A beautiful little guest house. Has a nice outdoor bar, great breakfast, and such friendly staff. Perfect location close to all the best restaurants and shops in Sabie. Would have given higher rating but they only takes cash.

We stayed here 2 nights on our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The hotel manager gave us lots of suggestions on where to drink and eat, all of which was just a few minutes walk away as Sabie is small and Ticino is right in the middle. Greg, the manager, also cooked us a fantastic meal one night, which we highly recommend.

We stayed at Villa Ticino in Summer 2016 at the start of our trip. I agree with what other reviewers say and the hosts are the outstanding feature of this guest house. We had a mix up with flights and arrived a day late. This was completely our fault (and the airlines) but when we explained Felix and Ute did not penalise us for that. Felix was determined that we should see all the highlights of the region and spent ages with my son and husband planning a tour with them. His local knowledge was invaluable and made sure that we know how to keep safe, the best places to eat and how to make the most of our shortened trip. He gave us advice about Kruger too! We loved the breakfast and the guest house, but most of all would just like to thank the hosts

This gets the best score for the hosts alone and the accommodation is a bonus. Rooms are spacious and have everything in that you could need/want. The place is spotless throughout. Felix is truly entertaining and has a lovely sense of humour and is a mine of information. We have never been made to feel more welcome and cared for. Villa Ticino is in the heart of Sabie so a short walk to the brilliant Wild Fig and Woodsmans for drinks and food, Sabie is a small and safe place to be but has loads of different eating and drinking venues just be sure to eat at Ticino for breakfast to see what Felix is cooking up.

The villa does offer only spacious rooms, but also a generous living room to relax sitting in front of the fire place or while reading or playing billiard & chess etc. Besides there is swimming pool and a balcony. And most valuable are the travel tips the friendly and very helpful hosts gave us. They really know their way around and can tell you where to go and what to see.

I agree with the previous reviews, this guesthouse is brilliant with hosts that can't do enough for you if you need them. They care so much about you having a good time, they helped us map out our way along the panorama route and gave us an ice box to keep our drinks cool. I would recommend the walk all the way up to God's window and The Potholes (which you pay for but worth it). All the waterfalls were lovely too. Few restaurants right by the guesthouse. The African Elephant was our favourite then the Wild Fig Tree. It's a small town but a good base and this guesthouse just made it. If I had to be picky I would say the breakfast could be a bit better, the fruit salad and chicken wrap wasn't great but they are open to making what you want.

Apologies for the late review but Villa Ticino is a wonderful guest house which we couldn't praise enough. The location is fantastic in a completely safe area and there are several good restaurants catering for all tastes within a few metres, in addition to a Spar. The welcome was outstanding and Felix and Ute really can't do enough for you. They are kind, considerate and thoughtful with a wealth of information on the area, even suggesting to visit God's Window on our way to the guest house because the light would be at its best. They gave us excellent information and maps and an ice box to take with us on our trip around the Panorama route, together with excellent advice on police scams and a card to take with us to show the police if stopped. Villa Ticino is a really interesting house and guests have free range to use it. Breakfast was supurb and served on a beautiful terrace. Our room was exceptional with a bathroom that I didn't want to leave! Sabie is a brilliant base to explore the area and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Don't think of staying anywhere else in the area.

I stayed for only 2 nights at the Villa Ticino but wished I could have stayed longer. The house itself is very spacious with large public rooms for a relatively small number of rooms. The bedroom was comfortable with an outdoor terrace. The comfort of the house is, however, surpassed by the kind attention of the hosts who do everything to make one's stay memorable down to plotting out a tour of the local beauty spots for a one-day drive. Thank you

An excellent central location for the attractive area, with very comfortable rooms & facilities. Hosts Ute & Felix are a mine of information so useful for tourists. Very convenient for walking in a safe environment both day & night to the nearby restaurants & supermarket. The Sabie golf & country club are also within walking distance. Both my wife & I have been four times now over the years and with good reason.

We started our journey with a stay at Villa Ticino. The owners Felix and Ute are fantastic hosts. Whatever question we had Felix provided the answer. He gave us a lot of valuable tips and also our first insights on life in South Africa. If you plan to stay in Sabie I highly recommend Villa Ticino.
