Detailed Reviews
We were on our way North and enjoyed 1 night at the Flamingo. Laia on reception was very friendly and helpful, our side view room had a great view towards the port and marina and the hotel was warm, clean and comfortable with free wifi. Parking was underground, behind two metal gates and felt very secure. We changed to 'half board' and our meals, although plain, were enjoyable and tasty. Service in the restaurant was good. We had a very good breakfast with the best fried eggs I have seen anywhere!
Dinner, bed and breakfast, with parking, came to 158 Euro which is good value.

I was surprised in positivio, the photos I saw do not do it justice, the perfect room, with beautiful views, with details that I have not found in other 4 stars hotels, such as the welcome water, the large bottle of gel in the shower or a hairdryer that dries! The breakfast of 10, shows you that less is more, it is not a great buffet, but everything there is great and quality, bread, coffee, and natural orange juice!
The pool small but simple with few people and very quiet.
The staff very friendly, the bar outside very nice at the level of views and where you can eat super well, the food was delicious.
In short, it has been a discovery, and we will surely repeat it.
(I regret some criticisms I have read here, they are not real at all and are very unfair)

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in a junior suite with an amazing view of the marina to the left and open sea directly in front.
Breakfast was very good with enough options to satisfy our 12 night stay.
The staff were all cheerful and every request made was dealt with promptly.
I was surprised by the fair pricing of drinks and food.
An excellent all round 4* hotel

Room not clean,.!
Large layer of dust on all surfaces-
Old sock next to bed, slime on the wale and on the mirrors
Wifi signal close to non existing, an old non commercial router placed in the middle of the reception. So for work you need to sit in reception for a signal, not a good place if you have planned to do some work on a device.
The breakfast balcony looks like a backyard on a ghetto.
Hotel general outdated.
The 4 stars rating was maybe opening day.

Response from Marta Marchena Suarez, Atención al cliente/recepción at Hotel Flamingo
Responded 12 Aug 2021
Dear Mr. Krag, first of all we are thankful for your comments, so they help us to improve day by day, but I would like to comment that, as you have said, the sock from the previous guest should never be there, and for that reason one of our housekeepers apologized for all the inconveniencies, cleaned all your room again, and we also made a discount in your dinner at the hotel terrace. But we want you to know, that with all the worldwide pandemic situation that we are living, our reakfast terrace is very appreciated for our guests because they avoid closed places. As you had seen, it is an open-air place with plants, tables and chairs, keeping security distance, and we have never ever had negative comments about this area. Many of our guests are charmed with this terrace. Our Covid19 measures, may seem uncomfortable and some time too excessive, but our guests are pleased to feel safe during they accommodation in our hotel and also on their retourn back home. About our WiFi system, it is provided by a local company who works with other hotels, and it has installed routers in each floor and side of the corridors, so it means 2 routers per floor, apart from the ones that we have in the hall for the reception for our internal use. So we think as we are talking about machines, sometimes they can fail, you should have advised us about your WiFi problems so we can solve it on that moment. Anyway, I would like you to understand that we are recovering, and we are still on it, from a global pandemia, and it hasn't been easy for the hotel industry and we know that there are some aspects that we have to improve, but we fight daily to have our guests happy during their accommodation, and so they leave our hotel charmed and with a positive opinion of us. And we ensure you that we fight hard, and although sometime we do not reach it, most of times we made it. Finally, we would like to tell you that we are a young team who works very hard and our main porpouse nowadays is that our guests enjoy they stay in our hotel and in the Ebro Delta and they go back home safe. Best regards,

I have been this weekend that is, April 6 and 7, 2024 and the only good thing I can think of is the good location, the rest is nowhere to be found, let me explain:
They brag about a 4 star and I give it 3 and it's fair, it has a mini bar and inside there are 2 sad small bottles of water that in Mercadona cost 0.20 cents and nothing more, in the bathroom there was only a shower cap, don't put 2 lest are ruined and three mini klinex, nothing more, no toothbrushes and toothpaste, no combs or a sponge to clean shoes, nothing at all. The pool is a separate mention, it is super small, nothing to do with the photos and last but not least I made the reservation in my name, I paid with my credit card and they come and make me an invoice in my husband's name , but this is, how you think I have felt, what a shame that I realized when it was no longer there, SHAMEFUL, never go.

Well located hotel, quiet, facing the sea.A small and quiet cove just across the street and other beaches 3 minutes walk, all gravel and sand. Strange that they have closed the access roundabout and there are, to climb the bags up a steep slope
Correct common areas
Cold reception staff and no desire to help
I didn't use the parking lot for reading that it was complicated. In the middle of, September I parked easy very close
Spacious room. Good air conditioning. With refrigerator but no coffee maker. There were no slippers or bathrobes. Large safe. Good closet. Correct bed, upgradeable pillows. Desk area. Flat TV "no smart" with national and international channels. Pleasant balcony with table, chairs and sea views. Full bathroom, with complements and bidet, somewhat dark. Good cleaning
Bad WiFi
Dogs allowed for 15 €
Restaurant with improved cuisine
Good breakfast, with fried eggs, scrambled, tortilla, bacon, longaniza, cold cuts, bread, pastries, juices, fruits, cereals, coffee "nespresso"...
We do not use swimming pools
Good value for money

I wanted to thank the human quality of the hotel management and the staff who work at it. In our stay my husband had a very serious health problem that caused them to tip over at all times with me giving me their full support. An example of this is that I was not charged the last night of the stay or the lunch of my relatives who came to find me the next day. That is why I appreciate all this support that unfortunately many times today is not seen elsewhere. It is already the fourth time we have stayed at your hotel and I hope it can continue to be done if circumstances in the future allow. The road ahead is going to be long and complex and I hope it will improve in the near future. Thank you very much to all the staff.

Hotel located 30 meters from the sea and 5 minutes from the port and city center, very clean, with well-organized rooms with comfortable beds, opportunity to park both inside and behind the structure. The only negative point is the soundproofing of the rooms, which is almost non-existent. Friendly and helpful staff. The structure on paper is a four star, but due to some small details that catch the eye of an expert in the hotel sector it seems like a 3 and 1/2 star.

We stayed at The Flamingo at the end of October/beginning of November so it was out of season. The staff seem to work long hours with the same people serving breakfast and then working in the restaurant and bar in the evening. They were all very helpful and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for lunch but that was not signposted anywhere, which would have been useful to know. The restaurant’s food was good overall, but in the two weeks that we stayed there the menu didn’t change at all, and it was quite limited. There were plenty of places to choose from to eat in the town however, so it wasn’t a great concern.
The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The room rates were very reasonable.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. Beautifully clean rooms , a great choice at breakfast. Only issue was that we had messaged via booking com and telephoned to check it was ok to bring a German shepherd dog. Both responses were yes but on arrival we were told dogs only upto 10kg,but advised the hotel would make an exception in this case.
We had a lovely side sea view room 218.The view was amazing. Our dog stayed on the balcony most of the time. He never barked at all and didn't disturb any other guests. I hope the hotel now appreciates that bigger dogs are no more trouble than small dogs or some of their human guests! We had a lady above us smoking on her balcony although it is a no smoking hotel. I hope that out of season they be flexible with their pet policy as we would love to revisit this hotel.

Response from Hotel Flamingo, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Flamingo
Responded 19 Oct 2024
Dear guest, We thank you very much for your comments, as they help us to improve every day a little bit more. We are sorry for the inconvenience with your pet. The hotel has a policy to take pets under 15 KG and with an extra supplement. While it is true that out of season we usually make exceptions with our customers, although you have to understand that sometimes they tell us that they have a weight and actually triples the weight reported. We do have to have some rules, but we would be delighted to see you and your pet again. Best regards, Management Dept.
