It was about a week ago that we stayed here and the main things that come to mind when I think about our experience here… Loud club music (coming from the club next door) blaring through our hotel room everyday and all evening, a terrible breakfast and service, I also wouldn’t recommend the spa. Yes they’ve remodeled the place but there is so much more to a resort beyond some fresh new paint. I’m not sure exactly what makes this resort 5 stars other than the phone in the bathroom. Least favorite resort we stayed in in Thailand

This is a gorgeous property with some of the best beach stretch in Koh Samui. Every corner of this hotel is a Instagram-able spot. The hotel food is better than average but would definitely recommend hitting local spots or using the grab app. The highlight of our trip was our all day expeditions with Kelvin. He was outstanding! Spoke great English and was very helpful driver/guide/ and island insider. He did not disappoint with any of his recommendations for restaurants (especially authentic Thai cuisine) and tourist spots. He was always upbeat, considerate of our needs (providing cool towels, drinks, etc.) and even helped us get some cool camera shots. Can’t recommend enough. Made the entire experience special for us. Will definitely be back!

As a 5-star reputable hotel, the service is arguable whether it deserves to be rated as high as 5-start or not. Personally, I (June 2022) experienced non-responsive receptionist for more than two times calling without contacting back. Further clumsy me I forgot a small gadget and I contacted to the hotel immediately after checking out > it turns out that the staffs already knew that I forgot something but they didn’t even try to reach out. I went to ask for such gadget at night waiting for more than 45 mins to get the forgotten gadget back to my possession. From the abovementioned experience, I have doubt whether this hotel deserves the rated stars considering the price and the facilities.

Hands down it is the best hotel on the island if not in whole Thailand! The place is extremely beautiful and very luxury, honestly it was our best hotel experience we ever had! When we entered at the gate it was like we arrived in a different world. The entrance area has the wow factor just like the whole property. We loved the tastefully furnished rooms and the generous minibar selection. The room was very quiet, I’m extremely sensitive for noises but I didn’t hear a single sound from the neighbouring rooms, only some footsteps from the room above. Building nr. 1-2-3 is facing to the garden and the infinity pool and it’s more quiet. You can only hear the cute little birds singing. The breakfast was great with a huge selection for everyone’s taste. Honesty I have never seen such a well equipped hotel gym before, there are a lot of equipments with the latest technology, amazing! We used the gym on daily basis and only one time we met others so it was very quiet. The beach is beautiful with fine soft white sand and the pools are very nice too. We based ourselves at the infinity pool (adults only), it was very quiet and Click took a good care of us with water and towels. All our questions and requests at the reception were fulfilled smootly and kindly, Mild, Toy and Jean were all so helpful! We were sad to leave the hotel but I hope there will be new openings of the brand, if not we should return to Samui 😊

We were here 7 years ago when it was still Centara Grand. We (2A+1C) chose Centara Reserve (CR) for our 1st overseas holiday since C19/2020 and we made the right choice indeed. Made a special request for the driver picking us up at the airport to have a special sign to surprise the kiddo, executed well and CR went 1 level up and prepared a bouquet for her as well. Driver was polite and chatty along the way. Check-in was extremely smooth by "Sao" and hotel/room amenities were explained well along the way. Room was as per expected with lovely bathroom amenities. Housekeeping was done very well daily and promptly, requests were brought to the room within 5-10 mins as well. Small feedback is pillows were a tad too soft and perhaps a pillow menu could be provided to up the game. Breakfast was amazing each day with fine and prompt service. Pool was great with swim-up bar. Pool boys were attentive, making chats with guests, topping up water promptly, shifting the chairs into shade, recommending food etc. Small feedback is pool could use more shade with planted trees or canopy over. Kids club seem to have shrunk in size but kids wet play area just beside it was enjoyable. Dined at Salt Society couple of times for lunch and food/drinks were lovely. "Surprise of the day" call was a hit with the kid. Missus enjoyed the spa. Location wise was good. Out the property and there are restaurants/spas to either the left or right within 10-15 mins' walk. No nearby 7-11 though, several shops still closed due to pandemic. Central Festival a short songtheaw ride away nonetheless. CR aims to be an upscale brand and has definitely hit the mark. Well done to the entire team from gardeners, pool staff, f&b staff, frontliners, housekeeper etc and the GM whom we met/chat with during breakfasts when he does his rounds. We will be back.

If you want a total relaxing holiday head towards Centara reserve in samui. Recently renovated, each corner speaks of beauty. We chose a room with reserve pool of our own and had an amazing time at the pool. The kids loved it. Breakfast was amazing. If we ever come back to Samui it has to be for Centara!!

I was very impressed about the warm welcome from all staff here, especially Miss Ellie (คุณแอลลี่). She is polite and could answer all the questions that I have without rambling. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast a la carte and buffet which is a perfect option for everyone who loves a good breakfast like me. Besides that, I enjoyed complimentary daily “surprise of the day”. The location is really nice (within 15 minutes from the airport by car and 15 minutes by walk to Central Samui). I also like that this resort has two swimming pools and the private beach. Overall, I highly recommended this hotel. Can’t wait to come back! :)

Beautiful building with a lot of area with a very long white sand beach. At the infinity pool(adult only) was stunning and relaxing, the boy took good care of us and always came with glasses of iced water and beach towel.

The Centara Grand has been given an incredible makeover, gone are the jaded rooms, replaced by bright, neutral shades and modern amenities! We are currently on our final night here, having stayed for 11 nights already, the hotel is simply unrivalled anywhere on the island, indeed in South East Asia. From the staff, the amenities, the location, the beautiful rooms (room 105 with plunge pool), the food and the hospitality, everything has been perfect. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure guests are having a great time, from Pla in the breakfast room, to Keng & Mhao at the pool bars, to front desk staff, porters and bellhops - many have returned to working at Centara after the pandemic and the refurb and it is their wealth of experience that ensures a fantastic stay. We are in all bars and restaurants, everything was faultless. Compared to small local eateries, it is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and Centaras bars and restaurants are well worth a visit if you are not staying here. Chaweng beach has been very quiet and many places are only just getting reopened, but there is still plenty to see and do here, CocoTams and the Fishermens village was busy Friday night and it seems there’s more and more tourists finally arriving. So if you haven’t been to Koh Samui, get it booked and do yourself a favour and stay at Centara Reserve, you will not be disappointed - it’s amazing!

Had a smashing five days here. Gorgeous new property grounds with fantastic service. Worth every single penny! Things to love: - Proximity to airport - Everything you can think of is provided. Full toiletries. Toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, cotton buds, facial cotton, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, beach bag, towels, robes, great firm bed.. Just bring yourself!!! - BEST beach in Samui. Clear waters, shallow shore, long white sandy stretch - New property with many IG worthy spots - All staff smile and greet you. Even the gardeners. - Check in was smooth. We were given a cold welcome drink and a pretty blue chocolate. We also set flowers on the water at the entrance. Very nice touch. - Bell boys are polite. Toy gave us suggestions on restaurants at Fishermen village - Housekeeping was fantabulous. She made us a special bubble bath, and acceded to all our requests. - Front desk gave us late check out without hesitation - well equipped gym with new equipment, towels, cold drinks - pool service was fab. They proactively offer two towels for each person and ice water. - free daily resorts activities like aqua exercise, yoga etc - Big selection of food at breakfast. - free use of canoe and kayaks - three pools and greenery to enjoy We stayed in the reserve suite with sea view on the third floor and we loved it. From our balcony we could see the trees and happy birds, and the sea (We spent many hours just reading here!) The mini bar (and coffee capsules) is free. And to top it off, gin, vodka and whiskey were free. We were so surprised. We mixed our own drinks every single day, and called for our surprise everyday too. You get a different small snack each day. Sometimes it's chocolate, sometimes jelly. The only issue I have with the hotel - food (and very soft pillows but that's a small thing). Room service supper was bland. Hotel could really look into improving culinary skills and food quality. We went to nearby Phensiri the next day instead. There's also local laundry service outside for 60baht. Note tt Chaweng is still very quiet now, barely recovering from covid unfortunately, so many small shops are still closed. Conclusion - We love the attention to details and will not hesitate to return.
