I spent a few nights alone at Blouberg Manor guests house, which is ideally located 50m from the beach, 300m from all facilities (restaurants, shops, surf hire boutique, etc) and a 20-minute drive from the centre of Cape Town. The manor is magnificent, with typical architecture that recalls the history of South Africa. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Rooms are made up daily, with access to the kitchen (if required) and a large lounge/dining room. Access to the Guest House is self-guided, and there is also a private packing house at the side of the building. I really enjoyed my stay at the Manor and will repeat the experience if I come back to Cape Town.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place is very nice and relaxing. Close to everything we needed.
Would definitely visit again. Some of the rooms are a little bit small, but the purpose of Cape Town is to be out and about and not stuck inside your room the whole day. I would like to see bit bigger TVs in the room for movies and series at night. Currently it seems that all rooms have a 20-22" TV, a 32" TV would be perfect.

Excellent service & value for money!!!! The staff was welcoming & they were willing to cater to any needs. Situated approx 50m from the beachfront made it an ideal location for sunset walks. Will most definitely return for another stay.

The room was clean and that is about the best I can say about this property.
It was very noisy when we arrived. You can hear exactly what people was saying in the other rooms and in the corridors.
Decor was very untidy. Linen, towels, curtains, glasses, mugs, TV etc. are most certainly not guest house quality at all and was a big let down of this property.
Floors etc. does not meet the old house atmosphere. Not even worth the stay!

there is a lot to be done. the place was quite noise as my room was near the dining hall. very loud i couldn't sleep and i was there for business. There was no one to welcome me when I got there even when I left. The staff is nonexistent. in the morning loud radio was playing from the kitchen or one of the rooms and disturbed my sleep. great loaction but everything else was not well organised

The location is good and it is close to restaurants. We only stayed for one night. The host is very friendly and I can recommend staying at Blouberg Manor. The hotel is clean and there is a small fridge and TV in the room. Also a kettle with free coffee/tea.

The pictures on the web told a very different story from the reality of what we encountered. The room we were given was outside and was dilapidated. The bathroom door could not be closed and the fridge was not working. Someone parked up against our door, leaving us scrambling through the flower bed to get to our room. They then started their car in the morning and let it run for some time before leaving

If you love barking little dogs inside and outside the guest house, you in for a treat! Dogs bark at night and mornings. Have a feeling the dogs belong to the caretaker/owner. I didn't expect this issue from a guest house!
Rooms are big.
No Aircon, just a fan.
Breakfast was good. Check to see if the sausages are cooked. Mine was raw on day one.
Location was good.
