The Hotel is very well situated in the city, with an exceptional staff , the day I booked breakfast was included and well served its good for family visit, or solo, they have a restaurant and swimming pool.
On arrival the receptionist found no booking and blamed the booking platform for the error. I showed her the hotel's own confirmation and she got stroppy. After a long wait I was handed a room key. I found a dark room of about two square metres. Back at reception I pointed out that I had a booking for a Deluxe Suite. A full half hour later I was tossed two keys without even a hint of an apology. The room smelled like a sewage plant due to a problem with the shower. The green pool water told us that it had tipped. The only highlight was one member of staff who bent over backwards to organise a day trip for us.
Terrible hotel. We received a confirmation from reception 2 months before arrival but on arrival were informed the booking did not exist. The receptionist tried to blame booking.com but the confirmation was direct from the hotel. She found a room for us... but it was a tiny, hot hole of a room. On going back to reception to change rooms we got the luxury room we asked for (and received confirmation about) after much waiting. The keys were thrown at us by the super rude receptionist with no apology. The room was comfortable BUT cleaning was sporadic (some days missed entirely) and twice we returned to the room to find the door was unlocked. A smell of sewers kept returning to the room. The only slight plusses were the good breakfast, and one member of staff went out of his way to arrange a daytrip to Tiete Resort which was much appreciated. On balance though do not stay unless you like sewer smells, unlocked rooms and rude reception staff.…
