Just returning from a golf trip on Winding Bay with 3 friends.... Firstly, I want to stress how perfect the weather was while we were here. An absolutely perfect 80 degrees with little to no wind. GOLF (A+): Like all SOUTHWORTH golf courses, the Abaco Club has a premiere

No food or beverages are included. We enjoyed the casual beach bar/grill tremendously for breakfast and lunch and the more formal dining room in the evenings was quite good with a fantastic view. Be aware that in the Bahamas, both food and drink are expensive - it's just a fact of life that getting anything to the Bahamas is costly. You can always have your taxi stop at a liquor store and at Maxwell's grocery store in Marsh Harbor before making the 20-30 minute ride to Winding Bay. During season, Pete's Pub is next door, but still a mile or two away that is a must do for one meal/cocktails. Winding Bay does include a golf cart for your use inside Winding Bay. There are also bicycles easily available for free. My husband played golf with a new friend, I believe it was easy to make tee times. The golf course is truly world class - make sure to bring proper golf shoes, they will not let you on with tennis shoes.

are the cocktails expensive on property?
It is a very expensive property and not an all inclusive place. All drinks and food are expensive But outside of the club at Pete’s pub I can recommend to go for low priced drinks and food.

There are no ferries that I know of that go to Abaco from Florida. West Palm Beach international Airport is your best bet for direct flights to Marsh Harbour. Out of Fort Lauderdale you can take Jet Blue to Nassau and then connect with Sky Bahamas to Marsh Harbour. American Eagle has a direct flight out of Miami International. If you have a large group you should contact Cherokee Air in Abaco and charter their 12 seat Caravan. Very reliable. 242 367-1920.
