a night, I recommend all to consider Deco Lodge as a first priority !

Such a optimistic, peaceful and sociable lodge close to Cape Town's city centre. Every single member of the staff was so helpful, warm and friendly, even the funny dog, Bella. Stayed there around three months, making friends, discovering Cape and finding myself. Definitively, I reccommend it for everybody who likes freedom, outdoor activities, meets new people and, of course, believes in respect. In conclusion: perfect for whoever who enjoys life.

We booked online. Husband is allergic to cats. They have 2 indoor cats and 2 dogs. They are allowed in furniture so we were limited to the kitchen and bedroom for the most part.  No where did they say they had pets before booking.

We did laundry there and it came back damp. They said their dryer broke so they hung it to dry. We still got charged the full amount for wash and dry.

We thought the decor would be cool and contemporary, but was a bit outdated and not as nice as the photos online.

The staff was helpful but was not very knowledgable about Cape Town tourist information.

There are better and less expensive places to stay. Once in Cape Town was my favorite.

We came to DecoLodge due to an booking mistake of another backpackers who transferred us to this nice backpackers.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and they bond with you in a relaxed way by asking you to have a drink with them.

Rooms get serviced, what is high standard at a backpackers. Our room was spotlessly clean, with fresh, crispy linnen. Bathrooms and toilets also very clean and spacious.

We really were positively surprised by this nice accomodation and can defenitly recommend a stay there.

Deco Lodge is a cosy spot with easy access to Cape Town CBD. As per the other reviews, it is peaceful (if you want to escape the noise of Long Street).

In my experience, my room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were shared but once again it was clean and I never had issues. Moreover the service was fantastic - Bongani in particular was a lovely host and helped us navigate Cape Town for it was our first time there.

I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. It would have been nice to have more interaction with the other guests but this I believe this was more a consequence of the period of our stay (just before Christmas)

Deco Lodge is a beautiful, cosy place where you easily feel like home. I´ve stayed many times there and found good friends.
They have a small quite garden where you can relax with a braai area and a pool. The City is also close by and easy to reach by mini bus taxi.
I love the Lodge and I will always come back ;-)

I stayed at Deco Lodge for 2 weeks, and would really like to recommend the place. The lodge has a nice pool, a beautiful garden with a hammock and a brai area, as well as a nice outside dining area, and a bar and a pool table. The rooms are very nice, and the place is clean, and the staff is helpful. It is also very easy to get to the city centre from there; 10 minutes with the "taxi busses" which run all the time.

We stayed here on our holiday to Cape Town and really enjoyed it. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, cute dogs and cats, very comfortable beds and close by to shops, restaurants and My Citi bus stops! They have a full on kitchen, swimming pool and a pool table to keep you busy when you aren't exploring.

Very friendly and helpful staff, swimming pool a nice touch
but not the cleanest place.
Even though the young dude at reception checked and the cleaning lady after... I found that the pillow case had blood and dirty marks.. pretty much couldnt sleep all night as the bedding made me itchy and didnt smell clean.

Hope they upgrade some..
