At first you think you will never find your room as there are long corridors. After a while you understand that there is an inner courtyard with the 4th side missing! We asked for a room with walk in shower but there don't seem to be many. They gave us a small but adequate room but had to find help to understand how the shower actually worked. Dining areas small but elegant, and the breakfast selection was amazing. Won't say anything about the evening meals as we were with a group. Lovely new garden with a gleaming swimming pool. Unfortunately there are no hand rails so my husband could not use the pool. There are steps but they are not easy to see. I enjoyed a short swim but I do think that the pool was designed to look good rather than for proper swimming. Lovely bar area but it only opens late afternoon. All the staff are really helpful Definitely recommend but 4 stars because of the pool and the shower!

We holidayed here for a week & stayed at this hotel ideal for touring around beautiful Tuscany. We picked up our hire car at Pisa airport & were very pleased that the hotel had plenty of secure parking in their new car park. Our room was a junior suite, spacious, comfortable & within the room rate we had free use of the hotels spa. Although this was bookable there was no problem getting a session that suited us & enjoyed the sauna, Turkish steam room & hydra therapy pool. Continental breakfast was included in our room rate with plenty of choice & enjoyed in pleasant surroundings. Outdoor pool & seating area was wonderful. Enjoyed relaxing there during the hot afternoons. Very pleasant bar area with excellent staff. Fabrizio always welcomed you with a smile, was attentive getting our drinks & snacks & could always recommend a local restaurant for our evening meal. We had a relaxing & comfortable stay thorough enjoyed walking around Colle di Val d’Elsa & exploring Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Pienza & Monteriggioni. Plenty of choice of restaurants serving delicious food & wine in Colle di Val D’Elsa all walking distance from the hotel.

Hotel was quite hard to find, I think mainly because the reception was on the second floor. But once in side it definitely feels like a Palace. Loved it with the suite and the paintings in the ceiling just gives it a grand feel. Not something any modern fancy hotel cam replicate. Just makes the experience unique. Staff was amazing also. They arranged a whole table for our birthday cake at night. Thank you

This is a beautiful classy hotel in the old part of town. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with helpful and friendly service. The hotel organised dinner for us which was also good. I think this hotel is real good value for money and they serve a good breakfast too.

For our first nights in a different country after the pandemic, we went back to somewhere we knew well. We'd been several times before to Palazzo San Lorenzo and every time we'd had a faultless stay. This time it was no different. A lovely clean room, very quiet and cool (10 out of 10 for the air conditioning as the end of May was proving to be unseasonably hot!) and friendly staff. They had contacted us in advance to let us know their restaurant was not yet open, and offered to book a table a local establishment (see separate review for Portanova). Breakfast was an extensive buffet in the restaurant, with probably everything you could possibly imagine wanting for breakfast. A very nice stay, very much as previously, the only noticeable difference lots of hand sanitiser in public spaces and facemasks.

We went to this hotel for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. We stayed in the junior suite, a very spacious room, beautiful and clean. A big bathroom with 2 sinks, bath and shower. Delicious breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, yoghurt, muesli, cereal,…) and an amazing spa. We had 2 massages, they were very professional. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked were we could eat traditional spaghetti bolognese and they even made the reservation for us. Would really recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.

The hotel is located in a lovely Tuscan town and in a handy location for visiting various beautiful cities and towns around it. The room was very spacious and well appointed and service was efficient, if not very friendly. Breakfast was pretty varied and generous. We were a bit disappointed by the spa - for EUR20pp it didn't really offer much, as enjoyable as it was after a busy day touring.
