Staff was helpful and great. Great rooms with own pool. For sure to use when out to relax. Close to restaurants and other amenities as needed. Beautiful view on sea from restaurant side. Garden area is nice and green creating a cool atmosphere. Safe and secured.
We loved the pool area and the sea view from the restaurant and pool, and the breakfast was also very good, but the room was a disappointment. It was spacious but not that clean and there were holes in the wall around the windows so mosquitoes could easily get in the room through there. We also had a lot of bugs (small flies) coming up from the drain and they were all over the room.
Breakfast: paying for buffer and hotel trying to protect you from covid and serving you a la cart is common trick. But ordering for 2 people and receiving only one plate after 30 mins and nothing for second person after 45 mins is not acceptable. Asking 2 continues days for a croissant for kid when it was on the menu and not having any again not acceptable. From 3 days we went for breakfast only 1 they brought us fruits. Having an empty drinks station and asking 5 customers to shake/lean the coffee machine to put coffee not even to be comented. We paid for 9 nights including breakfast and after 3rd stopped going to breakfast (not to waste our time/mood). Pool: if you dare enter it. Always full of garbages on the bottom (even worm i saw) and plastic caps floating. Beach: because nobody was cleaing and were tired to watch so many garbages, we collected 4 big bags of garbages in 20 mins, including 11 slippers (yes i even found a pair), 2 deodorants unfortunately empty and a WD40. Nobody bothers to clean as it a continue stream of garbages passing. Beach width is small so it is no space for sunbeds on the sand or place for kids to play and its full of garbages. Water in shower: it was full of chlorine and one day we run out of water. Mosquitoes: they are everywhere inside rooms and in common areas.…
Recently stayed here for 7 nights and loved it. Great location, perfect on the beach as it's protected a bit by a rock wall so you don't get rough seas. It's perfect to just sit in and chill the day away. The water is so clear, almost perfect. the pool over looks the beach, but not technically an infinity pool as sun lounges in front and a little low, but great pool. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. Gardens lovely and location perfect just off the Main Street, to reduce noise but close to everything. Recommend
We stayed here for 6 nights, I loved everything about it staff as well. Clean, great service, great rooms, right on the beach. Amazing breakfast. Beach on doorstep, staff approachable and friendly. Restaurant good choice of good and drinks. Swimming pool clean and nice size, plenty of sun beds. A stone throw away from shops and night life but quiet and able to sleep in room,
My husband and I rode from Singapore and stayed here for our first visit to Koh Samui. It had limited parking space for cars but no problem for our bike. Love the location and our room was clean. They had a few English movie TV Channel which might not be a norm in Thai hotels we visited so far. After I emailed the hotel and mentioned it was our second honeymoon, we came to a room decorated with towel swans and rose petals. So happy with the gesture! The few negatives would be no lifts in the main building we stayed and if you're a light sleeper, the music from the neighboring ARK bar (though not loud) might keep you awake.
Montien House Hotel is well located in Chaweng . It is on the beach but at the same time close to Chaweng nightlife, the mall Central Festival and anything else. Rooms are comfortable and they have all the necessary but a renewal would be welcome. I have appreciated the staff who is always kind and smiling, particularly the guy at the reception. I have to say there is not lift in the structure, for me it hasn’t been a problem but it could be for older people or people with reduced mobility. Overall a very good stay at Montien House Hotel.
This resort is a true piece of paradise, located at the perfect spot in the middle of Chaweng. Though once on the resort, surrounded by all the beautiful green and the ocean. The resort offers all the luxurious facilities and more: great breakfast and restaurant with ocean view (right along the beach), nice swimming pool, laundry service, etc. The rooms are well equipped. My stay made it unforgettable by the kindness and personal touch by each staff member. I have travelled a lot, but these ones here were so so kind, sweet, always in for a small chat, joke or helping hand. A special thanks to Mrs. Pakdee, Mr. Phom and reception crew. Definitely would recommend this resort.
Stayed at this hotel for a week long vacation, had a fantastic experience! The rooms are big and super clean, staff is nice and very helpful! I’ve had a wonderful time, definitely would stay there again
The 7 of us arrived in Koh Samui at night on New Years day unsure of what to expect as it was our first time there. The relaxed feel of the airport really set the tone for the next 12 days we were there. After a short transfer to Montien, any lingering worries I may have had were quickly eased by Pong in reception. Check in was quick. We booked a Premier Room, Garden Cottage and Pool Villa. The rooms were all very clean and comfortable. The pool villa was fantastic. Rooms were cleaned daily by the ever smiling house keepers. On the first morning, we met the excellent resort manager Noi, who after a mix up with our halal dietary requirement request, quickly arranged for the rest of our journey to be worry free in this regard. She kept calling us BIG FAMILY with a huge smile whenever we saw her. The restaurant staff were outstanding. They catered to all our requests and made recommendations according to our requirements and tastes. A wonderful team. The location of Montein is brilliant. On the beach side it's less than 100 meters away from Ark Bar. The beach in front of Montein isn't the best for swimming but the swimming beach is very close. I still swam in front quite comfortably myself but the kids preferred the other spot. Make sure you get a massage, or 10, from the ladies in front, just next to the pool. On the land side, you're just off Chaweng Beach road and a short 5-10 min walk to Central Festival mall. Food, entertainment and shopping options aplenty on the road. A couple of 7-11's very close by. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Montein. The smaller size and excellent staff gave it a more personal and family like feel and we were very sad to leave when our time in Samui was up. Will definitely recommend to families, couples and groups of friends and will surely stay again if/when we ever go back to Samui. …
