The Guesthouse is in a stunning location. With any advertised 5 star establishment the devil is in the detail. Part of the check-in is the receipt of a WhatsApp message detailing entry codes etc. It would be great if someone would talk you through the arrangements if you want your room cleaned. Verbal communication to confirm what I as guest am required to do. Rather don't assume that I will read all the detail (which I didn't).
We are also in the tourim industry and we share these comments in a constructive light to allow management/owners to address the shortcomings we identified:
1. By 13:30 the main welcome area of the Guesthouse had not been cleaned properly. Cushions were still left as is by a group who checked out yesterday. They were having lunch there (takeaways) when we arrived. This afternoon there were still remnants of chips, a chocolate wrapper and an uncleaned coffee table visible.
2. The large ottoman in the reception area is visibly dirty and requires urgent cleaning.
3. The blockout curtains in the room also urgently require cleaning. Visibly dirty.
4. The large carpet in the bedroom has a "sticky" feel to it. It also needs a good clean.
5. The grouting in between the tiles in the shower needs a proper clean.
Your peak season is just around the corner and if you manage to address the above with improved onsite management and supervision you'll once again be at the top of your game.

Arrived at Salt Boutique and wow what a wonderful stay. The design and location of the place is great. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in Is very comfortable and clean. Their family style of having breakfast on the long table is great to connect with other travellers. Oh the breakfast itself was good.

Worth seeing the other side of CapeTown.

I've been experiencing SALT & their "warm team" since shortly after they opened and it's truly wonderful to be a repeat visitor that can confirm, years down the line... They are consistent in their facilities and offering. It ALWAYS feels like "home" even though it's a slice of heaven to experience. Truly a get-away worth experiencing no matter which room you stay in. Certainly a PLUS to be a walk away from the beach too.

I was so looking forward to spending New Yesr Eve and New Year day and booked in Oct already.

All was booked for two deluxe rooms for 2 nights and I am flying from the Netherlands to be with family together however I received a email that due to system issues they are fully booked . Almost a month later to get this response is disappointing and unacceptable, already spoilt the holiday mood.

I receive no reply from the establishment after contacting them directly. I got emails and calls from Booking.com but not Salt.

Poor booking experience and let disappointment :( I am still waiting for further information on how I will be compensated for this or accommodated for the dates booked.

Myself and my husband booked a one night stay at SALT Boutique Guest House. It was our first time staying in a smart room, I think it's called.....we actually got so lazy telling google to do everything :)

We occupied a room right by the pool, and enjoyed a late night splash accompanied by a pizza and a glass of wine.

Thank you to the friendly staff (Christopher, Moeshfiqah, Rumi and Sandy) for making our evening a pleasant one.......and a big thumbs up to the kitchen staff for the amaaaaaazing breakfast.

This has to be the most beautiful Guesthouse I have ever stayed at. We stayed in the room named "John", and it exceeded all expectations. The rooms are comfortable, and decorated in a calming style, with all the amenities you need. The pool out front was a welcome relief from the summer heat. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
The beach front with restaurants and bars is a short walk away, which means you are far enough away from the action to enjoy complete silence, while being close enough to walk to activities and beautiful sunset views of Table Mountain.
Will be recommending Salt to all visiting friends and family.

We originally booked our stay at salt guesthouse in March 2022. Due to unforseen circumstances when our internal flight time was changed we had to cancel our reservation that we had booked and paid a 50%deposit via nightsbridge. We cancelled in October 2022 and since then we gave tried to obtain our deposit vack . Despite numerous WhatsApp messages and calls we have still never received our deposit back!!!!!

Thank you Salt for treating us to a boutique experience. Our room was luxuriously appointed with state of the art technology. And the live demo dinner with Prim Reddy was exquisite. You have the perfect recipe for a weekend away.

Amazing rooms, nice facilities and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone who needs a little luxury on a trip to Cape Town. A short walk to stores and a quick Uber ride to Cape Town. Not far from the beach or nice dining.
