Very good hotel. Excellent location. Above all brilliant staff. A pleasure to stay here. Rooms quite big. Breakfast was very good. Didn’t use the restaurant. Pool area is small but when your opposite a huge beach I’m not sure this matters. Will be back.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay, esp if you book it at the under 150 bucks rate that it is available year round except for the Xmas and New Year period. Even with the high season last minute dynamic pricing highway robbery rates we booked, and with all our requests for room type being ignored thanks to a third party booking site, we were pleased with the stay. Thanks to the diligent staff, esp Lydia who worked hard to make sure we got a room with most of the features booked, we had a very nice stay at a very busy time. The staff is exceptional and with loss of functionality in half the electric outlets in our room, they rapidly sent repair staff late at night to fix a tripped circuit. The balconies provide views of the beach - be sure to ask for a high floor or you will be stuck above the noisy restaurant/bar. Rooms seem newly renovated and are very comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. The only negative was the horrible mayhem at breakfast and the overworked and clearly miserable staff who could not keep up with the almost animalistic behavior of the hungry tourist masses. It was hard not to sympathasize with their disdain, trying to remain polite as guests demand four egg omlettes piled with 10x the normal volume of ingredients- or waste endless bowls of food they had to replenish. Breakfast was simply unpleasant, but was as much due to fellow guests as the tired staff. One thing to consider is that it will cost you a significant amount in Uber or taxi fees to and from Cape Town and it takes at least 35 minutes each way, without traffic, and longer, if things are busy. If you plan on being in town daily, you may want to stay somewhere closer. But if you need a break from the city, this is a very nice place to take it.

You have just got to visit the Waves restaurant at Blaauwberg Beach Hotel. The food and service were excellent with a great variety to choose from. Siphamandia ensures the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently, he also has a very warm welcome which may I add is sincere. Lwando served our table for the evening, he was very knowledgeable with both food and wine and made excellent recommendations. He made our evening into a special occasion, as nothing was too much trouble for him.

Firstly the Chef should go back to Chef School and be re-trained. I ordered a chicken pizza. Despite it taking about 45min to arrive, the chicken still had bones in it. The Beetroot salmon was HORRIBLE. Couldn't even take two bites from it. It was sent back to the kitchen. The Manager is on plannet, I dont give a F**K. He is clearly NOT trained properly or not the right fit for the job . An army of waiters doing NOTHING but walk around!!!!

A beautiful hotel with magnificent uninterrupted views of the ocean, Table Mountain and Robben Island. Friendly service at reception and I was addressed by name everytime I left and returned to the hotel. Close uber ride to Eden on the Bay that has lovely restaurants although the hotel food was also good. Transfers from and to the hotel were arranged through the hotel which worked well and was very convenient. Extremely pleasant stay and I will not hesitate to book again. Thanks All especially to Bongani for his friendliness and efficiency.

Restaurant food - slow and poor quality ! The Tuna (very little tuna and mostly potatoes) salad was warmer than the pizza - the salad took 20 mins to arrive and the pizza was sitting on the counter ready 10 minutes beforehand - I decided to pay, I’d suggest to avoid the restaurant

Very neat hotel directly opposite the beachfront. The check in was efficient and the staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is on site, in the basement of the hotel. the rooms are very neat and seem relatively new. the best part is the excellent view you have of the beach. Whilst it does get windy, its a hop and a skip over the road to the beachfront. Awesome sunset - most of the rooms have the sea view.
