We stayed for 2 nights. Made welcome by Samuel. Nice room. We had breakfast and dinner both days and all good. We had car troubles and Vanessa called Johan who came to our rescue and charged the car battery overnight which worked. We also had WiFi problems and Samuel front of house person spent time sorting us out. There is secure parking, a nice pool, walk to the beach, and a short drive to shops. We will be back

The “classic” view of Table Mountain from our bed, every morning - what more could you ask for? However, added was an attentive, helpful staff who were always happy to help but never intrusive. An absolutely perfect base for our third week in the Cape.

We stayed at Bliss in December 2022. Was a great experience apart from the fact that they did not inform me that they do not have back up power during Loadshedding. We therefore could not use the amenities at a 4* establishment during our 1day stay. Only a little battery light was provided in the room. I contacted the owner twice via email and a month later, after I called in person, I was told that they did not feel it important enough to respond as yet. I have no problem but expected to be told we would not be able to use the facilities like AC, TV, coffee machine etc. Communication to your patrons please. Then they can decide for themselves. Apart from that great venue with very friendly staff.

Good morning Jean, Always great to have some feedback from our South African guests. On your stay with us we had loadshedding from 4pm to 6pm, while you were having a stroll on our beatiful sandy beach. You returned and Sam served you cocktails while you relaxed on the loungers at the swimmingpool. Iam sure that is why you did not notice the measures implimented to make loadshedding bearable in the hotel! We are sensitive to noise polution, therefor we equiped the hotel with loadshedding lights and an inverter to keep the wifi working. All the nessesary facilities is still usable during loadshedding, like ordering coffee from the bar or in your case cocktails! Kind regards Venessa and the Bliss team

Sadly, we were disappointed due to the heightened expectations both from an article we read stating this to be among the 10 best hotels in the Cape Town area and the reviews. There were many good points, as well as some disappointing elements, that are non-negotiable for a higher priced ‘luxury accommodation’ (as advertised on their website) for which we paid over 3700 Rand per night. Some might be minor but in conjunction with each other they start to matter. Let’s start with the good things: Pros - stunning view: across to Cape Town and table mountain, but make sure to be on the second floor towards the sea otherwise the sand dunes will be in your way - Very friendly staff on arrival as well as on breakfast duty (Kuda) - Clean, nice decor - Very comfortable bed linen and big enough shower towels Cons - Bed: I have never stayed in what they advertise on their website as a ‘luxury hotel’ in a ‘superior deluxe king’ size room where the mattress does not measure 2 m in length! This meant that both my husband’s and my feet were dangling off the end of the bed and when the bedspread pulls down on the toes this becomes extremely uncomfortable - Balcony: the balcony of room 202 is very small and can definitely not be used with two chairs - Window: the window of room 202 towards the table mountain also serves as balcony for room 201 which means as they stand on the balcony they can look inside straight onto the bed, which means no privacy - Pre-used slippers (which I doubt the guest would put back in the plastic wrapper) - The whole restaurant, bar and lounge area was smelling strongly of cooking smells, even in the afternoon when there was no one cooking in the kitchen - Lastly, having to wait for more than one hour for 2 deserts without any mention of waiting time is too much. To be aware of: - Best views, for the sunset is on the rooftop, but bring some thing because winds are extremely strong - If you take a room on ground floor to sand dunes covered the view and patio is connected to the rooms right and left - When we were there, there was only one chef in the kitchen and this made waiting times extremely long

Good afternoon Nathalie, Thank you, we always appreciate reviews from our South African guests. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the views, linen, shower and towels. We do not sell rooms on the ground floor as sea view rooms, they are sold as Mountain view rooms, which is perfectly visible from their rooms. King size beds is the standard lenght, we did not cut off part of the bed, that is the standard lenght as sold right across the country. All rooms are fitted with curtains to ensure privacy. Our restaurant is operational from 7am to 10pm and food is made throughout the day. The hotel has 10 rooms and there is 3 chefs, working in shifts throughout the day. It is a pity you did not join us for dinner during your stay. Strong winds is always possible in Cape Town, however that is far in the minority to beatiful sunny days with slight breezes. Kind regards Venessa and the Bliss team

We enjoyed two lovely nights at the Bliss Boutique Hotel. The iconic view of Table Mountain and the proximity to family were what made us book. The friendliness of the staff and especially Samuel, would mean we would return. Our first night we are at Homespun - highly recommend this restaurant. On our second night we had family join us for a nice dinner in the restaurant and beforehand we’d enjoyed drinks on the terrace watching a fabulous sunset. We had room 201 which shares the same view of the mountain. We also took a walk along the beach to blow away the cobwebs - glorious! The hotel has secure private parking and will arrange an Uber for you.

I have stayed in many hotels in Cape town and bliss remains my favorite because of the warm hospitality of the staff and the amazing view (we saw the best sunset there). Simon and Vimbai were exceptional and made us feel very welcome!! There was always a smile on their face! Pros: -Clean, modern, comfortable rooms -2mins walk to the beach -Hotel facing table mountain -5 stars hospitality -Private parking Cons None really, except for maybe better pillows, the pillows were quite flat I will always cherish my time at Bliss and hope to be back! Thanks again!!

The service from Samuel was the kindest person ever and the chef prepared the best food ever. Beach few meters away with views of Cape town. Room was a bit smaller than it looked on pictures but that's not a problem. The decor is stylish and modern. Samuel and the chef made our stay perfect as we were the only guests during covid
