We just spent almost a week here and can only say good things. The place is wonderful, the food very good, and the staff is absolutely friendly and kind, felt like family. Our flight was canceled and the staff managed to let us stay another night without having to look for another hotel. The view of this place takes your breath away. We had fun but we also relaxed. This place has everything you need if you want to take a break. We hope to be able to go back one day, and if we don't, this place will always have a part in our heart. Thanks to all the staff and the smiles that belize has given us ! Antonella and Ryan
We are so lucky to have found this resort, it truly is a Belizean gem and we could not have asked for a better experience! If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet island with amazing food (Chef Alex will take good care of you) and great staff, THIS IS THE PLACE! Prior to arriving, I had tons of questions for Carmen - she always answered promptly and all of the requests I had made were fulfilled when we arrived. On island, Carmen always made an effort to check in with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, she organized the excursions, check-in/out and was our go-to person on the island for anything. Her level of customer service was incredible. We did a snorkelling trip, tubing (motorized water sports) and a sunset cruise with Jairo and we enjoyed every minute of it. He also handled the water transportation on arrival and departure. Jairo always made us feel safe and truly made our excursions even better with his professionalism and knowledge of the area and the water. Excursions with Jairo are a must do when you come to this island! Roddy always greeted us with a friendly smile, answered any questions we had and he made us feel so welcome at all times! He had great cocktail suggestions and delivered an exceptional customer service experience for us. Moments we did not plan any excursions were spent kayaking, snorkelling around the island, paddle boarding or simply relaxing by the water. By the end of our trip we did not want to leave the island's tranquility and beauty. I would return in a heartbeat and would recommend everyone to stay here!…
From the moment we were picked up by Captain Bennie, Ishmael meeting us at the island dock with a rum cocktail then showing us to our cabin our visit was just perfect. The staff was just so lovely. Our cabin was clean and right on the Caribbean Sea. Great local food prepared by Chef Alex was a treat. Highly recommend taking the snorkeling boat trip with Captain Jairo. Pure joy. Kelly and Carlos answered all our questions. I can not say enough about the staff they all were wonderful. All meals were included in the price My friend and I came for a few days to relax knew nothing about where we were going and we loved every minute it of it. Would love to return Liz
My husband and I had our honeymoon primarily at Royal Palm Island and the staff there made it an absolutely unforgettable experience. Carmen worked so hard to make every excursion (we did cave tubing, water sports, romantic beach picnic, and hike to Mayan ruins) and request happen for us, Kelly handled most food and beverage expertly (her strawberry margarita will complete your island fantasy) and Jairo took us out for water sports when the water was too choppy for snorkeling and we had an awesome time. Being here means you are in very good hands. All of them work together to try and make your experience the absolute best it can be, it is a joy to get to know them. I even reached out to Carmen after our stay with a random question and she helped me figure it out. They go above and beyond. The food is also really good, the cabins are spacious for two and very comfortable, and even when you get some rain or wind it is still very beautiful. Hope to come back!…
The staff made this trip unforgettable. Carmen, Kelly and Jairo were the best and made us feel special from the moment we got on the island. Kelly and Carmen were attentive and treated us like family. They made the best rum punches on the island. There are kayaks and paddle boards you can use at your leisure. The staff will also catch sardines for you to fish from the beach. Any snapper you catch the chef, Alex, will cook for you. Jairo took my husband spear fishing to catch lion fish and crabs. This was his highlight of the trip. We also did the snorkeling excursion with Jairo and it was by far the best experience we have had. We saw tons of rays, eels, fish and turtles. I had no idea we would be snorkeling the largest living reef in the world when we booked the trip. The wifi is not the greatest but not a problem as it was good to disconnect for a few days. Lastly, the food was great. There wasn’t a meal we didn’t enjoy. We hope to make it back one day!!…
Wind down, relax and just enjoy this amazing location. We stayed 4 nights, great staff, very accommodating and available to answers any needs. The cottages are all on the beach but cleverly positioned so they are still very private. We had breakfast and lunch on the terrace with that amazing view and atmosphere. The food was fresh, local and simple but really well prepared. This place is ideal to wind down and just relax. Fishing, paddling and snorkeling when you want and how little or how much you want. The 3G and WiFi was sketchy but they are putting up a new Antenna for hoch may change that (it can be an advantage!). Highly recommended.
This trip was two years in the making (thanks a lot Covid). But we were happy to finally make it happen. The cottage was simple, but clean. A little dark at night, but why be inside unless you're sleeping? Steps to the beach out front and the bar in the rear. That's perfection. Staff were 100% great. The food was all good. Excursions were all organized well. The beach and areas around the island were mostly calm and kayaking was really cool. You can even snorkel and see some fish or go walk the beach on nearby island. Minor Problems: The Internet access was bad - don't come here expecting a working vacation. No music in the dining palapa makes for an awkward dinner when it's only a couple tables of people. Recommendations: Anything Jairo does will be fun - dude knows his stuff especially snorkeling. I would say only stay for 3-4 days unless you are heading off to an all-day excursion or two such a small island can get boring.…
My husband and I were amazed with everything about this resort! From the moment we stepped on the island, we were in love. It’s just breathtaking. The cottage was clean and inviting and we immediately felt at home. The Chef was amazing and we wanted to bring him home with us. Our favorite thing to do was take out the kayaks and explore all around the area. We saw some stingrays, almost daily, and I encountered a Sargassum Fish ( I had to look up what it was) and it was super cool! We actually had three days where we were the only guests on the island, and it was like our own little world. We can’t say enough about every one of the staff, they all made us feel special.
I stayed at the resort on my own after going in a retreat. It was exactly what I needed: paradise! The resort is carefully maintained everyday, the views are absolutely stunning! The cottage was clean and only a few meters away from the water. I swam everyday, explored around the island in a kayak. The staff is amazing, really responsive, helpful, happy. They all went out their way to meet my needs. Booked a spa treatment and one of the best massage ever! The food is delicious and the chef was very accommodating ! Really I will visit again and bring my family! Well done!!
My husband and I stayed for 5 days at the Royal Palm. It was majestic! The beauty of the water and quiet of the location was perfect for relaxing. Every need was taken care of by their welcoming staff. We could order all meals when we wanted, and lots of options to choose from. The bar drinks were refreshing as was the attention to detail. Carmen made sure our every need was met. The resort is clean and spacious. We snorkeled, kayaked, had a sunset cruise, massages and even took a trip to a near by island. It can’t imagine a better place to relax. The pictures do not do it justice.
