Evergreen Resort located near nice beach with good activities, shops and restaurants all around. I think only location is a big plus. Not bad bungalows but cleaning is poor. Every time when we come back I see my hair on the floor, dirty mirrors and dust that no one is wipe :-). Not good at all. Hotel has small swimming pool, free parking and free beach towels. It is also plus.

I stayed here once before in the main building and it was acceptable this time though I got stuck in one of their cabanas with a lumpy bed and an air conditioner so loud it could wake an army. Super disappointed with staff for not moving me to a room like I had before.

Hotel itself is nice but the location is the selling point here. The beach is a 1 minute walk as is the Main Street with all the restaurants, bars, shops. No need for a scooter if you stay here. The room was nice, bed comfortable, clean, good aircon and nice balcony. Hotel also has a little pool which was nice but we didn’t bother using it much as the beach was so close.

The location is great.yet the hotel is not well maintained and our room was not clean (actually... It was filthy...). it had dust all-over and the floor was filled with hair.the bathroom was not clean either (filthy ... filthy...)the toilet seat and all-over had not been cleaned and had stains that could easily be cleaned with soap and water but no body did that... The since area was dusty and filthy ... I was surprised to see that . Obviously,I cleaned the room before using any of the facilities in it... After so many visits to Thailand and many stays in Evergreen resort Koh samui, this is my first experience in Thailand and in this hotel that we received a room that had not been cleaned ,for a very long time .... Also the young lady in charge(she also seats at the front desk but she is the manager ) she is all smiles but did not help at all. I even felt she doesn't want to help (I hope I am wrong about her...).the maintenance lady was definitely more willing to help .

Having never stayed in Chaweng before, we decided to book two nights at Evergreen. The location was good, having access to the beach and the main strip but that is where the fairytale ends. Finding the hotel is not too difficult so long as you research and study google maps, otherwise you would miss the sign on the main road. Walking down a semi-dodgy side street you find the hotel reception. Check in took longer than what I thought was required and rather than shown we were given a key and pointed in the general direction of our garden bungalow. The gardens on the way, though lush and green, were nothing more than a silent warning of the mosquitos lurking. The room given to us (#116) was, to say the least, hideous. There was a small outdoor area with a table and two chairs but it was very dark (we arrived in the middle of the day) and dank. Upon entering you see the entire space in all it's "glory". One of the oldest TV's I have seen in quite some time, a small fridge and a seating area. The cushions on the seats were absolutely gross, with stains dating back to the dawn of time. We closed the blinds, which were also filthy, and found a dark shoe print on one of them - which I took to be the obvious remnants of battle between man and mosquito (hopefully man won on theat fatal day). There was a small wardrobe in the corner and a desk area oposite the bathroom. Oh that bathroom. Pretty sure there are pigsty's in Cambodia cleaner than that place. there were stains... no, evidence of miss-aiming and god only knows what else on the toilet seat which my partner cleaned with antibacterial. The shower floor was stained with rust and general filth. We ran the shower water and within second there arose a mighty stench which smelled like the entire Thailand sewer system jam packing into one tiny space. The only redeeming feature was that the bed linen was clean as a whistle. We stood around and reviewed our room when we were greeted by the next confrontation. A plane took off from the airport and roared over the hotel. Can only guess their flight path was directly overhead. We hoped that it would only happen now and again but no, it seems every single flight path from the airport was directly over our heads. We went for a walk and had some lunch, hoping that we were maybe just being too critical and that things would seem brighter after some food and a cold beer. Alas when we got back to the hotel it seemed even worse than on first inspection. Planning a swim in the pool we got half way there and just couldn't take it. We went to reception to ask for another room. We explained that the room was filthy and unacceptable and funnily enough the lady at the desk didn't seem that suprised. She said she could show us two rooms she had available... neither of which we that much better. She then advised that she did have one more room and showed us and though it wasn't great, it was better than the others, so we packed up and shifted. We decided that we could deal with one night but not two. We contacted the next hotel we were due at and they said we were welcome to come a day early, so even though we had paid for two nights, forfeiting one nights payement more than worth it. The pool was ok, not as big as portrayed in the photos but acceptable, but there is minimal walking space between the pool and the deck chairs meaning we litterally had to climb over people to get past. Though there is a pool bar it was closed by the time we had a swim (about 4pm). We would not return to this hotel, under threat or bribe.

Second visit to this great place. The location can’t be faulted close to the main drag and 1 minute to the best part of the beach. Rooms are big enough for the amount of time you spend there! Breakfast is fine and always fresh ingredients. Nawee the manager does a fantastic job ensuring all your needs are catered for. The cleaning ladies are super friendly and great to have a chat with. As some guests on here say rooms could do with a good clean but it’s an older resort but for the $$ you shouldn’t worry about it to much. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Samui

I really liked this hotel! It was Simple but nice! ROOM: I had a room in the main building and it was clean and big with a big balcony ! It’s not a 4 stars but has everything you need: kettle with some coffees/tea, 2 bottles of water free, fridge... Only the tv was a bit old but ok with some English channels. The bed was comfortable (maybe a bit hard but it was the same in all Thailand). The bathroom was also big enough with a rain shower. The water is warm and strong! A distributor of soap and shampoo available. There is also a hair dryer. Overall clean and comfortable! The hotel: A nice pool not so big but enough to refresh yourself if you need (with a bubble area). STAFF: The staff was really nice and friendly! Specially Tarnny ! She helped me for booking a cab or a motodrive with good price ! Warm and strong water in the shower. LOCATION: The location is awesome next to the Main Street without the noise and an direct access to the wonderful Chaweng Beach via another hotel (direct access only some steps, really easy and direct )! For the price it’s a really nice place at Chaweng.i did t try the breakfast so I can’t say. But there are Lot of possibilities to eat arounda and a Family market (its like 7/11 in front etc. Don’t give it a second thought ! I would go again without hesitation!

My family loved this resort! The pool and hot tub was the highlight since we stayed during the winter. The breakfast was very good and the service was excellent! My kids enjoyed ordering the room service, which was delivered promptly. We'll be back!

Just arrived here. The elevator is shut down. No computer system. Room 205- junior suit. The pillow case was dirty. The bed is so hard that you have to have a massage after. The bathroom is like from an horror movie. The view is to the garage where everyone can look at you on the balcony. The jaccuzy is dirtyyyyyyyy. Really disgusting. My husband just re-cleaned the toilet since it was filthy as well. Thanks god we need to stay here for only 2 nights. On the plus side- the hotel is located perfectly. A short walk thru another hotel which is combined with this one and your in the beach ! In summary- would not recommend this hotel to anyone .

This hotel is exactly what you expect for this price range. The room was big enough for us 2.& The location cannot be beat. I also think this hotel backs out onto the best part of Chaweng beach Although not beach front there is chairs for the other hotel you walkthrough to her to beach which we used and just bought drinks from the restaurant.was fine for us. The only downside is that the housekeeping needs to be majorly improved. not once did they sweep or clean the bathrooms well. It was really a pain to come into a dirty to. But you get what you pay for. Overall it was such a good location and price id recommend if they improve their housekeeping.
