Best location in the world, excellent food upstairs but in serious need of love and refurbishment. Beds not moved when cleaning. My family member came face to face with a dead "roach" under the bed!!!

One simply cannot fault the Blue Peter Hotel, Blaauwberg. Best views ever, best pizza and foods to. Lively, wonderful atmosphere as well. Upstairs dining is awesome too. Try it, you won't be disappointed

Absolutely flabbergasted! Been there a number of times and loved it. Tonight there were major issues emanating from the kitchen. Every single table was complaining, sending food back and staging walk-outs. We ordered a burger and catch of the day. The burger was LITERALLY RAW! Every table around us was complaining. Patrons were angry and frustrated. The waitrons didn't seem to know how to do their job. The Maitre 'd was out of his depth. I must say, the entire evening unfolded as a comedy show of note. Not even Fawlty Towers could have staged the comedy of errors we saw there tonight. Felt so sorry for the front of house staff who were taking the fall for the kitchen staff. Blue Peter, get your act together or this type of service will kill you quicker than you can blink. You are skating on very thin ice.

This establishment has everything going for it, a great setting, great food and views, there pizzas are renowned. Great for families and the grass is such a nice place place to sit back. Exercises this time round to go to the upstairs restaurant. Bit disorganised after we made a booking. This and the fact there is no sourcing or fans and on this very hot day it was brutal i have 4 stars and not 5. Still a great place to visit

Tables were dirty, waiters was trying not to serve us, food quality not to the standard that I was use too for the past 15 years, sad to see such a iconic restaurant loosing its reputation. Don’t think I will come again or even refer people again

The service and food was unacceptable, I was given a rump steak in place of a fillet steak, I then ordered a pork sandwich which never arrived. my wife's chicken strips so over cooked you could not cut them. We never saw the chef. Even the menu is not as the web page showed and the new one is very poor compared to the original one, only one steak on offer? So please folks don't waste you time and money.

0 our of 1000 ordered praws and grilled pumpkin. Eventually after about an hour the waiter was in the area, asked him when can I expect the food, bly me he forgot to place the order. Sir, sorry but it will be quick. I asked to rather speak to the manager. He suggest some special, not sure if it was to be on the house. Again wired tok long and decided to leave. Only 2 tables occupied in the testaurant. Holiday makers choose wisely I really shouldn't suggest Blowfish as I would then never get a table. Food standard always the same, very good. Service varies but not bad. Avoid Blue Peter, only a drinking thought.

Took a friend to the world class site of the Blue Peter Hotel and ordered seafood curry with our beer. What a surprise to find chopped processed crab sticks in the curry. With all the fresh fish in Cape Town, why would a hotel even consider serving oriental processed white meat, mixed with corn starch and artificial flavouring as seafood in their seafood curry? Is fraud being perpetuated?

We dropped in for coffee, and for a business meeting, with the intention of having lunch. It was a good day and the view from the bar/dining area towards Table Mountain was absolutely breathtaking ! The coffee took a while to arrive (having had to summons a waiter first) and was rather underwhelming. We took a squizz at the plastic encursted lunch menu .. and decided to leave ... everything suddenly looked rather tired . We DID enjoy the view

I have been going to the blue Peter for 30 years. Seen three kids running on the lawn and jumping off the walls. Pizza and the best lamb curry and Iconic Hannibal my beloved waiter. But it needs to move with the times. Better wine list and an updated menu Pizza bases were cooked from scratch on the old days. Who is the owner of this iconic landmark. Step up and listen to the locals that have supported you for 30 plus years.
