Estival Park Silmar Hotel garners mixed feelings among its guests. While its proximity to the beach and local attractions is praised, travelers have voiced concerns over service, describing staff as sometimes rude and unhelpful. The rooms and hotel atmosphere are often seen as outdated, with a need for refurbishment. Cleanliness is generally satisfactory, but the hotel's noise level and crowded pools can detract from the experience. Additionally, the value for the price is a point of contention due to extra fees and perceived lack of amenities.

My partner and I have recently returned from a week all inclusive at Estival Park. We had the absolute best time!! All the staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with queries. Food in the restaurants was amazing! Really high quality and a different variety each night. My only criticism is that each night seems to be a theme night and if you don't like that particular theme there aren't a lot of other choices (for example one night was seafood night and I struggled to find many options that weren't seafood). There is a hot food snack option by the bar downstairs and a side room where you can pour your own drinks and grab ice creams/cakes. I really liked the freedom of being able to get your own drinks in here. The bar charges €2 for cocktails which my partner and I thought was an extremely good price. They were really tasty and had a great variety too! We enjoyed these on an evening and had the free drinks during the day time. The pool area is lovely! There is a good variety of entertainment but you don't feel forced into joining in like you do at some hotels so this was really nice. The staff entertaining were really enthusiastic, which helped people to enjoy the experience even more. The pool itself is spotlessly clean and there are a huge number of sun beds and sun chairs. What I like about Estival is their no reserving sunbed policy, it gives everyone a chance to enjoy the beds and relax by the pool. The rooms were also spotless and the staff came back to check everything was okay in our room once we entered, which felt extra caring. Rooms are really spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom is really nice and provides shampoo/shower gel and a hair dryer which was really helpful. There was a good variety of evening entertainment but it can get very busy so I would advise arriving early if you want table/chairs for the entertainment. We accessed the spa pool area one day, which was absolutely amazing! So relaxing and a nice bit of variety from the main pool area. The hotel is in a fantastic location, really close to the local beach/strip but also only short bus rides away to visit other places for day trips. Overall we had an amazing experience at Estival Park and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

My wife and I and two kids stayed here in Aug, and we were placed in hotel 3. Like others I was apprehensive reading some of the very negative reviews however I needn’t have worried as on the whole the hotel is super for young families. The room allocated however was a slight disappointment. The duplex (family) room only contained two smallish double (?) beds, after requiring with reception it turned out the kids were expected to sleep on a sofa bed in the main living area. Not really a 4* room as others have said. It wasn’t a major issue for us however.

Also on our first night when we were all shattered after an early start, they located the evening’s entertainment in the cafe area below our room, so it was extremely loud. All other entertainment after that was in the main pool area however.

The pool was good and it was great you could help yourself to melon, drag pineapple etc and various drinks and snacks during the day. The food was fine, a decent range of stuff but some things tasted a bit off, but then I expect the Spanish have the same view when visiting the UK. Some of the food could be cold and some info inedible, however generally all of us could find something to each for each meal. If you visit the other hotel 1 & 2 restaurants the food is generally the same as hotel 3. The gym facilities were excellent. The evening entertainment was good, esp, the queen tribute group who were excellent (the lead singer truly did imbue the spirit of Freddie!). The Mongolian acrobats display is also worth a look. The beach is good too and the sea was lovely and warm. There’s a white cafe down there next to which you can hire umbrellas and loungers (25 euro for umbrella and two loungers), it’s worth the money on a hot day and you get two drinks included at the local cafe.

The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and professional, and the English and Spanish guests seemed to mix together well from what we could see.

We wouldn’t visit again as we typically don’t visit the same place over and over, but it is a great holiday location with younger kids at least.

And the TUI rep Annie-Marie was friendly and helpful.

Please do not listen to the reviews. This hotel is great and has everything you need. We have just got home after a fantastic week away as a family of 4 (2 adults , 2 teenage boys)
We were in hotel 2 which is the most modern of all the hotels and we had a duplex room which was perfect for us and really clean and spacious. The room is cleaned daily and if we needed anything reception we’re so attentive.
There is no need to get up early for sun beds we never had a problem getting any.
The food was great always something different and loads to choose from we ate at all 3 hotels. The snack bar is fantastic as well.
The rooftop pool was an added bonus it is adult only and there is a small charge for drinks but really cheap €4 for a wine and beer so it was a nice little treat.
We also enjoyed the spa as a family you get free access to the indoor pool with sauna, jacuzzi etc you just need to purchase a swim hat but it was worth it
The beach is great and literally on your door stop with shops , bars and restaurants
The entertainment throughout the day and night was great always something going on especially at hotel 1
All in all we had a great time and it’s taught me not to listen to reviews!

Got here at 12pm and was told I had to wait for my room as it wasn’t ready bare in mind I have a 14year old boy with adhd! When I kicked up a fuss they put us on top floor apartment where the apartment smelt horrible! Wasn’t offered a safety deposit box and when asked for one reply of the receptionist was I am not willing to speak to u!! The swimming pool which was located where my apartment was didn’t have no bar (we was all inclusive) and the main pool was always full when we tried to get a sun bed. Bought a float for the kids which they sold us but wasn’t aloud in the pool. Evening entertainment was 1 show per night at 10pm. Food was basic nothing to write home about. Water park has around 10 slides in and the que was horrendous! When they came in to clean our room they literally made our beds and gave us clean towels no cleaning was done. There’s one rep who is lovely and takes his time to talk and solve problems, the other one haven’t a clue.
If you have booked this hotel I strongly advise you to go to salou where we spent most of our evenings, as this hotel along with the others isn’t for family’s with teenagers.
This hotel should be a Spanish hotel as that what they cater for.

We booked this 2 years ago and it wasn't what was advertises. It was lovely the first day we arrive all staff was very helpful, don't get me wrong they've been great but when the Spanish arrive at the weekend it's all about them and the British are pushed aside.
I took it that the white band was self catering so when waiting to get a drink I seen people with orange band (all inclusive) having to wait as they were not paying and white band getting served first. no rings allowed in the pool. on the weekend Spanish use this hotel for short breaks and it's absolutely crazy there. We managed to get loungers by the pool one day and my phone rang, so we could all speak to my family via video call we went inside to see the screen better when we returned our towels was taken by the life guard and our beds were given to a Spanish family., I couldn't believe it.
I was late going for dinner 1 night having to sort a few things for work there was 15 min left, i was let in so grabbed a spag bol, just sitting down to eat and the manager told me they were closed, looking around there where white bands still getting food and eating, he stood there until I was so uncomfortable i left my food and the restaurant.
poor entertainment for children,
don't be fooled that you can use the indoor pool you have to pay and never a time slot to use the tennis courts as the hotel is also used as a leisure centre for the public.
there are 3 hotels, hotel 3 was shut so we stayed in hotel 2 but we had to walk to hotel 1 restaurant to eat every meal, it was absolutely packed hotel 2 opened their restaurant on weekends for the Spanish when they arrived on a Friday.
the entertainment is on a stage outside and starts at 10pm until 11.30pm not good if you need an early night
room was very clean every day

We stayed here between 15th and 22nd of May and I don't think I would book it again.

My main reason for saying this is the dining conditions, the food is overall pretty good, standard all inclusive buffet style but good variety and good quality. The issue is the queuing and the sheer number of people in the restaurant at the busy times. It turns out that during our visit, only the one restaurant was open to serve the whole site. Absolutely ridiculous. This is not helped by the fact that everyone is queuing for coffee in the morning and blocking all the access ways. Either upgrade your coffee machines or do what every other hotel does and give the servers jugs of coffee, then no one is queuing for coffee and maybe your servers will actually interact with guests.

We had virtually no interaction with any of the staff, this is a shame, one of the things I enjoy on holiday is chatting with the hotel staff and seeing the same faces around the site... not this time unfortunately... maybe they were too busy with the ridiculous restaurant situation?

The quality of entertainment was excellent and there is a good mix for everyone. The queen tribute were brilliant.

Choice and quality of snacks was good, thankfully as we skipped the restaurant more than a few times.

Room was clean, walls are thin... Next door woke us up snoring and you can hear people chatting at normal volume. Hairdryer kept cutting out. Bath and shower ran together, the tap needs replacing or repairing. Minor inconveniences.

Despite the hectic restaurant (have I mentioned the restaurant too much?) The pool was fairly quiet and plenty of sun beds for everyone. The animation team do a good job of getting people involved through the day. The beach is lovely and only a few minutes away and there are shops all down the front. The Italian restaurant on the corner does good takeaway pizza.

Having stayed and travelled at a lot of All Inclusive resorts and holidays I felt it fair to write a review on this hotel.

My Husband, I and our four year old have just returned from a week All Inclusive. We had a modern duplex room which was spacious - our negative with this was the lack of sound proofing so we did struggle to sleep at times. Cleaned daily with new towels beds made etc. The cleanliness of the entire hotel and resort was excellent.

The first two days we were there the main negative was that Retired Spanish are given a subsidised holiday which landed for part of our holiday. They have closed the main buffet to one hotel we were staying in the other and for us far too many people, too loud bashing into my child. Which did put us off and we didn't enjoy our food. However once they had checked out and the level of guests were at a much better level it became more enjoyable. The food was good and we always got something to eat. Snack bar was also always available so we certainly didn't go hungry.

The pools are clean, although cold at this time of year so a short walk took us onto a lovely golden sandy beach which was lovely. The sea was very clear and a warmer temp than the pool.

The kids club and entertainment is excellent - the best I have seen so we managed to grab a few child free moments on holiday which was great. The evening entertainment is absolutely brilliant and we didn't see a bad one yet! So anybody that moans about it needs their eyes and ears tested!

The spa included as many times as you want was also very very good. Excellent facilities again very clean. I booked myself my hair to get done for a trip we made to a Magic Show as House of Illusion and I was only 19 Euros so very reasonably priced. Highly recommend House of Illusion.

You can hire bikes at the hotel for 6 Euros for two hours per bike and the beach is lovely to bike along. Again very reasonable.

The staff were all friendly and helpful again I don't understand previous negative comments.

For us the only thing that would have given this 5 Stars would be better sound proofing in the rooms. And maybe not over crowd one restaurant as it's not enjoyable eating but I expect they are cost saving like everyone else just now. Also maybe add and A la Carte restaurant too.

So for us way more positives than negatives. We don't generally as a rule return anywhere but there is a lot to do here. My Husband enjoyed Scuba Diving for the first time, the House of Illusion. And the highlight for us PortAventura World was just amazing - highly recommend!!!

If you have booked I am sure you will have a great time!

Well done to the staff and hotel for a great job!

Booked this holiday last minute as we wanted a cheap and cheerful break in the sun with our 6 year old and it exceeded all expectations.

We were in hotel 3 and had an amazing holiday. I feel like I need to review this hotel because I saw so many negative reviews before going that I wasn’t sure what to expect. On arrival we were checked in promptly by happy helpful reception staff, we were on an early flight so our room wasn’t quite ready so we headed to the snack bar and grabbed a beer and some food before we got our room key. The snack bar is brilliant if you have kids with you, pizza, hot dogs, Chips, burgers, toasties, salads, fruit, walls ice creams available pretty much all day every day. My 6 year old loved the crisps and nuts that were available and the reusable plastic
Cups for drinks are a brilliant idea (nice to see a
Big hotel group doing their bit for the environment)

Our room wasn’t huge but big enough for the 3 of us, nice balcony and the shower was always hot. Roomed cleaned daily by maids who always smiled and said hello when you passed them.

The restaurant was fabulous, so much choice, they have regular theme nights and the Mexican one was amazing. There is always pizza / pasta/ chips etc available for the pickier eaters or kids but i recommend trying some of the paella and seafood available cos it tastes sensational. Some of the staff in the restaurant are a
Little miserable looking but are always helpful and given they work 15/16 hour days and are always busy I would imagine they are exhausted.

We loved the pool area it never felt too crowded, you always managed to find a sun lounger or two even if you weren’t an early bird down to the pool. The foam
Party on Saturday was the highlight of our holiday, it was great fun and took me back
To holidays of my youth!

The evening entertainment was ok most evenings, kids love the mini Disco and Queen are not to be missed as they are brilliant.

Hotel is in a greet
Location as it’s just a few
Minutes into the centre of
La Pineda and the beach .

We would come back to this hotel with no hesitation and the staff deserve real praise
For how hard they work all
Day everyday .

The hotel was slightly dated but it didn't bother me. The rooms were of a decent size, TV and Fridge in the room. Large beds, clean bathrooms. Water temperature does fluctuate so be careful of it heating up randomly.
Rooms cleaned each day.
We were directly opposite one set of lifts. Can be noisy once the evening entertainment finishes and the loud people retire for the night. Not the fault of the hotel at all - if only people could be a little more considerate!
Breakfast was always good. Hot fry up style buffet on offer, cereals, bread, etc. Personally with all meals I limited myself to just have say cereal one day and then fried the next day. This way the meals are different rather than a meal with a bit of everything, causing your meals to be the same every day!
Drinks are self service, I like a coffee with my lunch but this is not available during lunch or dinner!
Pools areas are walled off in each hotel so seems a little enclosed. Good luck finding a lounger. Towels need a 10 euro deposit on day one from pool 1. Towels can be exchanged each day - towel cards are not issued.
There are no outdoor bars here, you need to cover up before entering the hotel areas. They tend to not make cocktails here. Stuck to spirits and mixers and the soft drinks/coffees available from the self serve. Walls ice creams were available.
Used the indoor pool. You need swim caps for all. Bring from home if you have them. Kids loved the Jacuzzi sections and the massage areas.

Beach is a short walk away and very shallow to start. Great for the kids. No sun loungers as it's a public beach.

Waterpark is included in the price, again a short walk away. We had to ask for the voucher from reception which we exchanged for bands for unlimited access.

I haven't revisited a Hotel so far, so will not be back. Don't think I would recommend to a close friend/relative either. Just think there are other places with better service such as cocktails, more outdoor bars, better range of food etc.

Been several times before but really do t think I will be visiting again! The way one of the bar men spoke to me on several occasions was unacceptable, very rude. The mini disco & activities for children have gone diwnhill & the kids club awful, 1/2 of it was closed & some of the girls were so miserable at the end of the day I paid for 2,weeks all inclusive which I’ve done several times but the changes are not good. I found a lot of the Spanish people were very ignorant & rude & definitely got preferential treatment at the hotel. On the upside we stayed in hotel 2 & our room had been modernised & it was so much nicer to stay in & the lovely walk in shower, but then I didn’t pay well over £2000 for a nice room & shower as we didn’t plan on staying in the room much. Hotel 3 was closed & part way through our stay they closed the restaurant in hotel 2, do it was 2 hotels with 1 restaurant which lead too big queues for food by the time you got to sit down & eat it was cold. Shame really as we always came back because we loved it but this time was a real disappointment 😞😢 & don’t feel that it’s of a 4 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Standard anymore
