Property's Favourite Review
Beautiful surrounds and gardens. Staff friendly. Units adequately equipped and comfortable. Beautiful stream through property and braai places for each unit have been placed alongside stream which is really nice. Wood provided. Units are semi detached and unfortunately sound proofing completely inadequate. TV noises through wall distract from peaceful surroundings and become annoying. Neighbors conversations can also be heard although muffled.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review Vernon. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the surroundings, river and fire-pit. We are in the process of installing ceilings into the 4 berth units to improve sound-proofing as well as insulation. We hope you will visit again and be able to tell us that there is an improvement in the sound proofing. Best regards, Shawne.

We spent 4 nights at Sabi Star Chalets and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The hosst were very friendly and kept us updated via WhatsApp on load-shedding etc. Great TV channels and good wifi. The unit has everything we needed. We wouldn't have minded if the lounge chairs were a bit more comfortable - I think they definitely need replacing. But really not much else to fault. Loved our time there - quiet and beautiful.

The resort is approximately 3 km out of town on the Hazyview road. The accommodation is very good and the gardens is beautiful with the stream running through the property. There is a nice, clean swimming pool and if you want to you can take a 20 minute walk to the beautiful waterfall on the property. Definately the place to stay in Sabie. It is also close to Pilgrimsrest and all the waterfalls in the area. It is also very quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise etc.

I had great time visiting Sabie Star. The place is situated in a valley barely 3km outside the CBD. On my arrival the place was clean and the facilities was immaculate. I immediately felt at home. Easy access to the place from the main road and the views are to die for. You literally feel as if you are in the heart of a rain forest, with the river running through the facility the place is tranquil and even if you just was to stay in the amenities are suitable.

Beautiful place, lovely chalets in a gorgeous setting! Comfortable rooms, great shower and all amenities provided. A secluded little retreat by the river and set amongst the gardens with all the flora and fauna around. A great base from which to discover a beautiful part of South Africa!

Thank you for your wonderful review!! We are so well situated for exploring the escarpment and Lowveld and we really appreciate you pointing that out!! Often our international visitors regret only spending one night with us as there is so much to see and do, and then also enjoy our property to!! Thank you again for your recommendation!!

We had a lovely stay, we will definitely book again when we return to sabie. We would suggest that the property gets a generator for load shedding. We had no power for a couple of hours and couldn’t boil water for the baby, it was a mission.

Thank you for your great review!! We take note of your comment about the generator. We just wish you had asked as we do have gas facilities in the dining room kitchen and we would have boiled water for you with the greatest of pleasure. We are very pleased that you are looking at visiting us again and we look forward to seeing you soon!!

Our whole experience was excellent. From the moment we arrived until we left. They were very understanding with special needs and request. Despite the wet, rainy, cold weather they really "rolled out the red carpet". Breakfast was devine, and owner-made! THANK YOU!

We stayed over 1 night, the rooms are nice and cozy, lots of space for everyone and the most beautiful scenery, peaceful and tranquil. Kids loved the swimming area and the staff was excellent in the service and help they provided for the wedding.
