The Hotel Le Terme is located in the palace designed by Rossellino in 1400 which was Pope Pio II Piccolomini’s summer residence. The Hotel overlooks the famous thermal water basin that features a unique square where for 2000 years the hot thermal water has gushed at a temperature of 49° from a depth of 1000 metres. The building has been recently renewed and it offers all the comforts to ensure travellers a memorable Tuscan experience.

We go to Bagno Vignoni regularly and whenever possible we stay at Albergo Le Terme. It’s romantic, absolutely charming, food is absolutely Superb, and much more you’ll discover on your own based on your own tastes. But it’s not for everyone. You prefer historic buildings, magnificent views from your room, and convenient location to start exploring (on foot) the surrounding villages ? Look no further, it’s the only hotel in Bagno Vignoni that offers it all (for the view on the Roman pool, choose the Superior rooms). But the SPA can be busy during Italian holidays, rooms are not ample, and you will pay for the location.

Being frequent guests over the years, it was great to return after the pandemic. The perception has always been very good, but now it was even better. Beautiful rooms, fully equipped, nice and friendly staff, always willing to provide solution on requests, that makes a big difference in such attitude. We also found that the restaurant had improved and drew conclusions that next time we will stay indoors with both lunch and dinner. This is a perfect location for exploring beautiful Val d´Orcia and its surroundings by car, foot or bike. Next time we will combine our stay with some hiking between Bagno and Montalcino!

We were shocked by the massive and unnecessary use of plastic glasses for tea and water in the relaxing areas. It is more sustainable and reasonable to provide drinking glasses and cups, since there are obviously the facilities for washing them - being an hotel...
The water of the pool in the Roman sauna was dirty and few guests didn't care at all of the 'Quiet please' sign at the entrance.
We had to pay the 'prefestivo' rate (being the day before a bank holiday) on Monday 30th December, which is not a prefestivo, as bank holiday is 1st January hence the day before is 31st December (not the 30th).
A scarse customer service as no-one at checkout and payment asked us whether everything was ok.

The strong point of the Le Terme hotel is undoubtedly its location, convenient for walking in the surrounding area, suggestive for those who choose to have dinner or lunch on the terrace and very close to the natural spa. To be a three-star hotel, the organization reserves a lot of care for guests, for example the possibility of using the spa freely and without reservation for the whole day. The kit with soft bathrobes and towels, flip-flops and caps are an added value. The natural thermal baths that flow inside the Spa are certainly one of a kind and going from a boiling hot tub to a warm one with hydromassage is a pleasure. The structure is very clean, the garden pleasant and relaxing. Let's say that the strong point is undoubtedly the breakfast: very rich, tasty, with special products such as Favo, gluten-free or lactose-free products, excellent coffee and every sweet and savory delicacy.
Perhaps for a three-star hotel the price is a bit excessive but it must be said that we stayed during the weekend and that, overall, the Borgo is quite VIP and populated by expensive hotels and quite wealthy American tourists.

Delicious dinner in a comfortable setting with super kind, patient and attentive service— not something you find around every corner traveling these days! We were struck by the smiles and intentional positive greetings received from all staff members— cleaning staff, front desk, restaurant and spa! Don’t miss the rooftop solarium with stunning 360 degree views or the chance to relax in the terme waters and delightful garden spaces. A great location with proximity to the best wineries in Italy and an exceptional wine list in house! Comfortable beds and bedding+ convenient parking. Perfect for a weeklong vacation on Tuscany or a weekend retreat!

Bagno Vignoni is a small delightful Tuscan village. The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to the medieval thermal bath. The view form the windows of our room had something magic. The hotel as well is located in an old fascinating building but has all the comforts. The rooms are not very large but clean with bathrobes, slippers and towel for each person for the spa. The staff is friendly welcoming and always helpful. Breakfast is excellent with a choiche of Tuscan cured meat and cheese and delicious homemade cakes. The only negative point is the pool. First of all It is only indoor so you miss the pleasure to be in the warm water while outside is cold. Second it is and rather small and during the weekend when it is open also to external customers it is really too crowded.

Enchanting location, a village that exudes history and transmits calm and serenity. Convenient and close car park. Impeccable reception service. An elevator worthy of being called such, not even a fingerprint on the mirrors even if you look for it. Standard room on the 2nd floor, clean and welcoming as well as quiet. The bathroom with window is excellent. Remarkable catering, fast and very rich breakfast service, you are spoiled for choice or spoiled for choice, stellar staff, prepared, active and very attentive to detail. Wine list capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. SPA although a little small, very well organised. SPA staff smiling and helpful. I hope that doesn't sound like a threat to you, but we'll be back. Let's just hope soon.

A place of authentic relaxation, the hotel directly overlooks the fairy-tale square of Bagno Vignoni. 3 night stay from 3rd to 6th December. Medium-large structure but which retains that intimacy and elegance of other times. We had a superior room which was also adequately sized to accommodate our two dogs who were given truly pet-friendly treatment. The restaurant is of quality, medium-high prices with a vast choice of wines. We had a personalized, very intimate tasting in the cellar located underground and visible through a porthole also from the upper floor; thanks to the sommelier Stefania who expertly guided us along a very interesting tasting journey. The wellness area is not large but equipped with everything you need (especially thermal water) to offer authentic relaxation: a thermal bath, a hydromassage, a Roman sauna and many possibilities for massages and treatments. Thanks to the staff for their courtesy and kindness. Until we meet again.

Excellent experience. A very relaxing 3 night stay. A truly peaceful place. Access to the SPA from the hotel is very convenient (with the lift you go directly to the SPA). Possibility of thermal bath, hydromassage, Roman sauna, mud baths, massages... Everything at your fingertips. The cuisine is also excellent. Experience to be repeated.
