the place is environment friendly , gives you a breath away from noisy city . The river made us feel very home and the braai areas so romantic to braai in evening . May just clean walls and doors in bathroom and toilet when other guests depart.

Thank you for your great review!! We do pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the units so we did take your comment about the walls and doors seriously and have incorporated that into our daily check list. The braais are great for a romantic campfire aren't they!!

I am usually hesitant to book 3 star rated venues, but honestly Sabi Star is a rare gem. It offers value for money and you will not be disappointed by this venue. Surrounded by nature, beautiful gardens and a flowing river - for nature lovers this is a perfect place. The chalets are extremely neat, tidy and very clean. It offers great comfort and is nice and spacious. The kitchen area is well equipped with everything you need. The main bed is super comfy with great, clean, crisp linen. Water pressure for the shower and taps were great. Each chalet comes with its own private fire pit (free firewood is provided and stocked up each day). Staff are are super friendly and helpful. We stayed at No. 3. It was close to the pool and fire pit was right by the bridge where the river flows over rocks, so you could hear the river from the chalet. The best is they do allow pets and the owners themselves have loads of super friendly dogs.

The place is really nice, i definitely miss waking up to the sound of the river😍
House keeping is the best and the lady was very friendly, made sure we got anything we needed before she left. And for us who like to capture memories, there are beautiful views within the place to take beautiful pictures.
Very kid friendly with a nice open play area.
I m not a writter but this is one place were you can kick back, relax and write that novel. Or just read a book because it's not noisy at all.
Shops are very close to get anything from clothes to ice-cream 😋
Thanks again

The owners is very friendly and helpful. The chalet has everything you need and even more than what we expected. The cleaning staff clean on a daily basis. Your towels gets changed on a daily basis and the owners was so nice as to supply us with a gas bottle and kettle for when there was load shedding. This was very much appreciated. The gardens is well kept. The resort is beautiful. No noise except from the sound of the running water from the river which runs through the resort. This is very calming and makes you feel at one with nature. Will surely visit again. Didn't actually feel like returning home......

Thank You Sharon and Shawne for hosting us on Saturday night, what an awesome overnight experience. The Covid-19 sanitising protocols were well implemented throughout. Beautiful Chalets that are spacious and well set out, and the play area had the toddlers busy for ages! We highly recommend Sabi Star

Truly enjoyed our stay here. Nice location not far away from town, the place has a lower temperature compared to the surrounding areas that makes it deal location for summer as Mpumalanga is hot.. The chalets are next to a river flow which is so refreshing.

The resort is approximately 3 km out of town on the Hazyview road. The accommodation is very good and the gardens is beautiful with the stream running through the property. There is a nice, clean swimming pool and if you want to you can take a 20 minute walk to the beautiful waterfall on the property. Definately the place to stay in Sabie. It is also close to Pilgrimsrest and all the waterfalls in the area. It is also very quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise etc.

Our family of four (2 adults, 1 toddler and a baby) had a wonderful stay at Sabi Star Chalets! The owners also accommodated us with providing a baby crib for the little one, which was a great help!

The chalets are perfect and catered to our needs. The braai and surrounding areas are lovely and really a pleasure to spend time there and just enjoy the nature and sounds of the Sabie river.

Looking forward to visiting again in future.

We had a one night stay at Sabi Star, having come from Hoedspruit and on our way to St Lucia. It was ideal for our purpose, being very easy to find and reasonably close to the town. Check in included the Covid protocol and we were given an excellent Mpumalanga map. The rooms in the chalet were small but adequate and well equipped for self-catering. Everything was clean and neat. It was a cold night with frost in the morning, but a heater was provided that we used in the evening. Although we did not use it, the illuminated fire pit area was convenient, well stocked with logs, and with the sound of the nearby river. The Boma and swimming pool were a short walk away across the bridge. There was a water leak in the morning, but the staff found and fixed this before we realised that there was a problem.
Sabie is a good spot to enter or leave the Mpumalanga mountainous area. We found it good for shopping and enjoyed the short town centre self-guided walk.
If we are in the area again, we will take more time to explore, both at Sabi Star and in the Sabie area

Sabie Stat Chalets are situated in an absolutely lovely and beautiful setting. The soothing sound of a stream can be heard at all times. Our highlight was the braai we had in the magnificent private firepit. The chalet was spacious and conveniently furnished in style. Breakfast was delicious with freshly home baked flapjacks and croissants, fresh fruit followed by bacon and eggs etc. Thank you Francis. A warm welcome was extended upon our arrival and Shawne was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and advising on where to go. We will definitely go back there should our trip take us back to that area. Truly recommendable.
