Anton is terrific and his B&B is very homely. Breakfast was especially good and helpfully pointed us in the direction of a good restaurant in the evening. My only criticism was that the shower wasn't amazing but apart from that all good.
We arrived late in the afternoon. Anton was there waiting for us. Then showed us to our cottage number 2. It was a lovely cosy place, with everything we needed, Including a complimentary decanter of old brown sherry. Then we had an amazing breakfast with lovely fresh fruits, cheese, cold meats, toast eggs and good coffee. Anton is a lovely man and host, who made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again next time we're here in South Africa. Tracy from the Netherlands and Gordon from the UK.
Beautiful tranquil setting, enjoy the feeling of my own private cottage although just large room and bathroom. Excellent communication with owner for arrival and departure. Wish I could stay another night!
What a lovely decorated room and facility. Breakfast was excellent and host is friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the garden was a bonus. Could sit under the pergola and the fire was ready, just needed to be lit. Highly recommended.
Me and my family absolutely loved the getaway at 28 on hoop. It felt like a home away from home. Our very friendly and genuine host Anton, was warm in receiving us and made us. We never need for anything as all the shops and anemities was close at hand, or less than 2 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend a stay.
28 on Hoop is a beautiful & peaceful BnB, nestled in the small town of Bredasdorp. About a 30 min drive to Cape Agulhas and 20 mins from Arniston, it's well positioned to explore the area. The host Anton is warm and very hospitable - he went the extra mile to accommodate us and made a perfect restaurant recommendation. The breakfast was delicious & filling, whilst the outside breakfast area was peaceful, with lots of lovely birds feeding at the feeder. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed - lots of lovely bits of design also. Would 100% recommend if you are visiting in the area.
We are locals from Cape Town and my husband and I decided that once we can travel again that we will start visiting all the beautiful small towns in the province and Bredasdorp was first on the list. I stumbled on this gem, 28 On Hoop which offered B&B. The service, the rooms, the breakfast that was served and last but not least the super friendly host Anton was worth every part of the trip. I would like to encourage all South Africans to support our local B&B's, guesthouses etc and let them start to flourish again. Anton thank you from the bottom of our heart for your hospitality and amazing tips about the area. We will see you again.
Very nice Guesthouse with garden, lounge area, and brai (fireplace) in the evening. very good Breakfast! The area of the house is very quite. The Bathroom is nice renovated. Parking in front of the house is possible and save.
Great welcome. Room full of character, with everything you would expect and more (games, videos, books, biscuits, glass of port). Breakfast perfect and host charming. Enjoy an evening glass of wine beside the fire pit. Just excellent
As i wanted so much to visit this town i also needed comfortable place to stay. On my search i saw 28 On Hoop quite atractive on pictures (which sometimes disapoints) and when i irrived at the place i found the true reflection of what was on pictures. A warm welcome from Anton who was our host, in fact this was just a crown of a constant communication via what's up with him. This alone makes the guest feel valued and important. After this warm welcome we were shown our room which was also very neat and meeting our expectations. Introduction to the town itself was done by Anton with all retaurants and their times of closur. This was important as you need to plan your time of going around in an unknown destination so as to allow your self good time of exploring it. He went further to tell us places of interest in town and the surounding areas. Coming to breakfast it was real exeptional (we thank him for that) it alowed us to go through the day visiting surounding towns without worying about food we ended up only eating at dinner time. We really enjoyed our stay in a very safe enviroment where we spent both night with good walks around town with no fear . We realy wouldn't mind other visit to the town and stay at the same vanue. …
