The SPA area is great, they offer some treats thorough the day. The pool is fantastic, especially the part where is outside on the fresh air. Great concept to be able to have lunch in the Bistro in your bathrobe, the menu is good.
The room is fine but could be more cosy with the carpet on the floor. The bedding is very poor and uncomfortable, the pillows are old and the duvet had pieces of feather...very old as well. Needs some changes! Cleaning Staff are very helpful.
The service in the restaurant is exceptional. The food is delicious especially the buffet. However we did not understand the concept of the menu, its too complicated and the tastes are not matching all the time.
The Bartender was ok, but no flair. Drinks are expensive.
Overall its a great place if you would like to relax and get disconnected from the busy World.
The hotel exudes an atmosphere of luxury and well-being that is reflected in every detail, from the warm welcome from the friendly staff to the impeccable cleanliness and stylish design of the facilities. The spa area is simply outstanding and the rooms are also impressive.
The dining experience in the hotel restaurant was also first class. The chefs treated us to a selection of delicious dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The service staff is also extremely friendly and attentive. They always listened to our wishes and ensured that our stay went absolutely perfectly.
Highly Recommended!
Thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable vacation!
In the spa we could never enjoy the bubble bath, since the machines were never running. All the watches had a different time. Honestly. that cannot happen in a 5 star hotel. The garbage in the garden was overfilled and was not emptied for days. There was no staff around to help with moving parasols or sun beds. The only place where you could fresh towels was at the spa reception, which closed at 6 or 7 pm, so it was impossible to get a fresh towel after an evening swim.
I asked the waiter at dinner, if I could have more small fresh bread and he said it is not possible due to Covid-19 restrictions. I told him that I got it from the waiter on the previous evening. He said it was not possible and left. I followed him to the entrance of the kitchen, where I heard him complaining loudly about me to his colleagues. This is not acceptable! Never!
The staff is friendly but inexperienced and the hotel is understaffed what resulted in long waiting periods (Especially in the Bistro).
The SPA area is nice and has a great view. Most of the time there is no staff in the pool area. There is only Water (Tab and with citrus) and tea (Hidden away) available in the SPA area.
The COVID measures were not really enforced by staff at the restaurant so especially in the buffet area were a lot of people ignoring the desinfectand/gloves.
The Food was a mixed bag of mostly uninspired fusion dishes. A couple of the dishes were fine, a view were really good and a good bunch was bad. The breakfast buffet was ok, not 5*, but ok.
The Coffee on the room is 0,90€ and not included. The bed was worn out.
All in all this is a very expensive hotel that does not met our expectations of a 5*
One more thing: Adult Only means 14+
Note: we were promised that the problems would be solved and we were partially refunded.
Upon arrival, we were given an early check-in and late check-out, which was an included service with the room. We have the second most expensive room (spa suite with sauna, room number 433).
Service: At breakfast, I asked for my cutlery to always be placed on the left side because I am left-handed. The first evening, the staff took this into account, but not the second evening (I had to do it myself while the staff watched). I also found the service staff in the restaurant to be arrogant and unfriendly. After the first night, I requested a different pillow on the iPad in the evening, but I did not receive it and was apparently ignored.
The room: There was mold and dirt deposits, as can be seen in the photos. A socket was broken and four ceiling lights in the bathroom did not work. The scales were broken (replaced), there was no kettle or tea bags in the room, but they were provided when I asked.
Wellness area: The water in the two outdoor pools was a bit too cold for me at 34-35°C, especially since it was even colder outside. In the wellness area, plaster was coming off the ceiling, in the sauna area one shower was blocked and another was broken but not blocked off.
I wonder how such defects are possible in a five-star hotel in the Falkenstein chain. Even in a three-star hotel in Croatia, I have never seen anything like this. As an experienced traveler, I have to say that this experience disappointed me as a customer and I lost trust in the five-star Falkenstein hotel.
The food is good and tasty. I might have found it nice if there had been a small dessert buffet in the evening, as in other houses of the chain. So you could have got another cupcake or a scoop of ice cream extra. Once, in addition to dessert, I wanted a scoop of ice cream at our nice waitress, which was also fulfilled immediately. The lunch we also found very good and also the area where it is served is very welcoming.
Staff at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful, especially at reception.
We also used the bike rental service. This is very convenient for exploring the beautiful surroundings. You can also rent a mini-convertible. A nice idea and is for the 1. Hour even free.
The bar with outdoor terrace is also great. The cocktails were delicious and the bartender very nice.
The wellness area is also beautifully designed with 2 pools and a nude or sauna area where there is another Jacuzzi.
Everywhere in the hotel you can also take water and tea for free, which is very convenient.
The rooms are very spacious. We had a deluxe room with the slightly nicer view of the countryside. The furniture may already be a little older. But the bathroom is very nice and new. There is enough space on the balcony and in the room and plenty of storage space. Also the air conditioning has cooled the room very well. It is also great that there is a minibar, which is refilled after 3 days.
We stayed in a time where it was generally very quiet in Burgenland, also in the
Hotel. We really enjoyed it and found the area with the many fruit and vegetable plantations just great. We can absolutely recommend the place and thank you very much for the hospitality.
Unobtrusive, very friendly staff
Spacious room, great facilities
Wellness area very loosely divided.
There is a lot of space, the guests are very well distributed throughout the area
The hotel's strength is the beautiful garden and the new Parma culture concept.
The cuisine is described as a synergy of local, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, offering an exquisite dining experience.
The spa is a very welcoming and well-kept environment. Janos, the spa manager, is a very cheerful and professional person who guides the spa team in a very gracious and friendly manner.
The rooms are clean down to the smallest detail and spacious, with wonderful views of the surrounding green hills.
I recommend a stay at the hotel to immerse yourself in the heart of the spa concept, a return to the essential values with great splendor and sensitive closeness of the staff.
A big thank you to everyone who made this experience special.
