Nestled amidst stunning beaches and forests, Tui Magic Life Calabria garners appreciation for its tranquil setting, albeit some deem it a bit out of the way. While the resort's cleanliness and amenities receive high marks, highlighting pristine facilities and diverse dining options, guests consider the costs steep for the services provided. Rooms are commended for being spotless and roomy, yet comfort is sometimes compromised by subpar beds and temperamental air conditioning.
Service experiences vary, ranging from commendable to disorganized. The lively ambiance, complete with entertainment and events, is enjoyed by many, though it may border on overwhelming for those seeking serenity.

This was our first stay at a TUI Magic Life resort and I was impressed.
The resort itself is huge in scale and there is something for everyone, the program of activities could keep you entertained all day but equally you could do absolutely nothing and just relax.
We stayed in the private lodge which is adults only, 16 years +. The pool was big and had plenty of beds and large parasols each day and the pool was relaxing and quiet. Around 4pm-5pm each day the team came round with little treats like taster cocktails or ice cream and snacks, which was a nice touch.
The private lodge has a buffet restaurant which has a smaller offering than the large Magico buffet but equally just as good quality and a lot more chilled atmosphere. The bookable restaurant in the private lodge is great and has a set menu with 4 courses, plenty of options to suit all and the food was excellent.
Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens, there's lots of wildlife here so be prepared to see a few little lizards around. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay, TV only shows 2 English channels and these are the news channels but it's a smart TV so you can login to Spotify or Netflix etc if needed... The hairdryer in the bathroom is decent and not one you have to hold your finger on!
The only thing I would say for the room is there are not many sockets luckily we brought a double adapter plug so could charge two phones, and the plug socket is not next to the bed (that may just be a UK thing)
The room is cleaned every day and they come back in the evening to have another quick clean and refresh your beach towels...
The grounds around the hotel and around the private lodge are beautiful and well maintained truly a pleasure to walk through each day.
The walk to the beach is fab it's through a forest and there's little stops throughout the walk, a little play area, a chill out area with hammocks and music and water stations.
The beach is huge and so private with lovely views. If your in the private lodge there is a separate area on the beach which is peaceful and calm. The sunset is a must to see from the beach.
Tips- download the app on arrival it's a great tool and there are services on there such as ordering extra pillows for your room etc
Book your speciality restaurants in early as they only open on certain days and get full quick
Take a water bottle with you as there are plenty of water stations around the site to use or ask the bar to fill up for you
Don't forget the tourist tax on check out (around 2euros per person per night)
Book at reception the shuttle bus to Pizzo& Tropea
Dont pack beach towels these are included Private Lodge have dressing gowns and slippers provided and drinks in the fridge (waters, beer, soft drinks) There is an adults only section in the Magico buffet

Myself and my husband have just returned from this Tui Magic hotel we stayed in a private lodge and we had a wonderful time.
The resort is spotless, staff very helpful and the grounds so pretty with lovely flowers and gardens and at night with all the solar lights in the trees and floating in the pools makes it feel extra special.
We stayed in a private lodge which over looked the pool which had lovely views of the mountains and pool area. We pre booked our room through the Tui magic app which is well worth doing to guarantee a nice room but at an extra cost of €10 per night but worth it we felt.
We enjoyed a romantic candle lit dinner on the beach to celebrate our anniversary which was lovely watching the beautiful sunset with amazing food and service, an evening we will both always remember. Beautiful walk to the beach through the woods takes about 10 minutes.
We enjoyed all the speciality restaurants which were lovely especially the Italian restaurant we visited twice.
The food was lovely in the main restaurant, good selection of food, we enjoyed the pizza and the pasta station was also very good excellent lasagna, omelette at breakfast was also good with good selection of pancakes, fried eggs, bacon etc for breakfast. The wine was good as sometimes in All inclusive it can be unpalatable but the white and red was very nice as were the spirits and beer.
We hired a car for 3 days as hotel was quite remote and we travelled to Pizzo, Tropea and Reggio Calabria and found everywhere easy to find and get to and no problems parking. It was nice to be able to do our own thing and not be tied down by an organised over priced trip, well worth doing if you are confident driving abroad.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this resort, great for families lots for kids to do but also great for couples who want to relax in the private lodge area best of both worlds on one site.
Give it a try you won’t regret it! 👍🏻

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in the Private Lodge. The grounds of the resort are splendid.....meadows of lantana a lot of plumbago, bouganvilla, ibiscus , palms and in the enchanted wood going to the sea eucaliptus and pine trees.
The rooms, if a little small with only one armchair and the wardrobe inside the room, were spotless and cleaned twice a day. the shower on the other hand was enormous! Beds were confortable and a lot of sockets for phones etc. Wifi OK, came and went sometimes. You felt very protected with the antiCovid sanitation.
The food was great. We always ate at the Miracolo restaurant in the the Private Lodge and once at Oleo. There was a lot of choice; prawns, oysters, mussels tuna, swordfish, grouper and seabream etc.. Meatwise suckling pig, fillet steaks, lamb, praised beef and so on. To finish a lot of fresh fruit and delicious deserts like babas, fruit tartlets and sfogliatelle among the many! There was a light lunch with salads , local cheeses, ham etc. but if you wanted a full lunch there was always the main restaurant. And we discovered a local prize winner amaro called Jefferson.
Some little things that were a small problem. At the check-in (very ugly room) our suitcases went one way and we were told to find and walk to our room. This has never happened to us in a 4 star resort, and after making a fuss, we were al least escorted to our room by foot...( We are around our eighties and walking is sometimes difficult). On the return journey we were collected by buggy. We only went once to the sea as it is a long walk. Second little complaint. At the poolside bar at night there are no lights to play cards, and not having any kind of lounge , when it rains you go to your room.
Now the real success of Magic Life is the staff. From everyone from the cleaning ladies to the waiters and bar-tenders there was always a greeting and a warm smile. But the outstanding person who really made our holiday was the Private Lodge Manager Annalisa. She was so professional, kind and such a help to us. Any difficulty was sorted out straight away. A lovely person.

we booked the „maximum“ what was possible. Here a couple of facts:
1) No client centric approach
2) Music, music, music in „every corner“
3) For people, who want to find a quite and relaxed place: THIS is the wrong place to be and the wrong provider. If you tell them about their marketing (relaxing, quite atmosphere), they don’t care!!
4) Mattresses are hard as stone
5) A/C does not work well. Still to warm
6) Food: something between low cost and middle class: low cost of sales!
7) rooms: no noise absorption! You will hear everything! It starts with the cleaning from 8-12, then the music 11 hours, and you will hear the people and cleaners talking on the corridor.
8) employees seem not happy to work for clients. Better choosing a different job.
Sorry Magic Life, you did not learn anything from the crisis. Where is the customer perceived value visible and touchable?? THE Big NOISE is definitely no customer perceived value for a 2k vacation!! If you don’t change your approach, you will be without clients sooner or later!!

Dear Mr. alexanderberghall, thank you for your feedback, it is important for us to communicate with the guests in order to try to find a solution. The Guest Service Team is dedicated exclusively to welcoming all our customers, giving them information and solving any type of problem. As for the Private Lodge that is an area that is always really appreciated for being a peaceful and quiet place, anyway we already reported your issue and starting from this morning the music will be lower. Furthermore the housekeeping team is not authorized to access into the room before 9:00 , if you heard some noise this might came from other guests rooms and we will be ready to talk to them. Please let us know if there is something else that we can do for you in order to make you live a relaxing holiday and made you change your opinion. Have a nice day. Sunny regards,

Location: Whilst it’s location is relatively close to Lamezia Terme airport, it’s a 15min drive to the resort of Pizzo which you can only get to by using the TUI shuttle bus at a cost of 5 euros per person each way! Just a moneymaking project for TUI. Doesn’t cost me more than £5 return to get to my local town centre.
Accommodation: whilst clean and fairly spacious, there is no information on how anything works or about anything in the hotel for that matter. The biggest problem though is the lack of sound proofing which meant I could hear someone urinating in another room. Also loud banging of doors reverberated constantly.
Food: the worst part for me. Watered down fruit juices, soft drinks and cocktails. Food was either undercooked, overcooked or cold. The meat was fatty or chewy and there were bones in the fish. Potatoes were still white and raw. Food rehashed the next meal time. Waiters/waitresses clearing your plate before you had finished chewing etc. etc. Disappointing.
Whilst there many activities on site, everything had to be booked through the TUI app which went down on our stay so not conducive to booking anything. Also lack of availability was an issue.
There were some pluses at this hotel, there are some improvements that could and need to be made to really warrant the four star rating.

The pros for us were:
The room was very Modern and we loved the two part opening door in the room. The hotel were very big on looking after nature and we loved that there is water fountains everywhere for animals and for humans. There was even a big house and a cat hotel
We asked for an extra pillow came within a few hours it came to the room and we could do it through an app
Everything is clean - beach litter picked
Staff are very friendly
Cons:
Nothing around so can’t leave hotel I.e local bars and restaurants you have to get a taxi into Pizzo
Shop on site lacking crisps/ snacks and there was only ice cream at lunch so you had to pay for it if you wanted it throughout the day
Beach toilets were a bit neglected on the toilet seats
Only bingo for adults most nights quite late in the evening 9:30 onwards - entertainment in the evenings mainly for children/teens so most nights we had to entertain ourselves
Not many chargers in the room ( only one actual plug) and only one bedside table has a usb charger nothing else
Batteries for safe in Bali beds on beach weren’t there we asked just after 2 it took two hours for someone to come out and put batteries into the safe
Someone walked into our room using a key card speaking Italian as trying to shower and as two young girls travelling this was very concerning for us
Wifi drops out a lot or doesn’t work especially in the room
The food was meh usual buffet stuff and one night the chicken was pink in the middle

We booked our trip to Magic Life Calbria (private lodge) 2 weeks before travelling and were highly impressed with the complex during our week long stay. The staff were attentive, hardworking and all greeted you with a smile throughout the day. The rooms, though a little basic were spotlessly clean and a new beach towel was automatically provided each day.
The grounds were immaculately kept and even at this time of year there were flowers aplenty. The walk to the beach through the eucalyptus and pine forests was delightful and we enjoyed many dips in the sea which was warm and generally not rough. Its a good idea to take beach shoes, as the beach itself is shingly and banks steeply on entering the sea.
We took part in aqua classes and archery both of which were very well run. There were many other classes/activities on the agenda, but we decided to relax rather than rush around going to everything (our cycling tour was sadly, but understandably cancelled as it was raining)
The pool area was wonderful, with more than enough beds to relax on without being 'on top' of other people. The pool itself is huge and spotless and I enjoyed many a swim, often with no one else in the pool!
And last but DEFINITELY not least, the food. It was incredible! Mainly buffet, the ingredients were of an extremely high quality and very well cooked. The choice was amazing with fish, meat and vegetarian options every day. I've eaten worse food at some high end London eateries and cannot praise the chef(s) highly enough.
There was the option to eat at 3 other restaurants on site during the stay. We ate at the logde 'posh restaurant' but did not find the food to be particularly special (my soup was cold and my friend's steak rather tough) but our food at "The flavour restaurant' was tasty and made a change. We cancelled our trip to the Trattoria as the food at the Lodge buffet was soooooo good. The drinks are also plentiful and good!
All in all, an amazing holiday. Incredible value for money. I'd definitely recommend a stay here but would strongly advise to pay the extra to stay in the private lodge area.

My daughter and I visited here from 1st to the 8th October in a private lodge room 7123.
On arrival after only a 15 minute transfer check in was very organised and quick, taking less than 5 minutes. We walked to our room and the hotel brought our cases very promptly. We both thought the room a bit smaller than expected but pleasant, there were two negatives…..hardly any storage for clothes a few hangers in a small wardrobe and no draws for nik naks! And we only found one plug ! The rooms were cleaned and made spotless everyday, the whole hotel and grounds were kept immaculate! And this stood out as you could see staff constantly cleaning, even the pool guys anti bacted the steps getting out of the pool. We both agreed we were glad we were in the adults only section as it was so relaxing, the private lodge buffet was fantastic and was our favourite place to eat. The a la carte restaurants well I can only speak for one the Italian which we found very disappointing and left our food, we then cancelled the other two we had booked. The beach was lovely and so was the sea, plenty of beds, the beach bar and snack bar nice, we ate here for lunch, not a great choice but simple fresh tasty food presented well and always clean. The drinks in all the bars and restaurants were nice with choice of cocktails, can recommend the Aperol Spritz!
The wines were nice even the Prosecco was good along with their red wine. The entertainment was lacking for the adult bar in the evening, there was a violin player and a saxophone player while we were there on two nights only.. consequently we both had early nights. ( nice touch with the wraps on chairs in the adult bar in the evening)
We went on one trip to Pizzo which is a must, a lovely town with beautiful views. We hired a tuc tuc which was €30 and totally enjoyed the experience. ( visit the church cave by the beach) If you want a quite week away with nice food and good weather to recharge your batteries I would recommend.
My last comment would be overall staff pleasant, hotel well kept with beautiful surroundings and lovely food. Shout out to the pasta guy who worked in the adult lodge restaurant cooking the delicious pasta….our favourite go to!

We came as a family comprising of mum and dad and teenage son and nephew. We had 2 rooms next to each other so was absolutely ideal for our needs. As the boys were over 16 we were automatically upgraded to the adult private lodge area which can not be faulted.
The rooms on the first floor had pool views and were well equipped and spotlessly clean.
Mini bar was filled daily and fresh pool towels brought to your room every evening.
The adult Lodge area is fantastic and so relaxing, perfect for 2 parents wanting to get away from kids!
The boys spent most of their days around the family pool which was really busy and perfect for them but not for us. We did spend some time around that area playing darts and going the disco etc..on a night. We only cramped the boys style when we were around there and they couldn't wait to get rid of us. The had a wide group of friends they had made and we were not wanted!
The boys had the best holiday ever!
Our holiday was pretty great aswell. The food in the lodge buffet is amazing. The staff are lovely and helpfull and the surroundings are beautiful.
The walk to the beach is particularly special through a scenic forest with a park for little ones, archery, boules, chess, outdoor gym and chill out area.
The beach is absolutely stunning also with all the amenities down there you could need. Food and drink isn't as good down there as the main restaurants. Plenty of sunbeds though and even a private area for the private lodges.
We did dine in the a la Carte restaurants but in our opinion the lodge buffer was much better.
Drinks are good. The 24 hour all inclusive is just sandwiches and pastries on a night but there is always something to eat. Putting a pizza oven on for the 24 hours would be a great touch for the adults coming home from the evening entertainment. The pizzas are delicious 😋
All in all this was one of our best holidays for the price and with a short transfer it definitely ticked all the boxes for us. Would definitely recommend 👌

Firstly we arrived from Manchester to find out the Gatwick flight landed at the same time so the queue for check in at the hotel was awful, only to be given rooms on the 2nd floor after I emailed the hotel 3 weeks before we were due to arrive stating we had disabled members in our family of 10. On my way to reception we met Diana the tui rep, thank god for her 👏🏼she’s a massive asset to the place, she sorted the whole mess out with reception while we ate lunch, she even showed us where to eat lunch and took my phone number. 4pm we finally got in rooms that suited us but my sister had ongoing issues like the door not locking and the hairdryer didn’t work no toilet roll, little niggly things she had to keep reporting, they said she should download the magic life app to report anything, which she did and you have to book anything through it. No brewing stuff in room but there’s a mini fridge with a few soft drinks in and bottles of water. Rooms were nice and big, and kept lovely and clean.
The hotel itself is huge but again kept very clean. the beach (hard shale not sand)-is a good 5 or even 10 minute walk away albeit a nice walk through the woods.
So now here’s the thing, we’re in Italy renowned for icecream but it’s not even included on all inclusive and the ice cream they did have at lunch was wall’s 🤷🏻♀️ The food was a bit salty for me but was ok, a little samey yesterdays pork in stew todays kind of thing. we tried the Italian restaurant one night but it didn’t stand out enough to much more than mention we went.
The entertainment staff were good Davide and Michelle stood out we played boccia and shuffle board most days with them.
The hotel is VERY isolated absolutely nowhere to walk to, we got a taxi into pizzo one day, had to order it at reception it costs €12 per person, no buses and it’s too far to walk, so if you want to go it’s the only way, so it seems they can charge what they like. Lovely sandy beach in pizzo but far to hilly if you have any members who aren’t that mobile.
Not enough to do at night, entertainment team did a couple of shows but that’s about it, the other nights were Italian singers and dancing that was very dated and boring, and a disco but didn’t start till 9.30 or even 10pm
Overall the holiday was good, but not really geared up for the British lots more tweaks are needed for me to give it any more than a 3. But if your going look out Diana she’s so lovely 🥰

sandy and gritty and a sharp incline into the water
Just came back from here. Genuinely can't remember seeing an HDMI port but I'm sure there will be one - you could definitely get to the back of the TV as I pulled the plug out to turn off the annoying blue led light :)
Hope the weather holds - ours was forecast as poor but turned out to be in the 26c to 30c range.
Yes. It costs 10 Euros per person and is in a minibus. Pizzo is lovely but very hilly! You MUST try the Tartuffo ice creams in the MANY places in the main square.
Been here a week it has rained three out of seven days usually early morning or late evening I would pack an umbrella and a jacket
