Misty Mountain is a quaint holiday spot near Sabie. The views from the deck was great. The rooms in the hotel may be a bit dated but the bathroom was new and the rooms had a great view of the mountain range. The service and food was great. The staff was always willing to help and there is ton of activities to do on site with a short drive to Sabie

The main venue is great. The manager Mark, is exceptional. However a lot of work is required overhauling the accommodation. The rooms were really not great on any level - most notably the mattress’s, and pillows. Fireplace had holes, which allowed smoke into the room from the vent and everything is in need of a fresh coat of paint. The facilities were good, the gardens beautifully cared for, and staff looking after the toboggan experience were amazing too. All around great service however some attention is required from an accommodation perspective in our opinion.

Dear Ruggerob123, Thank you for your review. It would have been so much more helpful if you had spoken directly to us so that we could have identified exactly which room you were in, etc and that would have allowed us to give the necessary attention to that particular unit. Perhaps you can email that information to us? Nevertheless, I also wish to say that the last year has been a very difficult one for all of us in tourism. I am sure that you are aware of that. We have have been keeping our business going with money originally set aside for upgrades, but now redeployed towards meeting operational costs. We hope that we will be able to operate on full throttle in the not too distant future. With thanks and regards

Had a lovely time with friends at the restaurant after hiking the morning. Spectacular view and great coffee! I ordered the salmon trio salad. I was charged R80 for it. So beforehand I thought that it would be a nice hearty salad. I was really disappointed with what I received. Cannot believe they charged me R80 for it (see photo). The lettuce wasn’t even enough to fill my hand. The other food people ordered look nice. So if you going there, rather just order a burger and chips.

This place is simply beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and there is a lake on the property. There was also a hike " in the forest". The bed in the accommodation itself was massive and the room so spacious. There was also a cost fireplace with wood provided. The food at the restaurant was 4 stars In my opinion and breakfast, which was served in front of this infinity pool, over looking the rolling hills was also quite good. They no longer serve buffet breakfast but rather a course breakfast menu, which in these current covid circumstances is expected. I'm not sure who the person was but he waited in the restaurant and the breakfast service. His hospitality was exceptional. He was so polite and really took the time to make sure we and other guests were well taken care of. I highly recommend this place.

Great location, breathtaking views (make sure you book a chalet with a view) the central block with reception restaurant TV room was well maintained, one of the pools was under maintenance but the other one was ok and had great views, helpful staff. The chalet was well sized and nicely furnished, except the kitchen area. Very little cutlery and utensils, you would expect at least 4 of each but there were very few things. Also, it's listed as self catering but it only has a microwave and a small braai outside so you can't really cook (no stove or hotplate). Went to the restaurant only for breakfast (that was ok) so can't comment on that. Unfortunately we couldn't hike or do other activities because of bad weather, maybe need to visit again!
