Everything was great, probably the best experience in Maldives so far. We enjoyed a ten days stay in a beach villa in May. The staff was very friendly and helpful, trying to satisfy all requests with a smile. The food was very good and the SPA even better. Thank you all at JA Manafaru for our holiday!

Everything was almost to perfection, the only comment I can make which we were told they are working on is the domestic transportation scheduling. The time slots are very limited and in order for us to make our flight we had to wake up at 2am to take the boat trip and then wait for an hour for the domestic flight to make it to the international airport. Other than that the whole experience was amazing, the activities offered are not very limited and our scuba instructor from Best Dive, Tibo was absolutely amazing and professional, I highly recommend taking the scuba experience with him as he made my wife and I's first scuba diving and unreal experience.

Dear Happy Guest, Delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and experienced such amazing moments both on land and underwater... one of the things I love about our location, being the most northerly resort in Maldives is that when you are diving or snorkelling or any off island adventure... you likely have your own private experience... no one to disrupt or bother... just you and miles and miles of peace and tranquility... Thank you for sharing your experience. We always try to help our agents and guests (when asked) to ensure they book the best inbound and outbound international flights to maximize the time on island given the approx scheduled Domestic flight patterns likely available and for departure we would normally recommend an evening flight to maximise time on the island. Apologies if this was not clear in your case, if our team was asked by the agent or your good self as like any country we have to work with the airline carriers schedule timings. Another option for guests who want a more door to door service is to reserve a private charter seaplane, which may (depending on the international timings) have a little more flexibility for a families needs. However check in times remain the same for all flights sadly. Thank you again for sharing your experience and wonderful to know overall you enjoyed your time on our little paradise and hope to welcome you back in the near future. with gratitude, Karen on behalf of Soodh and the entire JAM Family

The booking process was horrible. Many missed and incorrect information, unreturned calls, and a lot of delays in getting confirmation with the booking. I booked 3 weeks in advance and only got the confirmation of booking less than 4 days before the trip, this included the confirmation for the domestic flight. I have fully documented all my correspondence in emails to show as proof. I can provide the names of all the reservation staff that I was communicating with. When we arrived at the resort, the host informed us that it was a bed and breakfast deal we booked, although in my booking (and I HAD TO SHOW proof) we booked an all-inclusive package!. This clearly showed another miscommunication between staff/ booking team of JA Manafaru. The worst mess-up was we were informed that they couldnt get us in a domestic flight to Male on our supposed departure date from the resort. The reason was the flights were full and we should have had provided our domestic flight schedule 7 days before according to the staff. But we were not be able to do that simply because the JA Manafaru team only confirmed our domestic flight less than 4 days before the trip! (again I have full documentation and email to prove this). This resulted in us having to cancel our Emirates flight going Male-Dubai and had to buy a new one with another airline just so we could get home to Dubai on time. We stayed an extra night and spent USD 2k extra on the flights.

Dear Sir, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your experience... it is always helpful to understand what we can do better as/when an error is made and how we can improve and although distressing for all involved, thankfully is not indicative of the majority of our guests experiences now or over the years. As mentioned separately, my sincere apologies for the delays in the responses from our team, this must have been both stressful and upsetting and the reason once the team were aware of the shortfall in service prior to your arrival an upgrade to one of our bespoke Residences was provided for the duration of your stay with us stay. Unfortunately, as you know despite the various efforts of the Manager looking after you and as we had not physically received your international departure flight information prior to your arrival into Maldives, we were unable to secure domestic flight departure seats. This was in part due to the seven-day lead time requirement by the operator to book flights, which in turn compounded by the Eid holiday volume. We were grateful for your suggestion to change your flex international flights to travel the following day and were happy to offer an additional night’s stay on the resort with our compliments on the all-inclusive meal plan so we could assist with the available departure seats. As you may or may not know the manager managed to secure these seats by holding back two of our associates who were due for outbound travel, but under the circumstances they were happy to help. Once again, my sincere apologies for the challenges experienced and that the efforts and gestures by the team to resolve the original reservation error or assist with your departure did not meet your expectation. Sincerely, Karen Merrick General Manager

Where do I start?! We visited as a family of 3 on our long awaited honeymoon. The sunset water villa was incredible. The views were breathtaking and the villa had everything you would want. We did request an iron which was left in the room for us to use as we needed for the rest of the stay, which was appreciated. Food: absolutely fabulous. Everything was so fresh and fantastically cooked. My daughter, age 9 with a milk allergy, was well catered for. In fact, she was asked daily what she preferred and was always accommodated for. Everything is so well thought through. The games room is well equipped and spotless. There was so many extra little touches that made the holiday even more special. My daughter particularly loved scouring for hours trying to find hidden bottles hidden by the resort. Bikes are provided in your villa, in which we loved to use. Snorkelling equipment was free to hire and immaculate. The staff are just the most caring, professional and fun people we have met. We genuinely are missing them whilst back at home. We are hoping to be back for Easter 2023 and hopefully everything will be just as perfect as it was this year.

Dear Happy Family, Smiles all around on the island that the time with us was everything you hoped for and more... delighted you are returning for another adventure in 2023! We are truly grateful. I can fully understand any concern about coming back to us for a second time, however as we have guests on their 6th, 7th and even 15th time with us, hopefully we are doing something right and as the team both new and old understand our direction and our ethos of "WHY?" hopefully we can continue in our positive and joyful direction. we look forward to welcoming you back to the island for more pirate bottles, easter bunnies and chicks! warmly and on behalf of the team, Karen

JA Manafaru is beautiful island with an incredible house reef. The snorkelling was fabulous and equipment all complimentary. We took a Scuba Diving excursion which was such a great experience. The service was second to none with all staff really making a genuine effort to please. The food was also delicious with a buffet style breakfast and different options to eat for lunch and dinner. We particularly enjoyed the Easter journey event put on by Karen and her team which was great fun for all. We stayed in a overwater villa which was of a good size and clean with great housekeeping, the infinity pool was great and the snorkelling from the villa was also great. Our host Imran was fabulous, available via WhatsApp and booked all our dining and trips for us. He was an excellent host and his impeccable service really made the holiday stand out. A real nice touch was to meet all of the team when we arrived in the resort and have a tour of the island. All of the management team made a great effort to chat with us about there journeys & were in no rush to move on. The bikes were also a great idea and a great to see the reduced use of buggy’s. The only downside is the timing of our inbound flight (EK658) which meant it took 8 hours from leaving Male arrivals to arriving to JA Manafaru. 8 hours to travel 320km is something which would put us off coming again although we soon forgot about this when we started our holiday at the resort. The outbound flight tied up a lot better (EK657). If the seaplanes were used again we would definitely be a lot more eager to come back. All in all a fabulous holiday.

Dear Happy Guest, Thank you kindly for the lovely review and we are incredibly pleased to have you with us and that you enjoyed your vacation in our little paradise. The Easter journey is such fun and we do a larger scale version on New Years Eve... lot's of effort put in by everyone, but lots of fun and we love hearing the giggles as you make your way around the island and thank you so much for taking part! The waters around JA Manafaru are teaming with marine life and we are constantly encouraged by the increasing diversity surrounding the island including our resident nurse sharks that make a nightly appearance at Stingray Jetty. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the transfer to the island... and if I may i would like to help a little further understanding about how this works for outlying resorts : ) We always do our best to guide guests on the best international flights to book to reduce waiting time at the airport... however like all resorts there are scheduled domestic flight slots to the nearest airport and current requirements are check in of a minimum 2 hours before departure for internal Maldives transfers for either domestic (or seaplane... which if there is availability is usually in the late afternoon for Northern routes). EK 658 lands at 0930hrs (if it's on time) and depending on what time Guests exit the arrivals hall after immigration/baggage dictates their onward connection. In our case it usually means guest are being checked in within the two hour check in requirement for their onward Domestic flight as the flight schedule is usually between midday and 1pm. Arriving on the island usually between 2-3pm depending on the actual domestic flight take off and landing. Either way it's important to note that JA Manafaru is reassuring far from Male' and to maximize the most of your vacation we would advocate the arrival pattern mentioned for arrival as it is the best routing and for departure, we recommend a late night flight as it would mean generally being able to catch an afternoon domestic flight to get back to Male' allowing the majority of the day on the island and we generally are able to provide a late check out option. All of this information is available to guest via their chosen travel partners... or guests can reach out to us directly, we are always happy to help advise. Thank you kindly for choosing JA Manafaru and delighted it was a fabulous holiday. with gratitude Karen on behalf of Soodh and the JAM Family
