Detailed Reviews
We loved this hotel for so many different reasons I don’t know where to start! It’s location next to the main chair lift made for easy getaways in the morning, the sunny terrace was perfect to come back to for late afternoon drinks and they also serve the most delicious lunches and evening meals! The restaurant staff are fun, accommodating but very professional. The selection of food available is excellent and the prices fairly reasonable. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and we looked forward our breakfast every morning - delicious fresh breads, croissants, fruit, meats, cheeses, sausages, eggs.. something for everyone! The accommodation I also found great - the comfiest ski resort beds I have stayed in and the apartment layout worked so well for our family of 5. The rooms are all kitted out with state of the art appliances. We opted to have our room cleaned on a daily basis which was definitely worth the extra money - it was such a treat to get back to a sparkling room! The spa and pool area is beautiful and we looked forward to a sit in the hot tub and sauna every evening! Finally, but most importantly, the reservations team are fantastic! They were very accommodating and all of our requests were met and it was very easy to book and reserve lift passes, skis etc. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again! I just hope they don’t increase their prices too much after such positive reviews🤞!

We stayed in the Alparena as a family of 6 including two teenagers and grandparents. Our accommodation consisted of one of the two bedroom apartments plus the adjoining two king size rooms. The facilities within the accommodation were exceptional meaning we had a fantastic stay. There wasn't anything that wasn't thought of in terms of living items you might need.
The spa facilities were exceptional and the whole family made good use of all of the facilities after a days skiing.
The ski in/ski out position of the hotel on the slopes is perfect and the proximity to the restaurants/bars and supermarket in Les Eucherts was great.
We used both restaurants at the hotel which was a bit of a mixed bag. The quality of food and drinks offered in the Solario terrace at lunchtime was very good but unfortunately the service was inconsistent and quite slow at times. The food was always served very quickly but at times we had to ask again for our drinks even though we could see them sitting on the bar.
We ate in the Alpagio restaurant on New Years Eve. The special set menu was exceptional and in contrast to the Solario terrace the service was also very good.
The hotel reception staff were very friendly and were very attentive to any requests or questions.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend the Alparena as a place to stay and we would definitely book there again.
The only area for slight improvement is the service on the Salorio terrace restaurant.

Right from the get go the staff where brilliant friendly , helpful they give u a tour of the hotel while your luggage was transported to your room , the rooms are ultra modern all digital with a very modern decor, spa bath and separate walk in shower tea coffee facilities and fully stocked fridge , ski lockers easy access to the slopes and a welcoming spa and pool
to tend to your tired legs at the end of your ski day.
The food on the half board option was a very very high standard and the presentation was like Michelin star , both the day restaurant was of equal standard
We felt like the whole hotel had a family type atmosphere and all the staff made a great effort to get to know u , and the manager Elizabeth was always in different sections of the hotel checking if everything was good with your stay and asking about your day.
In our opinion if u found a fault with anything during your stay they would pull out the stops to put it right , we had no issues and will return next year for our ski holiday thank u for having us from dan and Lynn

We couldn’t fault the Alparena Hotel. The staff were really friendly, always smiling and spoke fluent English (as well as several other languages). Elisabeth, the manager, was wonderful. All staff were always exceptionally willing to help guests, whatever the issue. We have been to many supposed ski out ski in resorts but this was totally true to its word with the slopes being only 6 paces from the boot room! The food was typically French and always appetising, the soups were exceptional. I am restricted to a gluten free diet and the hotel chefs accommodated me very well although I will say the resort as a whole is not fully geared up for those with GF diets.
The Restuarant’s on the slopes all serve excellent snacks and meals and the views on the mountains are quite stunning.
We stayed in a Junior Family Suite which contained a fully fitted kitchen, a seating area with TV, two bathrooms and a south facing balcony. It was lovely although access to the main wardrobe in the bedroom requires timely cooperation between occupants.
Everything in the room was of the highest spec and it brought a new meaning to high tech lighting.
In short we loved the hotel and had the best skiing holiday we’ve had for years.

The Alparena is a wonderful place to stay . We take the large self catering apartment with 2 double bedrooms and 4 linked double en-suite rooms . Loads of space for our family of 10 adults. The facilities in the apartment are of a very high standard, you have your own steam shower and sauna. In the master room the jacuzzi bath overlooks the slopes !
Staff are very happy and helpful.
Highly recommend this accommodation.

Wow wow and wow, before we had even made it to the slopes, me and the wife had already decided we were coming back in 2025.
I am at a loss for how this is 4 and not a 5 star hotel.
Having arrived at almost midnight on the Saturday night due to flight and transfer issues, the hotel staff were on the ball from the off. They provided us with a complimentary drink and evening meal which was needed due to being able to get nothing of substance since getting onto the plane at 3pm.
We had upgraded to the superior twin room and the room is top quality from the amazing bathroom down to the electronic control of the room with the lights and heating and less we not forget the multitude of plugs you can use and the contactless charging points on the bedside cabinets.
We had one slight issue with the spa bath but this was done within an hour of reporting it the following morning.
There are spectacular views in the morning and the hotel is also a ski in and ski out location right near the bottom of the Les Eucherts lift.
Every single member of hotel staff were amazing and would do anything even if it meant going out of their way to make you happy, I simply can’t fault any of them. We went out half board, and I can’t deny I am the fussiest person when it comes to food but thankfully Kian (a lad from Wales) who has been in France since he was 2 who was one of the waiters spoke fluent French and explained what all the meals were and when there was something that was not liked, they provided an alternate that was not on the menu.
We also met a couple from Wales where one of their kids broke their leg with them ending up in a wheelchair, again the hotel staff were amazing with them helping out in any way they could.
The whole gym and spa area is truly worth a visit alone but having that at the end of a day’s skiing is really nice to have on your doorstep. There is also a break out room for the kids and a room with lots of pods that you can chill out in and read a book for a bit of quiet time.
The hotel has two restaurants, we visited both and the food is amazing in either one but one does not cater for evening meals.
If needed there is also a ski shop on site.
There is probably more that I have missed but that was what we had used, there are plenty of reviews mentioning Elizabeth but we never met here till the last day and she has already helped us with my food aversions for the next time we come out, the place is absolutely amazing, we will not go anywhere else and have found our home on the slopes for the foreseeable future.

A wonderful stay at the Alparena. The position of the hotel and its accommodation are excellent; but what takes it to a 5/5 is the manager, Elizabeth, and her carefully chosen team. From booking to check out, their friendly, professional and efficient attitude make this a very special stay. We travelled as a family plus dog, and the reception staff, housekeeping, technicians and spa staff went out of their way to make our holiday very enjoyable. If Elizabeth is still managing the hotel we would definitely return.

We couldn’t believe how great this hotel was. We were welcomed and shown up to our apartment which was absolutely amazing. Huge 2 bed apartment with a sauna and steam room which was a lovely surprise. The beds are so comfortable, pillows are fab. There was robes and slippers too. The half board was lovely and very extravagant. Breakfast was all we needed with cold and hot options, and dinner was superb.
The staff are really lovely and Elizabeth is extremely professional and ready to sort anything at all for you. The boot room is very good and being ski in ski out makes things so easy. The spa was great to relax in after a day on the slopes. Never too busy to enjoy.
All in all this hotel is the best in La Rosiere and we can’t recommend it enough. 5 stars Alparena.
Thank you so much. 😍

We love this place! Amazing customer service that really feels above and beyond. This was our second time back and both times we felt like we had a wonderful experience. They have a great ski hill with a "magic carpet" where our little 3-year-old learned to ski for the first time, a GREAT pool with a kids area. Also, I forgot my laptop and an ANGEL who works there named Flavie mailed it back to Switzerland for me. Really amazing service all around. We'll be back next year! A bientot Alparena!
