We wanted to visit this restaurant because we have had food made off the chef Federico Cardi. He was not at work this evening, but the food had the samen level as he normaly do. High level, and service with a great sence of humor. And the prices is in same level as in other restaurant in the area. We wiil come bach
Great Stay at villa la borghetta! This Resort in tuscany is perfect to enjoy the chinti area. Rooms with view and wonderful location.... The restaurant is a plus! Great Tuscan food and pool with view!!
We stayed here for 5 nights and used it as a base to visit nearby cities and villages. Location: 4/5 - The views are absolutely beautiful and cannot be beaten, but the small road up to the hotel is crazy steep and has blind bends with only room for one car - it feels like an accident waiting to happen! Local train station is 10 mins drive away and on a 30min line to Florence - Parking was a nightmare though as locals obviously use it to commute. Spa: 5/5- Absolute pure luxury! Exactly how it looks on the pictures. Couldn’t ask for more. If you want a luxury spa you won’t be disappointed. Room: 2.5/5 -Pretty, rustic and clean but in need of a polish. Discolouration of bathroom tiles...etc. We also suffered a plague of insects. The first few days we saw a few beetles and squished them -no issue but we had to keep windows closed. On the last night we couldn’t sleep there were so many and must have killed about 30. We were moved rooms (at midnight) to escape them but given we had to wake up to fly at 6am this was inconvenient. We were told other rooms in the same area of the hotel were suffering the same issues. I understand that it’s the time of year...etc but a luxury 4* hotel should not have guests being evacuated from rooms due to bugs. No excuses. Staff 5/5- The staff were lovely, our receptionist was very helpful and the restaurant staff very polite. There was a language barrier (mainly in restaurant) as some staff speak better English than others and it did cause confusion one evening which was frustrating. However, their English was still far better than our Italian so can’t complain! The chap who dealt with us on our last night (when we had to change rooms due to bugs) was very professional and quick to help us which made the situation a bit better.…
We stayed here for 5 Nights. We brought our two granddaughters for lunch one of them has a nut and egg allergy. There was nothing on the extremely limited menu for the children. We had to leave and go to the local village. Te breakfast the next morning was extremely limited and tasteless and the service was poor. They had boiled eggs on offer but no eggcups, very small fruit salad. The scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. It is not hat we expect from a 4 Star Hotel. Other guests were complaining. We tried Lunch again bit after a half hour wait we asked for water. Then we were told it would be another 10 minutes before we could get served. In addition there was no Red Wine available . We left and again went to the local village where we received 4 Star Service and food. We found the middle aged man on Reception unhelpfull and unprofessional. The only time he smiled was when we approached to pay the Bill. There were Guests that left the Hotel complaining about the Service. We would have left as well but we were unable to get another Hotel locally. There is no Bar either. Very dissappointing stay. On the last day the here was no Eggs available either. How does such a Hotel keep its 4 Star Rating. People are being mislead it.…
Nice resort with a great style but it needs a facelift. Room needed paint at some places and toilet door was dirty with fingerprints. Shower door was not sealed and left water spill on the bathroom floor. Elevevator was very slow Door unlock did a big noise. Wifi was very very slow. Parking is free and for small cars Road up the hill to the resort has dangerous turns (no visibility).
