Beautiful lodge and setting. Enjoyed the thoughtful little extras. Felt the breakfast basket was expensive for what was included. But all in a wonderful weekend away. Particularly enjoyed the beautiful settings and hearing and seeing curlew and cuckoo.

Glamping on another level ! Comfy beds, rugs, throws, log burner, fabulous outdoor kitchen but also a cafe serving good food virtually all day- views to die for, with a spa just down the road- what’s not to love- and staff who seem to have ‘above and beyond’ as their mantra for customer service. Have recommended to all my friends and family.

Great rustic adventure for the family. Beautiful location, loads of adventures for the kids around Druids temple, great hot tub in the trees and staff at the Bivouac cafe couldn't be more helpful....sure we'll be back again!

A trule blissful stay in the Tree lodge at Swinton Bivouac. Ticked all the boxes for my family especially hot tub, plentiful supply of wood, delicious food at the Bistro and the most beautiful view from the veranda. Some lovely touches too including presents for my 2 boys, a happy birthday banner for my boy (who had a irthday while we were there) and lots of lovely blankets to keep us cosy.

We surprised our 3 children with a weekend away in a tree lodge. They had seen them on amazing hotels and said how awesome they looked so I secretly booked it. It did not disappoint. Swinton Bivouac is surrounded by spectacular scenery, from rolling moorland to forests and a reservoir. There is so much to explore before you even get to your lodge. The tree lodge looked exactly as in the photos, the fire had been lit both in the lodge and the hot tub. They had left 3 paper bags on the table for the children with coloring pencils, word search and pictures and a scavenger hunt card. Another bag had a s’mores kit in and a bar of swinton estate chocolate for my son. It’s the little touches that made this trip so special and memorable for us all. The happy birthday bunting hanging from the beds and the flask of hot chocolate waiting on our veranda when we came back from dinner. These are memories that my family and I will have forever and we will definitely be returning.…
