We enjoyed our short stay in the Cedar Vista motel. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the accommodation simple, inexpensive and very comfortable. The motel is a short 15 minute walk from Tobermory's beautiful harbour. We are happy to strongly recommend the Cedar Vista motel to anyone visiting this lovely part of Ontario. Svetlana and Duncan

Very friendly, helpful managers. The lady even suggested alternative walking directions to the marina, minimizing staying on Hwy 6. There was also a bbq grill that guests can use. The room was decent, with a fridge, coffee maker, a table and a couple of chairs we could use for meals. A microwave is available for use in the office. There was one case though where we had to follow up about clean up. Understandable though because it was a busy time and we were embarassed as well since we did make a couple of messes/accidents.

I booked 4 rooms (2 rooms with Double Beds + Kitchenette; 2 rooms with 1 Queen Bed) for my whole family. There were 12 of us, just for 1 Saturday night. This is a family-friendly, clean motel. Location is short walk to Tobermory harbour and to experience other attractions. Though it was along Hwy 6, we found it peaceful and quite. Parking is right at your door, easier unloading and loading. We enjoyed our stay. Kuerig machine /coffee available in the rooms. It was relaxing ambiance sitting in colored chairs at the front yard. Bonus was, we were able to do our BBQ, eat on picnic table, gathered around a pit fire, roast marshmallows at the backyard (we bought our woods from neighbor convenience store) Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. If you have younger kids, with the kitchenette works best. Thank you, Wendy and Terry. Overall, t'was an amazing experience.

Wé stayed here 2 nights. The room is spacious and very clean. You will find a mini fridge, a/c and the beds are super comfortable. The little couple that owns the place are the sweetest and nicest people. They are very welcoming and friendly. Now as for Tobermory in terms of food you will find plenty of fish and ships restaurants unfortunately if you are looking for more you will have to go to another city. The big down for me is the coffee places. A simple medium size cappuccino is 6.89$ so make sure to bring some instant coffee you will find a kettle in your room or you can buy some at the little grocery store in the center on Bay street.Keep in mind most stores restaurants close pretty early. You will find BbQ in the back of the motel if you prefer to cook and also a fire place . BRING YOUR OWN WOOD. As for the sightseen the Grotto you must have a reservation due to safety measures due to covid.the center is about 10 minutes walk.

This is a family owned and operated motel. Hospitality was great! We stayed in room 1 which was very clean and sleeps 5 comfortably. It has a small fridge, A/C, TV and Wi-Fi. We enjoyed the large fire pit in the backyard and had other guests join us which was fun.

Very clean motel. The owners are very kind and helpful. Fridges in the room is a bonus. Free coffee and treats in the morning. Very comfortable. A short 10 minute walk to the town or easy to drive. Nice gem of a place.

This small motel is run by the most friendly family! We stayed in room one - two double beds, AC, TV, and a refrigerator. Wi-Fi was great! Ample room for our 2 adult, 2 giant teen family! Room was super clean, beds were firm and comfortable. Had a great sleep - very quiet! Coffee in the morning is offered in the reception area! Some other guests had a campfire in a fire pit behind the motel! Great base for exploring Tobermory and area! You can easily walk to the downtown area in <5 minutes.

The owner triple charged me for 1 nights stay. I would defiantly not recommend staying at this establish, it is not worth the trouble. I originally called and booked a room for 2 nights, when I arrived he told me he did not have the reservation and he only had 1 room available for 1 night, even so I was happy to take it. Today I found out that he charged me 116 dollars for July 4th (which is a night that I did not even stay at this location) and 266 dollars on July 5th, which is not the price that was agreed upon.

The owner is really kind and loving. The room is way better than what I had seen in pictures while booking, it's spacious, there is a kitchen and the bathroom is new and clean. The location is excelent, less then 5 min drive to the city center, restaurants and tours. It was really confortable to stay in the hotel, on the yard there's tables in the sun so you can have breakfast outside. Parking is in front of the room and check in and out was really simple and easy. Loved it!

Anya and her husband own and operate this motel. Anya welcomed us and provided information about restaurants and the ferry. She was friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and neat. The room and bathroom were small but adequate. Wifi is provided. The Motel is a 5 minute drive to the ferry. The motel’s rates are very reasonable.
